Request To Devs: Put Super Speed change in WIP so everyone can share their opinion

    Are you serious right now ?
    There's many reasons people are SS:
    1) Because they based their toon on a superhero that use superspeed or a variant of it
    2) Because of speedrain granting pot + dot.
    3) And finally, because of the quick gameplay that SS can offer to the player.
    You should watch videos about how an acro & fly user can kite and take advantage of their movement mode even in a middle of a fight and under dots effect.
    I'm against nerfing flywheel, it was fine and would still get kills even with people kitting I remember running with a lasso on my loadout, it's part of strategy and no one has ever complained about it (No one but "YouKnowWho* Koff Koff :rolleyes:).

    Are YOU serious right now? I voted in favor of SS not getting a big nerf. Also, most pvpers on USPS follow the same pattern. CC hood, gadgeteer or Guy Gardner chest, and either kick me sign or doomsday back. None of those iconic people have anything at all to do with SS. As for kiting, in the same amount of time, acro people mostly kite up while SS players kite far away to where a ground affects them way less. And flight kiting is a joke. It is purely situational and just no.
    For the speed drain idea, you make a valid point. No arguments there
    Finally, as for a faster play style... What do you mean? You get on here and attack me for agreeing about SS not needing a big nerf, although you don't want one at all. I honestly wouldn't care if it didn't get touched, so why did you try defending something I agreed with you about? Back to my final point. What do you even mean about it being a faster play style? When talking competitive pvp, everyone can spawn right on top of the deathmatch area. What makes it a faster play style?

    The main issue with SS is that it let's you easily perform your role while kiting while covering significantly more distance than other movement modes. Having it function the same way that acro's double jump does, or at least more similarly is more than fair. Also adjusting dash attack so it is a regular tray ability is an excellent step towards balancing it as long as you make it function in the same way that backflip and swoop attack does.

    I had a long day, soz about it I thougt you wrote u was against.
    And of course superspeed grants more dynamic and aggresive gameplay because of flywheel compared to fly and acro, it's my pov about this. Instead of nerfing SS they should buff fly & acro imo.

    I've yet to see someone use backflip, swoop attack for kiting purposes in a 4s or 5s... heck not even in a 2s lol

    Its just gonna remove an aspect of competitive 4s and 5s strategy.. I personally don't really kite unless I need to, I counter loads and prefer to fight and deal as much damage as I can (as a troll).. It won't affect me that much, but I'm thinking bigger picture for 4s and 5s.

    Up until last week it was the first time I heard someone complain about it.. whats more ironic is that the main person complaining about it is not even a 5s player lol

    Just cause a lot of people are against something doesn't mean that they're correct, there's already plenty of examples in legends where the overwhelming majority of people were wrong. This "major" PvP community you're talking about also ridiculed me when I first stated that berserk was OP in 5s/4s when it first came out, yet everyone changed their minds down the road so just because "they" say this is wrong certainly isn't proof of anything.

    I've already provided plenty of reasons as to why SS is superior in its live state in comparison to the other movement modes, and flywheel did need a change. However I think dash should be made a normal power again to see how that works out through testing before implementing it, then if SS is still too weak it can be adjusted.

    Because that's not kiting. Those types of things are almost always used for escaping. However the fact is, SS doesn't have access to a regular tray ability for escaping.

    Adjusting IF so it functions like/similarly to acro's double jump isn't going to ruin the strategy. Right now it enables you to move about 3-4x the distance than any other movement mode can in that same amount of time.

    Whoever said Beserk wasn't OP was crazy... it was banned day 1 for us when rage went live cause it just one shotted a team

    Thing is, we want to avoid SS getting shafted that badly (anyone remember HL? :p )

    I completely agree with that. However in it's current state it is like the old HL. It simply put provides an unfair advantage when used most effectively when compared to other movement modes.

    Remember HL? It's probably one of the best powersets on test right now, I don't need to remember it!

    Buffing everything so it's out of hand out just make things worse. Balancing involves reaching a healthy middle ground. Though I know what you mean.

    To be honest, we all (on EUPS) banned bersek from our scrims when we understood that bersek was OP, so I don't think we're actually talking about the same community there, maybe you experienced that with USPS players.

    To all those wanting to comment,
    Balance is balance is not about what "wants"

    Try applying with speed, fly and accro what Clutchmeister stated
    so you can as well realize the differences
    and Then give a more rational feedback

    ...Broke it up in sentences so it could be an easier read but changed nothing

    Doesn't feel right? HL can so some of the most counter punishment on test combined with the fact they do the highest amount of safe DPS by a pretty huge margin, it's pretty fun to play too. Sure I miss the old JC days with HL but DPS wise I would say it needs an adjustment regarding one power.

    Balance is balance you're right. Removing flywheel completely isnt balance. Re ajust it sure but locking it out of combat isnt balance when flight can hover anywhere they like and acro gets a double jump and glide. Another thing regarding dash attack for anyone bothered. Dont you remember dash attack back in the day ? Give me a choice between flywheel or dash ill take dash tyvm and see how long everyone think that balances out. It was made a s.c for a reason but fire away
