Hey folks, I've never PVPed before so I have a quick question. Is PVP set by level or can anyone access the instances? For example, if I'm level 10 (on my alt toon) and I access the Australia 8vs8, which is unlocked at level 10, will I be facing players well into the endgame content or other players below 30? I really want to take up PVP, but I would hate to be losing all the time to players in full PVP gears and whatnot.
You "can" PVP at lvl 10, however tbh it is a much better idea to wait until you are level 30 to do regular arenas (using your character.) If you want to start PVPing while you level my suggestion is to do Legends. Gear, level, personal stats, etc don't matter in Legends and you'll start to earn PVP marks towards gear for when you are level 30. Don't worry about taking a long time to hit 30, if you do the Booster Gold quests, races and story archs you should hit it around time you receive the Bruno Manheim quests.
Thanks for the response. Yeah, I tried a Legend match and I won which was a awesome, then I tried an Arena match twice and lost both times to level 30 players. So, yeah, sticking to Legends. Haha. That was what I was worried about, having enough MoV before I reach level 30. I wanted to be prepared to buy my PVP T1 gear as soon as I hit 30, but it looks like a ton of work. I'd rather collect a bunch of marks while it's easier than try to earn them against players wearing T2+ gear.
The larger Arena matches such as Australia, Fortress, Watchtower, those are harder to win because there is a greater risk of queing with people who have no clue what to do. For those I recommend getting a group together yourself to run (if your in a league or have friends on here of course)....But you can go buy the first set of PVP armor with cash...you dn't need marks for that. Once you purchase that set, then the next will be available to you for Marks of Valor. Also a quick tip, you earn about 70 marks of valor for every ARENA match you win. For Legends you only get 2...
