    Dear Devs,
Let Thanos bring balance to the economy. Give everyone’s in-game money “The Snap”. It would be fun to start from 0 again. It would make playing old content fun to hunt for rare styles.

This is old news. Up till yesterday there were still single Nth Metal detectors in there for a billion. no one in their right mind who was NOT a exploiter would buy a 1 billion dollar item that you could get for 25 cents in the MP or loyalty vendor. I didn't check yesterday and the broker is now closed, but I'd guess there were still a few.

Yes, a wipe would 'fix' the overloaded economy, but as there are several people who are still hoarding most of the expensive items...some of which are on a 14 day unpaid vacation now.... things will just resume as normal with a few less 00s on the end of the listings. Meanwhile the honest player is also wiped.

BTW..I'm not saying that eventually this might be the only fix available and we'll have to live with it, but give it a few days for them to work on what they are working on. Guess what....you don't need to complete the collection on the first day....let them slide for now and buy later at the cheaper rate they always end up at. I've got 2 inventories full of this year's Halloween collections and yeah...I bought some of them during the first week at 100's of 1000's of dollars(pre glitch money) each cause I 'needed' them right away. I didn't really 'need' them after all and got them in drops many times over.

There needs to be a cash wipe because there was more than a couple exploits happening. There were at least two cash exploits and one TC exploit that I found. I only reported two because I figured that they found the other one.

I strongly agree that high prices on the broker by creepy people is a frustrating issue, either I believe that people's freedom shouldn't be foreclosed, neither in real life nor a game.
Better thoughts and friendly ideas are always more satisfying and welcomed than forces like communism.
And also I find myself responsible to explain that if some people sell items with very high prices such as 999mil, and some others buy those expensive items, those who buy them are very very more mindless. No one is forced to buy things with those high prices if they can work patiently to farm them.

Sure they would. In other games, I've sold stuff on the broker for 10-20x what they cost from the in-game vendor. (Now this was stuff that you could buy for 100 credits, and sell for 2000+, not millions or billions, but the principle's there. The items also dropped in game, so unless you went nuts, you didn't even have to buy them.)
  6. Reinheld Devil's Advocate

Sorry...I forgot to mention that there were also dozens at WAY less...like 12 million each at the same time and at shorter listing times, meaning the less expensive item was up first and someone OVER-cut them by 1000x. Would you sell things for 20x while the same items were already listed at 2x as well? If so, someone needs a lesson in economics.

BTW...I'm not talking about buying something for one currency and selling for another. That's fine. I'll often buy the seasonal 100 mark collection piece for many millions of in game dollars...I'd rather spend 10-15 million vs running another 10 days on a single toon to get the collection done too....that math works even without glitched money.

Resetting the Cash Again also just isn't enough. You mean to tell me in your OP, that the developers already have done a cash reset right? This crap is ridiculous I agree 100%, but a Full on Reset needs to involve some additional steps to prevent this absurd amount of inflation from ever taking place again.
Yet here we are with the Broker having really crappy inflation rates all across the board and cheese ways to get money, so If they do another Reset, it won't be enough.

So I'm going to say it:
Place a Maximum Cap on Unlimited Cash in DCUO. 1B should Max your in-game wallet out, period. It shouldn't go any higher than that.

If you have money that's above the 1B Cap in the game, it should go to your in-game bank and the in-game bank should have a transfer and withdrawal function.

In my eyes, this still keeps the perk of Unlimited Cash in DCUO Alive and Well; but it places a check on how much you can hoard onto at a given time.

There also needs to be a higher price cost for placing items on the broker that are around 999Mill. Items like that have no purpose being there, and shouldn't exist at all. The broker's tax like value should be raised to discourage prices like this from ever existing, and it fails miserably at that.

Can you guys pray with me for these banned/suspended accounts over this glitch?

Before we go ahead with this prayer for them, lets get something straight......can yall stop denying the fact yall glitched or took advantage over it? yall crying like someone slept with the wife yall been married to all ur life when it really aint that ser....ahhh haha maybe it is but its ur fault tho? yall were greedy n now the devs fed yall sumn to get constipated so yall wanna trip n confess NOW huh o_O . Oh well too late tho, maybe yall shouldve stayed broke instead but anyway i guess some of u will prolly enjoy the vacation since all yall do is just stay/staring at broker like a job looking for mistakes to happen or rip ppl off as a hobby. Like Mepps said, pm him if u felt some typa way...might wanna pay a lil sum on one of those top 10 story writing websites to get a well convincing apology letter. Alright as promised, here's the prayer:
Dear father, i come humbly before u asking u to negotiate with the developers and GM's to unban me or lift our suspensions so that we can try not to glitch or take advantage of these ignorant noobs for the 3rd time if possible. I give u my heart in faith u can make my account merry again...im hoping for when i return from my suspension that my account will still have all my priceless jewelery n dirty money. father, u created me, u know the number of hairs on my head, u know how many people we sca...*cough*..you've told us to come to u and ask for every need of life and now that ours have been jeopardized by flaming ban hammers forged by the devil in hell fire..we now beg u to cleanse our dirty money and filthy greedy hearts, bless us with ur divine healing and restore our account to new so we can be born again. welp.

I guarantee that in any real world economy if someone was able to counterfeit money perfectly so you could not tell the difference between it and legit currency, the government would shut things down fast before the economy collapsed. A government backed economy is only as strong as the faith in the currency. If people can pump fake currency the trust in the economy will fail fast and would return to a barter system for gold and other hard goods....that's where we are at now in game. It's not communism, it's not capitalism, it's economics. Money is paper or worthless metal (or nowadays just 1s and 0s) backed by gold and faith...90% of the time it's way less gold than faith. With fake money in the mix you lose the faith.

    Impressive.
I must agree that if everyone offers the same range of fair price, everyone will be able to afford things the need.

So many players seem to be on board with a money wipe. I feel very strongly that this would ruin the game for me personally. Here is why. Tc have become a very major part of this game. Every time a tc is released the items offered are more expensive on the broker. With this tc release l spent hundreds with the idea of keeping one set of everything for myself and selling the rest. Selling the items l got from the tc in order to sell them for game currency was the only reason l spent hundreds. By wiping out my money they would be deleting what l spent my real world money on. So if they do wipe I’m either getting all my money back spent on the last tc or l would quit the game. Hopefully they come up with a better solution that does not further hurt the game.

That's actually a serious problem. While there are probably a lot of people who are billionaires in game who don't spend a lot of money on it, I'd be shocked if many of the people who regularly spend more than $50/month on stabilizers aren't millionaires. Penalizing whales is something that Daybreak probably doesn't want to do.

hmm good point but it has to happen, blame the glitchers. they sent $ to their alts or other players to hold for them etc. so a reset needs to happen.

I use to kinda do the same thing. Was buying nth metal detectors to sell to buy items I wanted/needed. Then I would buy more detectors to make money and sit on until something else came up I wanted/needed.

So I used to kinda think along the same lines. They wipe money, then I basically just donated real money to them since they wiped the in game cash I made. After I thought about it a bit, I was wrong. If you buy stabilizers, or nth metal detectors like in my case, to sell to make money then you are getting exactly what you paid real money for, but what you do with it after that, is totally up to you and at the mercy of whatever happens.

Now they shouldn't be able to take your item you may have gotten from opening a tc with that stabilizer, but technically they can take the money u made off of that item with the stabilizer you bought. Like I said, since I was buying nth metal detectors, I got exactly what I paid for, but I what I chose to do with it afterwards was up to me.

No, a money wipe does not need to happen except to the glitchers and their alts, and all items in their inventories need to be examined and randomly placed in the broker for legitimate sale. If you participated in those trades outside of the broker where someone sold you an item or two for more than the broker cap, chances are you are suspect and are in the middle of a 14-day suspension pending further investigation. This does not mean a perma-ban, but there could be other repercussions. If you did all your sales through the broker chances are that you're not going to be suspended.

I don't understand. Was this a Christmas collection you wanted to buy but felt it was overpriced or just couldn't afford it? I never buy stuff I feel is overpriced or I can't afford.
