Drops better gear than it's current tier?

CC vendor weapons are better than T3 (FOS3) weapons but, not by a super lot so what gives people the idea that DLC 8 will drop better gear than past Tier gear?

Did they confirm this dlc was T5 content? If so I must of missed it.

Hand of Fate. It's really the only precedent.

When Tier 4 came out, Tier 3 had only been out for around 6 months, so it was a much shorter gap between tiers. Hand of Fate gave people a small boost between tiers, roughly 6 months after Tier 4 came out, which there was a 14 month gap between Tier 4 and 5.

I figure now, DLC's that have more focus on content (rather than gimmicks, example Home Turf) will most likely have something that comes with small stat boosts, based on the fact that everyone needs to rush through everything as fast as possible so they can be the winner of the game. People simply wouldn't settle for something at the same level of the current tier anymore.

I must of missed it too (I don't recall it ever being mentioned), but going backwards would probably be a very bad decision on SOE's part. Yes, they'll be a gap in some Tiered content, but hopefully they plan on adding to the f2p game some more (I genuinely believe they will in time).

I seriously doubt the new alert or duos will drop anything better than the 86/87 gear from the T5 raids. I would expect them to have similar drops to the T5 ops and anomalies, respectively. I am hoping for some new holy/cursed styles, though.

Sorry, in my initial response I spoke more of a DLC dropping better stuff than alerts, my bad, I got carried away, lol.

Though, the Inner alert does have some better drops than the game at this point, right? More in terms of accessories (necks, utility belts) though.

Wayward you get 74 item level gear not 78 and definitely not anything higher.

Not that I have seen anything I guess most are assuming as I am, T3 do not need any duo's maybe a couple o for T4's but really T5 duo's are missing as well being most are close to being full T5 could be why they assume as much.

Technically T4 as a whole would be the precedent I think. Because HoF and Home Turf both gave higher drops than the initial T4 content.

The biggest thing about HoF was the guaranteed 131 DPS weapon drops from the Ops. The Codex gear was ok, but minimal stat boosts.

Because it doesn't always go like that, Wasn't T3 before lighting strikes T2.5? Could be wrong. I'm assume its T5 or maybe T5.1/2 but unless they confirm then who's to know. They might change up all completely, it could be a dlc that requires a cr of 53 or 70 or 80 who knows.

While this statement makes much sense.... you are assuming they DO want to move forward. Why would they? If they wanted to move forward they could have given us another raid or two and skipped the whole 'new zone' thing in favor of a few instances.

I haven't seen anyone say that the drops will be better than it's current tier. Do you have links? I guess this depends on what you consider the current tier? If you think it's 85 gear than yes, yes I do expect the new content to drop better gear.

I honestly feel like the alert will be T5 and the duos T4. It wouldn't be too outrageous for the duos to be a lower tier, considering they do want more people to actually get to T5. That being said, I hope they're T5. I'm really just excited for more duos. We haven't gotten one since Last Laugh.

The raids drop better gear cause what other better drop did Wayward have, I don't recall it ever dropping anything other than item level 74 armor, some dust and a chance at plans, everything else was in the raids.

Home Turf offered the 131 weapon, mods and better trinkets, but what gear was better than the 78 item level you could buy.

T4 Inner that was part of what DLC I forget?

T4 Inner isnt dlc, its f2p and it was part of an update.

I think the new drops will mainly just be for styles and not so much advancing your gear, but I could always be wrong.

im thinking they are holding off on t4 duos until they remake the mentor missions and then they will put them up in an update
