SO I always wondered, but when 8 player raids or any of those instances lets say for example Thyremcia when we all appear, are we playing with Villains and Hero mixed or is it strictly one faction Hero with Heros and Villians with Villains when someone decides to do lets say an 8 player raid.
Maybe we could have 4villians/4heroes in future raids. Basically you would q as you would an instance, but once you are there, you get combined with the opposite faction. ***waves at pro-balance players. At the end both factions fight over the last boss' loot. PVE meet PVP-----------Mechanics are kinda in PVE so why not go all out?
what exactly makes the villains "villains " in this though, on the whole we don't really do anything evil. We're all sidekicks
No one is really a side-kick, though. We're all sort of heroes in training, we only actually fight at our mentors' sides like twice, and at the end of it we end up on our own as full fledged members of the league. Villains get the same treatment on their end. The only power I see with this is the idea of fighting over loot. There are plenty of players who don't want to PvP and this would be something untouchable for them. If anything, I'd see it more as a race of some sort, where the groups have different things to accomplish at certain points of raid, working together during boss fights against a particular opponent, but separate in between. Give an extra Mark to the team that wins on the individual goals, and the losing team gets a small buff during their next portion to even out the odds of both teams getting extra Marks.
I definitely could see a problem with the pvp deathmatch scenario. But I love the race idea. Also splitting the hallways for that race would be a change of pace too! Not just talking burn-fest but actually stepping on pads to activate doors.... Four players turning switches in sync.....
U mean to tell me that PS3 means we can't do that stuff? Nothing really new to add, it's already in the game too .
Yuuuuuuuuuup That would be my suggestion over the pas 3 years haha Ever since Supergirl said, "Heroes and villains working together!?" in FoS2.
Not guaranteeing that is the reason, but that it will be parroted as the reason for any new ideas to be canned.
I have a question kinda related. When you pvp, can u play with opposite factions on your team? I havent played arenas in a while so idk
Well if it came to just the NPC's, why would they be plural? There's only one of the opposing faction at that point: Superman or Lex Luthor.
Honestly, I play on PC anyways, so what the PS3 is or is not capable of running is not in my knowledge. I would think that it would take a bit of code to put in a cross faction raid into the game that would essentially be operating on its own rules. Rules that no other content in the game would have. (Heck even cross faction chat is barely a thing)
A few reasons why that probably wouldn't be well received. 1. How many people fear to run without a full league run or atleast a full premade? Many won't trust four random people from what might not be a premade on the other side. 2. Kicking is pretty bad on people's own faction side. Why would anyone hesitant to kick someone from the other faction? People still tend to treat the other faction members pretty bad in arena matches. 3. Having a pvp end fight could really cause a lot of issues. PS4 users would have an edge on PS3 users. Freezing. One side pve gear could be much stronger then another side pve gear. One side may armory switch into their pvp gear while one side may not have pvp gear.
Yea I pretty much ruled out PVP match already, but for the other two, that is really left to opinion. Kicking isn't a global thing; not everyone does it. If people think foul play will help anything in a raid, then these people were doomed from the start. Working together with strangers can make a better breed of players overall
