Downtime Server Downtime - May 19, 2016 - Episode 24, Game Update 60, and the Booster Bundle!

Here i was hoping the devs would have half a brain and wait another month instead of filling the game with more bugs, they obviously can't handle a month. Just look how much success they had last month the game was down more then it was up

Wow!!! I'm Truly surprised that a game that's 5 plus years old , has made a lot of money and has added a New console to it's Faithful Gamers , Still Has THE SAME ISSUES ON THE NEW CONSOLE THAT'S ON THE OLD CONSOLE. I FIRST PLAYED DC on the PS3 and to my surprise the Same Exact issues that made me Stop playing this game then is still present almost 5 years later. Yes I'm a Full Paying Customer, But COME ON MAN.

I won't even argue that its a port, my game on Xbox telling me to press triangle for a move actually cracked me up

But DLC and other ways for them to make money is the only reason the game still lives on

Back right before it originally went FTP Sony was totally against it, they wanted to can the game Instead of making it free to play
I don't remember what the game was but during that time there was a FTP game with microtransactions doing good which is probably why they did it


Later on in the years SOE cut the DCUO dev team apart, and if I'm not mistaken when daybreak bought it out I believe they lost almost half of what remained



Not saying I disagree with the fact that they knew servers would be an issue and should have planned a bit better but they can't simply all work for free to fix issue instead of dlc and game updates which aim to fix issues


That being said most of the time new dlc and updates bring new bugs or bring back old bugs that were fixed before but that's all part of the game of making games


I've been frustrated with it at times recently as well, I'm just more glad about the fact that it's finally on Xbox since none of my friends have the know how or patience to build a gaming pc

I must admit, i have played this game a verrry long time. I stoped over a year ago and recently started back up.
There are a lot of bugs still around, that have been there a very long time.. those long time players like myself know what im talking about.
For example, timing on block/counter, sudden HUD vanish, raid boss random glitchs ect. Always been there.
But, hey. In all that time playing, its been a great game. And still is. When i left, CR was 112ish... loving all the new content. And now theres more? Sweet. Lol Good thing i made it to 155 before the update. Gonna atleast try them both out in the first 10 mins of reopen.

here's an idea from a new poster that is not panicking,but is still pissed off for good reason. Upload then new episode to a secondary server (the one they've been using for testing for the last month, e.g.) and keep the original server open until the new greed uploads. THEN shut down the world long enough to switch primary servers. Won't help shutting down the world for most of the weekend like last month because of inadequate testing and enormous bugs, but it would be a better alternative to this ****!

I'm happy it's on xbox also but we all know it Clearly shunt have been released in its state but it's all for money and nothing else so I get it

probably makes too much sense for most of you long time posters to get.

Im relatively new to the game, and I'm loving it so far. I own all three of the DLC packs, and im about to get my Hard Light toon to lvl 30 tonight when I get home. In my own opinion, I understand that games are very complicated things, and bugs do happen. Which is why i'm very forgiving for freezes and such.
