It's pretty lame that they had downtime yesterday, and now downtime today during the middle of the day, when they could have easily done it all at the same time. I know someone said that we pay SOE for a service which includes maintenance... no what I pay for is game time. If they've got to spend 6 hours a week maintaining outdated technology, it'll cost them subs and players. Ask Bioware (SWTOR)... ask Trion. They both upgraded to servers with architecture that only requires an hour or two a week, and even then they can often skipp a week or two. There's a lot of players who get shafted with with current downtime schedule and now two downtime days in a row when only one was needed.

Try read my post again, cause U obviously missed something....lol
Idc if they wanna do an earlier fix/update/patch, as long as they change the time in their posts OR actually stick with the times they posted. !!!

Yh that's about right, but ofc it's all estimates. They seemed to have approached this update fairly logically and methodically, not rushing in just after an soe maintenance makes good sense. I;m feeling optimistic personally, and am expecting an earlier or at least on time reboot. Here's hoping ;)

Now I'm afraid you obviously missed something old chum...

Are you really complaining because they decided to treat us to an earlier downtime and hopefully more time with the DLC?

I really cannot tell if you're being serious right now... If you weren't in game when the servers went down then I don't see your problem. If you were then you would have seen the broadcast messages...

I guess that's what ya get for living on the other side of the world to the creators of your favorite game.:(

And I pay my phone bill to make calls. But I'm not going to cry about it if they have line interruption. Yes okay maybe Bioware do have that capability, but you really don't get the points of the downtimes in the past few days. Today will be my first day playing in months and even I know what's going on. Yesterday was their entire company system, so they can provide better help whilst covering for those at SOE live next week, and today is for the game. They explained this yesterday/today.

Yh I'm in Australia and I often wonder how much impact the distance plays in the reaction I make and the effects in game. I have noticed from time to time heals that I've triggered well before the health bars have dropped out register a few seconds late, but not as much on PS4. PvP seems to be the biggest disadvantage. It's hard to know how much of it's the distance or me sucking XD

    That's a really bad comparison:
    1. An unannounced line interruption in your phone could interfere with any call for emergency, or local emergency services - endangering lives. Thus, an unannounced line interruption could be a violation of FCC and or State/Local laws and regulations.
    2. A game service contract isn't regulated by a government authority, and is considered recreational.

Well during this downtime, if you have nothing else to do, might I suggest actually reading the "terms of service" you signed to be able to play the game. In part it states, they are not responsible for downtimes, bugs, in-game issues, etc. They have the right to do as they please with the game, we have the right to pay and play. If you don't like the downtime, tough. There is this thing called, "outside." We've all heard of it, go give it a try for a couple hours and quit complaining about not being in front of your computer.
Mepps, just keep us posted if there are changes to the downtime schedule so DCUO nerds across the globe don't have a total meltdown... ;)

Does the size of the update truly matter? You're going to download the update. Cant wait for the new raids!

You took the wrong points away. End of the day. You agree to terms and conditions which reference it, therefore expected as with everything that has maintenance.

If your going to rant about the downtime the last 2 days make sure you have your facts straight. Soe and DCUO are 2 different entities. SOE was doing updates yesterday today is the DCUO update. You claim its all DCuo's doing when its 2 different companies.

6-8 hours downtime hmmmmmmm. Guess i shall take my long awaited nap
