Lose a fan base by keeping the game updated and fun to play? All online games need to go through updates and maintenances . No need to act like a spoiled child because you can't play for a few hours every few months.

I never implied (directly or indirectly) that they need to give out anything (other than respect/gratitude), but merely pointing out the weight of this situation rests solely on shoulders of those collecting funds to provide a service.

Fair enough. That point I was making was more related to the original post I quoted; demanding that they give things out to compensate for the hardware failure.

I apologize for the confusion, i was refering to USPS when i ment to refer to USPC, the PC versions of both servers should resume online activity very shortly !! get out your gold and blue suits folks loll

I wasn't saying that. However, different servers and different ways of running this game entitle different things. In this case it was their hardware failure and them trying to make sure it doesn't occur again while they're adding the additions to the PC server.

I get that, but I have never seen such an unreliable game as this. I shouldn't have to be wondering if the servers will be down every time I connect. Like many, I pay monthly for Legendary, and being unable to access the service I am paying for without any form of recompense is just not good enough. Are they adding the downtime to our subscriptions? Or are we having to write off these hours as wasted due to somebody monumentally goofing up?

Something I find moderately amusing... My pc randomly decided a few months back that it just wouldn't run any SOE games, at all. It would download them, but not be able to update. I had tried reinstalling numerous times. Eventually, I said forget it and just gave up hope on playing DCUO on my pc again, at least until I got a new one. Last night, I decided to try downloading and reinstalling DCUO again. I left it to download and install overnight. I get up today and try to play, just to find out that there's an update. AND that the USPC servers are going to be down for longer than other servers. I find it amusing that the day I finally get to get back online after months of being on hiatus, I can't log in due to unforeseen issues LOL
Anyways, looking forward to getting back online. I've REALLY missed my characters, my friends, and my League.

Mepps is greatest troll EVER!!. servers were prolly ready 20 mins before due time but the tears that start rolling once they're 1 min late on downtime are too priceless to miss. Top Job Mepps who won the bet on guessing how long the 1st QQ post would take??

I will agree with you on that. However we don't know whether it was someone goofing up or just an accident, Hardware failures arent always on the person's ended, it could be just a lot of things going into the game at one point. Who knows? Yes i think they should add those hours or however back, but by subbing people have to understand the risk, no matter the MMO.
