Self-Destructing or having robot sidekick die triggers the cooldown before it can be re-summoned. During this cooldown, if the player changes phases or dies and respawns, the robot sidekick has a chance to bug out and self-destruct multiple times. Even when it doesn't, it may bug out visually and not be able to be cast until the internal cooldown before phasing/dying is up (the visual cooldown shown seems to change but not be accurate). Another way of replicating this, though not consistently, is to summon turret to self-destruct robot sidekick and then despawning the turret. While both are on cooldown, dying or phasing will change their visual cooldown. Summoning the turret and then the robot sidekick after will sometimes cause the robot sidekick to start self-destructing. This may take 1-2 tries of summoning turret and then the robot to trigger it. Doomed Metropolis dying and respawning seemed to be the most consistent way to trigger this to happen.
