Same here. But then, I haven't spent as much time on the game as I used to. In fact, I haven't even been doing the seasonals every day, this month.
I've been running them daily on 8 toons. I don't recall seeing a single AFK player. In fact, I don't remember seeing any since St. Valentines seasonal. Maybe slacking is not a EU phenomenon. Americans - raise your kids better...
If I run with 2 I'm generally still grabbing the majority of cogs and top DPS....I've been the top 2 spots before even...which says alot about the other 2 people in there. I've never run random runs with multiples where one is just 'standing there' out at spawn or by the door. But generally If I run with multiples, it's 4 toons. With queue in and cutscenes a single run that takes 4x as long is still faster in the long run than 4 runs at high speed and it has 0 impact on anyone else's run.
I burn out on these back to back seasonals. I'm honestly annoyed with the Homecoming event as we used to get a few month break between now and Halloween....so much for that.
I don't play as much now as I had in past years so I haven't ran any seasonal this year. I'm trying to expend all my seasonal currency here on out for anything feat related and switch to a need to run basis.
Yeah, spring and summer this year will be the first seasonals I didn't hit the end with enough currency to do next year's feats. I generally tried to stock up for 'next year' in case for some reason I wasn't able to run much then. This year, I might not even get this year's feats done. Just not running it every day, much less on alts.
I figured some would be trying for a feat. I actually help out when other players have requests but not everyone will. I won't default to trying for feats with an in duty queue. Easier to shout for a few minutes to get a team together.
gotta say, I've not run into this at all this time 'round. I know it goes on, in the past I've had more than enough of me fair share of loafers, but this year 'round I've not seen it. every time I've gone in this year, it's been in & out in moments. mind you, I've not been running it a great deal. two, three days max across me 16 toons & I was done with everything I needed. so, you know, I might be talking bollocks.
I had a really good group this morning. It was a mixture of heroes and villains. Everyone did what needed to be done and we worked as a team. I have been in instances where there will be a player just loitering in a corner or worse standing outside of the instance entry way refusing to enter. It isn’t worth it to kick these individuals and I believe they know it.
I find that if you have alts set up to farm, then you will unlikely fall behind. Look for the one with most value and efficient to complete instead of trying to complete all the missions. If I needed marks for the summer seasonal, I would just run the event and skip out on the vaults (I find them tedious) and open world missions. You'd be surprised how much you accumulate near the end of the event without burning out.
Full Net takes 8-10mins before adds stop spawning. If you need it: you form a group. Don't expect people in blind q to want to spend that long in a 1-2min run. 3mins if I'm on a bottom tier Alt and the only one doing damage.
I'm a big believer in alt farming, but seriously... I've had a hard time stomaching even 1 run this year. I'm pretty much just doing the boats, and have been in the inside maybe 3x total, one of which was a group of 4 'me's. Same with spring, I generally just did the outside plants and skipped the instance. I think its the cutscenes over and over and over. I've watched them 100's of times at this point. I've hit my limit. Vault I've run some, but really only because you get 1 mark, 1 catalyst and 1 salvage piece guaranteed. I generally just toss everything else as most has no value....and I can mute the Joker if I want. If his bit was a cutscene...I'd probably bail out of that too.
It depends on the feat. Technically I try and help on a feat every time I queue in (which admittedly, is only a few times this year)....the speed feat. The 'full net' should be a made group. It takes way too long to expect in a random group just trying to get things done. The good news is if you can 'battle' role the fight, you only need access and can solo it as long as it takes. Since they made the cogs just 'touch and go' vs a full turn on them, this seasonal is heckin easier to solo. When the cogs were a full turn, it was a lot harder as they'd time out by the time you'd get to the 3rd one sometimes.
Perhaps you're running too many alts. I just assign my alts different duties. If the feat required 10 base items, then I send 10 alts out and they are each responsible for donating 1 base item to my main. Then I have 2-3 toons slowly chip away at the 50 and 100 marks items. I don't like running on the boats cause there are more area to cover. Some are glitched and doesn't spawn adds whereas the instance is 1-2 min and I don't have to travel.
Gotta say I haven't run into alot of afk players. but those that ignore mechanics? Almost every other run. As 4 feat i have never tried for a feat in a random q. Always with a league run not pug
Yes...I know how to alt farm. I'm saying. I run it 1 time and I'm done for the evening...maybe the week. I've only run the inside a few times this year and only on 3 or 4 toons because of the 50 mark items. The boats maybe 2x as many passes. I can't stomach queueing up another time. I'll likely finish by just doing boats another dozen or so times...whatever it takes to get the 50 marks stuff. I literally HATE this seasonal....I just hate the boats a little less, as far as covering the area vs queueing up, I'd rather spend the time using 'warp to' than to watch the cutscenes even 1 more time. They are 1 min of a 2-3 min run and annoying AF (although truth be told I've always hated anything to do with aquaman/ocean master). I pretty much hate all the seasonals at this point....the only one I don't really mind is St.Pats and that's because it's all outside and it's very short. The anniversary raid (SFF) is tolerable, probably only because it's a 1 time a week (per alt) thing AND it pays off enough to make it worth running. I don't run the daily stuff there either, and the rest of the seasonals are ALL daily stuff. In the end, I'll get all the summer stuff done. And yeah...if I end up with only a few days left, I'll break out the alt army and endure it as I don't want the feats undone for a year. I have enough alts to do all the base items in 1 day...that day would just suck and I'll want to turn the game off for a week after. I'm trying to avoid that level of disgust with the game.
The problem with this seasonal is that the drops are lesser in Vault compared to Spring or others. I get one or two base items max. And unlike other seasonals, this one has the 25 point base items (from 2019 onwards) and the number of base items you need for feat is not 10 as usual but goes to 15. So if you need to use replays, you end up spending 3 replays on the feats. So you'd rather use base items instead and to use base items, you need them to drop which is difficult. 2014-2018 are all individual base item feats so once you have it, it becomes useless. So if you get the same again and again, all you do is pass it to alt. But you know you won't have the full set anyway so they are wasted. This year has been me catching up on all my seasonal feats on my main since 2013. Mostly I have completed all of them so far (except for Anniversary). Even got the 25+ feats on all my alts as well. This seasonal I may fall short on completing it fully. Don't understand why we get so much crap with collections that have no use in feats instead of base items that are useful for feat.
Funny, last night I did the alert, and we burned so fast we never got to do any of the mechanics except the last one. It felt weird.
