Last time i checked My quantum does around 25-30k average and 70k-100k with temp vortex
I've taken the combat ratings into account. I'm not denying that they've been buffed, i'm saying that the overall damage is still really low. The best we can hope for is a proper update to the base damages of a few powers next update. Until then, even what appears to be the optimal loadout isn''t hitting for anything substantial and it's falling behind against most powers.

I have to admit that since the start, I have never used a movement SC. I will give it a go. I also did not know that a movement sc could buff crystal.
Thing is when some did test, they were in the perfect situation in the league hall sparring targets.
The data was skewed to the max. So there were nerfs and some unjust.
We'll see what happens.
At this point since people are required to be up close to do good damage, mobility will be a big aspect to avoid damage.
Then we'll have to see what can be done to Fury and Crystal's weapon attacks and power regen.
And of course the base level of things on certain powers.

Yeah, it powers the Fury and the Crystal, so it really helps max your damage output.

I know things will never be the same as when against sparring targets, so maybe if things are going badly for other powers it can beat them. But at this point i'm just hoping Earth really gets the love it needs next update, as even I was surprised at the damage of some powers such as Rumblecrush. There are many ideas for crystal as well, such as the power regen on totem.
They have so many ideas to work with from the community, I hope they actually do it justice next update, I know this buff was only to hold people together.

It's depressing. And Sorc needs love too.
Their Summoning tree and some Destiny moves need serious attention.

what people gave to realize with Tunso, he is a hard sell.
Sorcery would be better if they at least made final ruin hit really hard.
I ever understood the earth vs sorcery debates in the test forums. Didn't make any sense to me, but tbh it seemed to mostly come from earth users saying it wasn't up to par with sorcery and since they were similar powers....yada, yada.....
Now neither power is really striking any fear in anyone.
During a 5 minute period in which I was able to use two SCs (I intentionally built it up before testing), my damage was 500 DPS higher for that 5 minute period than it was with Totem. Nice call.
I wanna take back what I said about df. It's good and makes my rotation a ton smoother. The problem is running with two earth dps both using df. And that damn range you have to be in for Crystal to do the most damage. I think that was the problem with my first set of testing.
Actually Defile, Sandblast, and Final Ruin are the best finishers in game.
At the base level, Sorc was superior.
thing is, Fury got unnecessary changes.
And you're forced to do melee, which sorcery was never good at.
there's gotta be some things to accomodate Sorcery at this point.
Outside of Quantum due to the bug, all powers require the same close to mid-range attacks to do great damage. It's why you see so many players get too close and get KO'd because they're paying more attention to doing damage than staying alive. For most fights, it's fine to be close like that, but players also have to know the boss and when it uses its close AOE damage to avoid that damage when the time comes. For some bosses, it's about timing, but since the close damage from the boss can be random, there is always going to be some risk involved.
Risk and reward is pretty much how this game works for damage role.
I don't know what you're doing but earth is pretty much buffed, if you're not using crystal you're doing it wrong, remember that you also have to be 12-m from your enemy so crystal does more damage, as well as keeping the PI all the tim.
Soloing raven with earth even before update is a cake walk, same with all the powers you say, it's just about knowing how to use powers.
Don't trash talk about your own power when if you're not getting the max out of it.
Even before the update i saw earth users do good damage, yes of course it wasn't at the level of other powers, but if you did it right you'd never be severely outdpsed.
since the update is earth tanking up to par with ice?
He uses crystal and we've acknowledged the Raven example was terrible. We've been doing everything we can to get the most damage possible, it's still falling short.
Well falling short of what? Quantum? Everything in the game is short of quantum, but earth is supperior at the moment than a lot of other powers, Earth is balanced at the moment.
I haven't tested it since the update, but before from what I say final ruin wasn't even worth having in your loadout because you could do more damage with a regular rotation.
I just need to go experiment. I've been sorcery since about the time the game went live....I've taken a bunch of breaks here and there...Took the longest break after weapon mastery was introduced....
Ok then, can you show us a video of your loadout in raid situations so we can see what we're doing wrong?
Oh I get it. I just think it fits badly with the pet am. Might be a bit biased though
