Are these taking effect during the AM, or is the AM factoring in that scaled up damage by default? I'm messing around with dark pact, benediction/malediction, and i'm noticing that damage-wise, the buffs are providing only a miniscule boost in damage. This isn't factoring in startup time from the buffs, and is done with rotations starting with the 60% modifier already. The benefit would still be in buffiing allies, as well as any additional healing effects that could be gathered from corrupted bene', but otherwise, perhaps the power points can be spent on other things. Any info appreciated.
Benediction is a crt buff. Dark pact is a might buff. You don't see a bug difference because you miss anoint (prec buff). Maledicition has its buff on the combo and a damageloss then. (it is more of a healing power). The buffs i use: benedicition (no combo) and anoint
celestial might be the only power with 3 buffs.. they are all very useful when dpsing.. seeing as how celestial is a precision power you dont really need dark pact but if you do decide to use it it does help your might attacks out quite a bit.. i run all 3 myself
The best buff is Benediction, as it affects all the damage you do. Anoint is second, as the overwhelming majority of your AM damage is precision-based. Dark Pact is a very strong might buff, but it comes in third, due to the weakness of Celestial might damage. You can use all three, though you give up some loadout flexibility. Personally, I don't use Dark Pact.
Benediction and annoint. Hit annoint and clip with benediction then start your AM. Annoint buffs precision which further determines AM base damage for most attacks, while benediction is a crit buff which further determines the rate/amount of crits you will have. Dark Pact IMO is a waste since we only have 6 slots for powers, using dark pact is not as beneficial as adding another combo in that slot.
Got a few hours before i'm back home in front of the jumbotron9000. Yeah, I don't know why I wasn't paying attention. I glazed over dark pact's description as buffing powers and left it at that. Forgot there was a nonsensical split between might and precision buffs, when celes' might end is no bueno. That explains the 'barely anything at all' gains. Think I have to sacrifice a power point to get annoint though.
I've been running from left to right Anoit>Benediction>PcDl>ScH>RcW and Cursed Idol for my SC. Sometimes I'll start with RcW for a quick damage burst which does stun adds, followed by my rotation left to right, PcDl or DLcP is a longer running DoT if I'm not mistaken and is a big part of your damage (Heavy hitter). For melee ranged like the duos and solo I use the same but replace PcDL and ScH for CScWotP and WotPcCs which it's RIDICULOUS numbers. Hopefully this helps you out a bit
