Camping probably worked better for you because other people were also camping.

It does make for an interesting event in the pvp phase. Now only if pvp gear was updated .

You can only get one "Mischievous Briefing" per character by collecting the five investigations, so being tradeable isn't the cause of the massive camping/cruising of players: the problem is simply too many players for too few spawn locations with overly-slow respawn rates.

I know there are supposed to be 21 spawn points, but my own experience with about 8 characters so far suggests it's more like six to eight spots. I certainly hope my impression is incorrect.

So all the amusement mile thing does is give u the base item that I've gotten dozens of times on alts in the vault. A base item that u chase and all it does is laugh at you.

There is apparently literally no point whatsoever to the entire affair. Even by April fools standards this is extremely lame. You'd think they would have more important things to focus on.l

I get it, people camping is annoying, but not sure how the devs authored the evil plot to have people camp out ... wait, not worth it. Sigh.

if that would´ve been the case, it would not be appreciated at all, is a reward, and as reward implies some job you know before getting it.

You can only get one from the briefing. I'm not getting what you mean by making money.

I don't know about that. Me and another guy spent what felt like a half hour, not even on the spawn point, just close to it, waiting for a spawn. We moved further away and what do you know, it immediately spawned. It respawned pretty quickly after that, until someone came in and stood on the spot. Then, nothing. Of course until they got off it and lo and behold it spawned.

I hope this is looked into. It's about as fun as waiting at a traffic light during rush hour, and nobody has been behind the wheel of a car before.

i cant understand the whining i had the opposite problem , not enough ppl who collect them so they can respawn faster... so i needed about 2h to get them all because they were all white for me ( uncollectable) ...

guess ppl are used to cry about everything nowadays...

I deliberately ignore people who do that. if you flew to the end of the construction lane and expect to get in line instead of just merging at a safe point, then you'd better hope i'm not the guy who's making that decision : you'll end up needing a campfire before i let you cut in.

Yep, you can get multiple base items via the vault but you can only get each briefing once then they become white and unselectable for that character.

When I was getting mine at the start of the event I counted 2 under the bridge near the roller coaster (each end), one under the bridge going out to that pier, one near the boarding area of the roller coaster, one up on arch of said coaster, one on the ferris wheel halfway up, two on different watchtowers so that's at least 8 and I think I got one on or near the funhouse and a second one on the ferris wheel too.

Same of course you get idiots like the guy a few years back who felt I was driving too slowly so he sped up, looped round my car (cutting in right in front of me so I had to hit the brakes hard) and then accelerated THROUGH the red light which was why I was slowing in the first place. Still I really hate people who are constantly changing lanes or leaving things till the last minute because it gets them a LITTLE extra time (the number of times i've caught up with the car doing it further on eye roll) and ignoring the increased odds of an accident since your generally doing said lane changing a lot closer in front of other cars. I don't even care if your Joe Amazing in a souped up sports car that can stop or turn on a dime your in traffic with lots of OTHER multi-ton hunks of metal, plastic and glass driven at potentially over a hundred kilometers an hour by people who may have just started driving alone that panic when they see your car coming at them or snap and slam on the accelerator to force you back out of their line by means of their superior velocity.

your stockholm syndrome is strong sir. do i expect things for free? nope. do i expect to not have to log into a video game, stand in one place for an hour hoping to beat 5 other people clicking to get a briefing? yes. what is wrong with you people who think 1-2 hours NOT doing anything is acceptable and fun? let me guess... you think the game is just fine and the devs are doing a "great job" all the time and tell them never to listen to others.

good to know. i guess. i'm not waiting around 2 hours like some of these people though.

i presumed from the large amount of them in the marketplace and the large amount of players huddled around spawn points that they were farming to resell. not just "devs didn't make enough spawn points for player load".

Like as in you could only get 1 in the vault and 1 from the briefing. You couldn't get multi from the vault multi times on 1 toon.

But, again, you cannot get more than a single base item from the outside briefs. What people want to do with the item is irrelevant to the point that characters aren't crowding to get more than one base item per character hunt. The only way to get more than one is with another character or via the Vault.
