Ridiculous crafting system.

And then you have people who are max CR in a week and aren't subbed for 2 months.

Its not that easy. What you guys did was to restrict players abillity to progress at their own pace by putting out a complete 3 month cycle (former DLCs) in monthly portions. Therefore I have to beat the crap out of the very same instance for a whole month instead of just advancing (naturally) until you put out the next one. "Progression" under your current system hardly takes place in the presence (current month) and is basically relevant for the next EP only. Current EP as an example: Started out at 160 CR ran the Duo got a weapon-box. Bought 2 rings with my capped marks -> 162 CR. At that very moment I was pretty much done with "progressing" tbh bc the Raid is easily beatable at that CR (and lower). Everything from there on has been targeted towards the next EP already and therefore doesnt really feel like progressing. For me thats the major difference between former 3-month-cycles and what we have now.
I beat the raid to beat the same raid again... when I actually need that gear/CR it will be next month already and the cycle starts again.

The concept isn't "lost on us." As someone pointed out, we just don't like it. Just crafting the mandatory items (for both roles) on ONLY your main character costs 3400 scraps and numerous marks. I get that it's spread out over 6-8 weeks but getting only the minimum scraps typically from the instances I run is very disheartening when it feels like I will never have enough scraps. As I said before, I loved the concept of it but in practice, I have neither the time, nor patience to farm for scrapsfrom every single instance. Not to mention, it seems like you're assuming we only ever choose gear drops when your creative team has taken the time to make such nice base items, so now I have to choose between some really cool items and creating mandatory pieces. I hate this choice. If even the scraps yields were increased it might make this system worthwhile. I dunno, I have just more or less given up on this system.

    I play everyday.

I just now got enough metalloid scraps to craft ONE ring. Just one. Getting enough for one ring took me 6 months. From the start of ep 17 to the verry beginning of ep 23 to finally get enough to craft 1 ring. Guess what? I can buy a 144 ring from the vendor now completely rendering my scraps that took 6 months to collect, completely useless.

do you think it is possible that we will go back to the 3monthly or the regular monthly? o_O

Plus, why would you run every instance every day? The solos and duos don't reward me with anything of value besides those scraps and for the most part, each piece of gear only rewards 2. I'm trying to accumulate 3400 scraps for the pieces I'm forced to craft, maybe more if I'm extremely unlucky and I don't get a particular piece of gear I need. Not to mention, the difference between the crafted piece and the vendor piece is incredibly minimal. So not only am I spending weeks running content that means absolutely nothing to me, but when I do finally scrounge together enough scraps by ignoring all the marks and base items thrown my way, the stat difference between the gear pieces is too small to even really notice.

The system is absolutely not lost on us, it's just not a good system.

Please put best gear in vendor and return 3 month cycle. I don't have time for my alts. I have a job and family. I pay a sub and starting to give up on this game. It's a empty shell of what it was/ can be.

but then wouldnt you just burn through the content in one day and be back here yelling that there is nothing to do for three months?

I agree with best in vendor but not a return to the quarterly cycle.

Our current monthly cycle just needs more content and more content variation.

Put the best gear in the vendor and BOOM problem solved. None of this crafting stuff even has to exist. Its been done in the past I don't see why it doesn't just stay that way.

What you have done mepps is the equivalent of us going from taking pride in our work in the game crashing our paycheck ( marks) and choosing our gear (pride) for our accomplishments. To living with mom and dad Earning a allowance for chores...

So many of us have told them we dont like this system. If u want to craft a piece u cant get then u are not crafting rings/face unless u reset. And rings/face from vendor allows u to get to max cr and only give a bump of 8 precision and 21 might if u craft all 3. So those small stats are meaningless. Even when stats matter they wont do anything. The whole system is nonsensical. Im sure others in the thread have stated this, i only read the op. The idea posted on here by a player where we get scraps and marks from content, buy vendor gear with marks then use scraps to upgrade that gear was the original idea. Also there was no RNG with scraps. That idea was great. No idea why they changed it to what it is.

What effort is there in spending $ on replays and steamrolling an easy raid? Im responding to his quote btw. All i can think when i read his statement is the word disconnect. Effort would be running multiple instances (grinding) for marks and scraps and using those marks to buy vendor gear and scraps to upgrade the gear. Thats time/effort being rewarded. RNG does not factor in time or effort ever.

If crafting was really a solution to the no drop situation then it would be on equal terms with the drop system. You should be able to craft all of the pieces from an episode in 8 weeks. Then if you can't get the drops then you can craft as an alternative. The way it is now is just a joke.

Elite legs won't drop for my tank so I only get to run every other week for them and even if I get them now they will be obsolete so what the point.

Troll Doesn't get drops either and is missing 3 pieces from PBR on the DPS side so no point in getting and modding them now

The other 3 toons are in the same boat now the PBR is nearing being obsolete the items that haven't dropped are worthless since they will be obsolete soon. I don't even want them now to mod because that would just be a waste of a good recovery kit in a few weeks.

It would also help if you guys would stop turning down the drop rate. Put it back to where it was during DP.

Ikr plus if u craft that stuff u are not crafting anything else during the 3 month cycle unless u reset. And the best rings/face being craftable only? Idk who thought of that but not a good idea at all. Ive said it before, the whole system does not make sense when u really look/think about it. And the RNG with scraps is.....i wont say what i really think. But im guessing if they thought min/max people were going to be resetting for scraps id assume thats been a fail. Yea sure some probably do it. But im guessing the # of people doing it is very low.

Scraps being account bound solves nothing. Most end game players play multiple toons and multiple roles. If i pass all my scraps to my main(troll/dps) then i have no scraps for my tank, heal, and dps toons.

Why not just drastically lower the number of scraps required?
