Scorecard Chasers

I'm really getting sick and tired of EVERY group I get into for Spindrift Station raid, they are more interested in DPS numbers than getting the bombs. I've done the mission over a hundred times on my various toons and absolutely every single one of them, have to suffer 2 or 3 wipes b/c people are focused more and they scorecard numbers than completing the actually mission.

It should be common knowledge by now, THERE ARE RED WORDS THAT APPEAR ON THE SCREEN 2 SECONDS BEFORE THE BOMBS APPEAR (I've timed it). And then it takes another 1-2 seconds before the bombs can be interacted with. THERE IS TIME!!!!

The support roles are responsible for getting the bombs or the lowest dps falling that.

I know what you're saying though.

But...there so much better than us...look at those NUMBERS!!!???

Actually, everyone has to get the bombs, if only the 2 supports (tanks can't cause they have to keep manta busy), thats not enough and everyone dies. If 4 people get bombs, people loose half or more of their health depending on they health pools. So more people get them, less chance of people dying.

Had a PS4 player accuse my PC friend of using a trainer because he did 9 million damage in 20 minutes for The Threat Below (event version). My friend was buffed to 218 and the PS4 player was 234 and did half that amount of damage. Isn't 20 minutes a rather long run for the event version? Seems like I've gotten through it in under 15 minutes a few times.

Gotta love the accusations that fly from scorecard chasers, too.

I've done 10mil in 25 minute run of TTB. He's 235 with 324 SP and water dps.

Tell them that disarming the bombs grants 500k damage out, each.

They are really smart when they need to farm more damage, just dumb when it's about mechanics to help the team, they wont buy that.

Agreed. When I play damage, which is rare, I'm usually top damage even while picking people up, doing the objectives (gasp!), and managing my own power. If I'm not top damage, hats off to the person(s) who beat me. The team's success is more important than my own. I only compete as a damage player because that's the goal of being good at the role. That goal is still secondary to everything else that helps the group, which includes stopping to diffuse the bombs in the raid.

No, I can still get the bombs, and top the DPS charts. I actually usually get 2 bombs before they blow and still get my DPS in.
