The difficulty is kind of on par with the previous SMs, hardly a group of endgame (325+) casual players will be able to get past the first couple rounds without someone very experienced to lead them, the great majority of pug groups can't beat the first rounds atm. If the idea was to allow Legion CR entry groups to beat it, then the first 10 rounds need to be toned down a bit, not only because it's hardly puggable, but also because it takes too long to kill anything with a 1-1-1-1 composition, even more if the dps isn't maxed out on artifacts and gear

Honestly with the 4 roles, it passes "cream", you just have to block the skulls and dodge some stuff, but with the 4 roles it's fine. I think that the alerts should all go in this direction, it finally allows trolls to be useful to make an alert in any case in this SM I took a great pleasure in my first experience of this SM

Also, GG for the vendor and the linked currency, I had this idea in mind too, vendor + currency, but I was afraid that it would be expensive items like with the DLC, but here, no, it's fine and finally, finally, I find basic items that I wanted to get for a long time, great bravo, finally, a "reasonable" and successful thing !!!

Now, I just hope they don't make things too difficult !

got up to round 10 with pugs, but the tank just kept dying to the tank statue in zues fight. some tank powers you can easily kite, others that add gets 1 swing at you and you die through all shields.

we were all 325+. thought the 1st zues fight would be more forgiving to pugs.

Increase abyssal horns drops. Been spamming with 3 others no one has seen one

Tank statue is a pain. Died once because of it, but only because i wasn't careful. If you use chrono emitters and kite a little bit, that part shouldn't be to hard. Excited to see, what will happen today at R20 with those.

Did the first Rounds (1-9) with 3 Groups Kind of because ppl had to leave and stuff.
We had some wipes because ppl were not paying Attention for a small second or just forgot About the mechanics.
With the 3rd Group we beat R10 rather easy.

    - Water Heal
    - Rage Prec DPS
    - Mental Troll
    - Ice Tank

All Cr 330 or 331 with artifacts on 200 or 160 if not really needed higher.

Communication was key and we really had fun with there. We tried to get to R12 checkpoint but wiped at R12 and called it for the night. Was already late and I had to get up early :D

    And just to annoy People.
    I GOT THE HORNS!

Update: spent several hours trying to beat Zeus, trying different tactic; we always wiped at the tank statue. Same setup as before: full 200 artifacts, CRs around or just under 330. It doesn't help that that the animation for Zeus's white circle attack (idk what it's called) doesn't always show up for me, despite having graphics maxed. We'll try again tomorrow.

    white circle attack?
if you're referring to the white circles on the floor, he only does that in response to orbital strikes.

so either dont use orbitals, or communicate when you drop one and be ready to move

Sm does a decent job at putting your skills to the test. Some bosses you can tank fine and some you gotta kite them around because they hit so hard. I would say keep trying because at the end of the day. SM can make you a better player all around, and that’s what matters more lol.

Don’t pug SM. It’s not an enjoyable experience. I tried it soon as it came out, and after seeing our DPS die 5+ times because he just wouldn’t block after telling him to. I gave up lol

I could see how the pug groups would be getting stuck in the first couple rounds. I thought it was a ton of fun and hope it doesn't get nerfed and I say that as someone not sure I'll get to round 20 to get my eagle.

Got to Zeus statue with pugs. I was on my 331 but the pugs were 326-328.

I then pugged my alt to round 13. Was I in some fail groups yes. But dont act like you cant find talented pugs.

Those circles spawn in response to using orbitals in that particular fight, which is a big no-no.
The same thing happens on round 20 with the statues. We beat it on our 2nd try, and as my advice to you: I'd just taunt the add and keep moving. It's not worth the risk of being debuffed and dying to Zeus. The tank statue will follow you, but if you got a good troll, they will help stun the add so you can escape. So leave the stunning to the troll and have your dps save their dmg trinkets/pets and SC for that particular add, to burn it out quick.

Much luck on your runs for Round 20!

Tnx for the tip. For now Mr. Freeze is my Kryptonite. Sometimes when he lunges me even with shield and in block (he is without immunity and should be countred by the block) he one shots me. Frustrating as hell.

That makes it even more special if you manage to get it. People need to know in mmos it’s not ok to get everything and if you earn something it makes it more satisfying when you do get it. I’m rooting for you.

That seems like a nice touch, bosses that respond to specific things. It seems has a degree of interaction. That i would like to hear gets expanded on.

Well you gotta be careful about blocking at certain times in SM, in that case I just hang back and let my higher defense (powerset defense while not blocking is higher than blocking defense) take it with a shield at all times. I watch for his launch back attack or roll attacks that can be lunged quite a bit. I'm also rifle which can lunge from a long distance without getting too close to the boss. Also many players don't know about his rain freezing mechanic. You gotta get to a "defrosted" generator/boiler to stay unfrozen, which is why it's important they stay unfrozen. I usually head over to one and the group goes to another ( the game gives you like 15-20 secs to get to one without insta freezing you), I fight him a bit and then he goes to freezing the one I'm at. At that point I head over to the one my group is at to avoid any other dmg Mr Freeze might throw my way after freezing the boiler ( again after being at a boiler, the game gives you a 15 sec immunity period from freezing when moving from boiler to boiler). By that time the rain is over so you can kite the boss again around in a circle, lunging him here and there, when you see the opportunity. Also the blue balls attack he launches from his rifle is even a one shot for tanks so don't get hit by those. If you have any other tanking questions be free to hit me up in game, my Forum username here is the same as my in game mains name. I'm wouldn't mind getting in vc to give quick tips.

Ok made it from r1 to 75% through manta with a 312 celestial healer and rage tank , still pug.

I feel like SM is in a pretty good place. Made it through round 10 in a pug; so I’ve unlocked all the rewards I was interested in, and I’ve been able to see the “story” (since the next 20 rounds just repeat what I’ve already seen). Now all I have left to worry about is building marks (mostly for forever vendor items).
