I fail to understand the thought process behind creating a new gear mod that costs actual money... I get that you guys need revenue, but players also want something of value in return for the money. Requiring actual money for something that is going to have such a limited use with how often we have to switch gear is asinine. From a casual player's perspective, you are out of your mind if you think I'm going to spend money on this. But, I suppose it does fit in with the whole "Season's Greedings" thing. Congrats on that, I guess?
What’s funny is this is the only Seasonal you really need all 4 group members participating. When Larfleeze goes in his shield you to take a corner and wait for the Orange construct to come out kill it and get the shield down. If all four group members do that great if not you gotta run around and grab the construct you will invariably miss wasting more time. Gotta love the mechanics on this and the randoms you run with.
It just implies that any “improvements” they make on this game from now on will have price tags attached and that’s in addition to paid memberships, marketplace purchases and time capsules so they’re adding revenue on top of revenue to updates for the games benefits. We already pay for Capsules, Artifacts and Allies and cosmetics if we choose but now systems in the actual gameplay like mods we need to pay extra for what? Like this should’ve been an Quality of Life update not something you can microtransaction monetize on. It’s like they don’t know their players or their own game at this point?
Never thought I'd see the day that Tactical Mods got an update... in literally the worst way possible. Major step back. - One of the most basic things (that're basically free) in game being sold as P2W. - Only sold in marketplace in packs of 5 (enough for 2.5 toons as each role takes 1) - Doesn't require mainframe (literally means nothing to anyone as everyone already has mainframe for source marks) - Single use (so have to buy new ones for every toon & every gear piece & each role & replace every episode) - crazy. Why must this simple QoL update be monetized? Are any of the other tac mods updated? like the Legs need proper scaling. These should simply be sold for source marks in game. Next thing you know they'll be charging 10k MC for a working VC since that'd be a major QoL improvement at this point lol
For my self there's only two mods I need. It would last 6 months cuz dcuo is extremely slow to release a new episode. Your statement would make sense if they started to release monthly episode. but they release an episode every 6 months which is extremely soft. I would worry about those mods costing you alot you'll get 4 to 6 months out of them before the need to get more comes around
It's monetized because DC Universe Online has a little revamp called stat tax revamp designed to monetize progression. You should understand that stat revamp is the issue with the game. The contract for stat revamp was signed for a 10 year stat tax revamp to bring new progression systems to dcuo and keep it going for 10 years. You have a few years left to deal with it for now the new team can and most likely will relaunch the leveling systems since they can't do a revamp yet the deal was 10-years of stat revamp
Like others have said, current mods are free and only require in game currency to maintain. I could see it if these were placed in the generator itself and didn't need replaced at all, let alone every 6 months at best, because even that's too much. It's still real world currency for an item that's meant to be temporary and likely providing a minimal boost. It's insane to try and justify it.
Of all the posts that make no sense... this is definitely up there. Why, in the world, would the company need an internal contract for a game update? You just keep making stuff up and declaring it as fact like you were part of the team. Nobody believes a word you say when you start talking like this.
There is two more years left of monetizing the game the last CEO signed the contract but left early he jumped ship. There is nothing the new team can do. but they can relaunch the leveling systems in the meantime. stats revamp lasts two more years, that revamp contract ends in 2027 at the end of 2027. Which means the new team can get started on a new revamp right now and have it released at the end of 2027
Oh joy an update on the Christmas vendor and another forced monetization scheme. Never something useful for the costumers/players I'm starting to miss Mepps at least he would know how to properly put images in these pages.
Do you have any proof that any of this is true, or are you just pulling information out of thin air again? You fail to provide proof every time you make these outlandish claims.
The evidence is in the pudding take a look at the population take a look at all the episodes and the zones they're completely dead. PVP is completely dead all of this makes your game extremely unattractive to new players retention. Dead zones mean your Game needs a relaunch of the leveling systems. You would be an absolute failure of a development team if you do not relaunch your leveling systems. You would also be an absolute failure of a development team if you have no plans to revamp the game after the old revamp contract is over. My proof is it's a whole new team and if you take a look at what that does in the past it always brings big changes to the game including a revamp
