I think I covered what i think might be the meaning of the word hyperbole a few posts above yours... but I doubt if you read it so yeh, I think people use that to indicate that there may be too much of something happening in the game. How amazing it is when people do so is clearly an individual thing lol..

Heh, that was a good laugh. What did i tell you about your theme? I described my theme and the theme of another toon I saw, please show the quote of me describing Gunny's toon immediately good sir...

my request was directed toward the devs.

By your last statement, I believe that you are oblivious to the fact that the OP was more about asking for Swarm as an option to RS for the reason that RS is slowly becoming one of the few alternatives outside of the allowable WM powers than about who carries what.

The reason RS is becoming one of the few alternatives is the issue, and obviously not players or any choices they make, but that is obvious to anyone who actually took the time to read and understand the op for what it is, not what they would like it to be.

Show me the proof of me telling you what Gunny's theme is. Show me that the OP was something other than asking for powers like Swarm to be usable for the reasons outlined.

Which will result in the great pet uprising of 2015 that will be the demise of the Watch Tower and Hall of Doom. Ultimately placing all our characters consciousnesses directly into the game, so they can live off our energy.

All the while we are playing DCUO and typing on a forum, thinking we are real.

    What?

I don’t think the pets cancel WM crit bonuses should be changed but I do agree that the Robot Sidekick, as well as some other Iconic powers, should adjusted to be more in tune with our character’s powers.

Sure, powers like Heat Vision, Neo-Venom Boost, Word of Power, etc. should remain the same but powers like Robot Sidekick, Gag Glove and Clown Box can be adjusted to keep in theme with our powers.

For Robot Sidekick, you could have the following:
Flaming RS (Fire), Ice Armored RS (Ice), Astral RS (Mental), Mossy RS (Nature), Magical RS (Sorcery), Regular RS (Gadgets), Construct RS (Light/Rage), Sparking RS (Electricity), Phased RS (Quantum), Rock Armored RS (Earth), and Universal RS (Celestial)

The same thing goes for Gag Glove and Clown Box where these Iconic powers reflect the power of the character while still staying somewhat in tune with the Iconic character they are based off.

In the end, I think this would be an easier and more realistic way for us to get RS to fit our characters than changing pet mechanics.

DPS's that lose to other DPS's are always worrying about what the Top DPS is doing. It's just something they do. They try to figure out what you're using and then go do it themselves or come here and call for a nerf on it. Sometimes they send you a subtle "What load out are you using?" tell. In the cases when I've been bested by another DPS, I don't try to look for ways to duplicate their style or bring them down, I see it as an opportunity to better my own style or even explore new ideas.

Wow, good stuff dude. Couldn't agree more.

Agreed. It gets hectic out there and its hard out here for a dips. Lol I personally hardly ever get out dps'ed but when I do i'm like /salute and keep it moving... never desperately needed to be top dps every single time, 80 to 90 percent of the time and I know I'm good. Everything else is just details.

Its because of how WM restricts you.

Because of the increased length of the combos, to get max DPS, people have to shorten their rotations. For example, as mental, I will only be using 4 moves at any given time, which leaves me 2 empty spots essentially. The only reason I use that many is because I have several DOTs in my loadout for bosses (Mass Terror, Thought Bubble and Pyrokinesis) and I try to keep them running while mixing them with a burst power (either Cryokinesis or Phantom Flames). Other powers are usually only using 2 or 3 moves at any given time.

Robot sidekick is a candidate to throw into one of your "free" spots moreso than other moves, because you only need to cast it once and it will stay up for as long as it still has health. Supercharges are also making a little resurgence here for the same reasons and because youre able to use more of them because we're using weapon attacks more.

This is one of the major reasons combat has gotten so boring. Our rotations are becoming very dumbed down and we're throwing in stupid little things like robot sidekick and supercharges. We need an alternative to weapon mastery.

When you only need two powers on your loadout thanks to WM, you got plenty of room for robot sidekick. I was about to buy an armorie prior to gu 36, but now one loadout fits all

Oh my God, I want this one! Make it happen Devs! :D :D :D

We could be constantly trolled on all 4 servers at the same time! Mepps can get a spytle cat he can scratch the neck of while saying "good good" and "curse you devs!" while shaking his fist when his spawned adds get bested by the players! So much win!

It's ridiculous that swarm will cancel the wm crit. I agree with every point you made about it.

My Rage char literally has nothing else worth using in the robot slot, and if I wanted to replace it, I wouldnt be able to spec into one of the other things thats taking a loadout spot. See the point? Some powersets are limited in versatility...Rage at range is one of them. Other powersets like Quantum are extremely cookie cutter also, but their cookie-cutterness takes all 6 spots in the loadout.

HL loadout used to be like current Rages, except it was actually versitale because of how the combos work, so it could use the robot with no problems.

That said, I barely see that robot.

So true. I mean, at the very very least, let me use one other power from my own powerset that is unrelated to WM before the restrictions kick in. Negating my crit bonuses in exchange for one single solitary dot that does way way less damage than those bonuses give is sort of silly.

If that one dot did the same damage as WM bonus did, then they would have every reason to disallow it in the interest of keeping the damage "cap" at a certain level. But it's nothing more than a supplementary dot. With powers like nature's 45 percent prec buff getting nerfed, I see no reason why Swarm for instance can't be reincluded in the allowable "extra" powers available for me to use in my loadout, otherwise, im looking at either RS or a few less favorable choices for my WM loadout...

Even though I will never be a fan of nerfing WM damage or pretty much nerfing anything at all, facts are facts, and WM is becoming way too restrictive to be as enjoyable as it could be if they would simply consider allowing more of each powerset's powers to not negate its might buff effect. So instead of nerfing everything, why not simply allow more might powers from our powersets to supplement the damage instead of having to rely on some janky iconic tree alternative..

I don't see a problem with people using RS I mean that their toon and their loadout so is none of my business

Robot sidekick is useful because he does more damage than most dots, that's why people use him.

It's an optional inclusion like 90% of the powers in this game. I really don't see the point in this thread
