You guys ever thought about expanding legendary, or breaking it into tiers? For example having a $5 version that only included all the episodes, a $10 version that includes all the episodes and the unlimited escrow, the regular $15 that includes those and the replays/station cash, and a $20 version that adds some bonus perk on top of what we already receive (like maybe a full stabilizer per run instead of 6 fragments or sumthn). Idk, just throwing around ideas because I know some people that are able to (like myself) would spend a little more if the perks were good, and those that have trouble affording the membership as is would have a little bit more flexibility.
I disagree almost completely. I'm already of the opinion that there shouldn't be a cash cap and so I disagree with including a variant of a subscription that keeps the cap. Not to mention this just sounds like paying a monthly fee just to be a premium player. I also disagree with encouraging people to pay more to participate in the lootboxes stuff. Instead, I would rather them add some of these styles to the marketplace so that members who get their monthly 500 marketplace cash can actually *use* the marketplace for something other than replay badges. I would much rather them just improve the so-called perks that people should be benefiting from the moment they subscribe. I.e spend less time on the (very) unpopular time capsules and spend more time on the promethium lockboxes. They call free access to them a "perk" yet there is nothing of value anymore. I don't care to have 100 repair bots or the same tired styles that have been here since 2012. Make the vault better too.
I was subbed for, shoot, like 9 years or something. Towards the end, I had subscriptions on 5 accounts, and was Premium on about a half dozen more. I recently dropped all subs and went full Premium. I just don't think the Legendary model is worth it. Yes, technically if you total up the contents, then they would be worth more than the $15. But the contents aren't necessarily what I as a player want. Instead, I felt obligated to subscribe AND spend additional money in the marketplace. Eventually, I started to work out the math in my head. "Instead of buying 5 Stabilizers, I can make a second account, make it Premium, and then get a bonus 8 Stabilizers every single month, just for doing a 2 minute login." "Why am I paying to rent DLC 9 years later, when I could have just dropped $10 and owned it forever?" "Why am I paying to rent extra character slots, when the Artifact system makes it pretty much impossible to make them endgame viable?" "Why do I care about the cash cap? Literally the cheapest thing on the broker that I need is over 200million." And the final straw... "Why am I paying for access to all content when three months out of the last six have been open Episodes, so I'm paying money for something they give everyone else for free?" So I dropped the subs and went full Premium. Now I spend less money, but by making a la carte purchases, I find that I am getting MORE of what I actually want. The Legendary sub needs to have it's value increased. There is a reason why the vast majority of players are Premium, and it's not because $.50 per day is too much. It's because Premium with Marketplace Transactions gives us more of what we really want than Legendary without Marketplace Transactions do.
Like it or hate it, the cash cap is here to stay. We’ve been arguing against it since legendary became a thing, it’s not going anywhere. The $5 version would be for those that want a cheaper alternative to have all the episodes, that’s it, it’s not that deep buddy. The notion that I could somehow “encourage” people to spend THEIR money is ridiculous. You’re being dramatic. If people wanna spend their money they’ll spend it how they choose, some random on the internet isnt gunna make someone drop money on TCs. Sounds like you just don’t think legendary is a good value as it is, which is fine, but you’re acting as if they couldn’t revamp legendary AND implement a tiered system. It isn’t mutually exclusive. You act as if I said “hey charge us more and don’t give us any new perks!” Noone’s gunna pay more unless the perks are good (as I said), and I only mentioned stabilizers because I know people at end game use them to get the feats (something getting a full stabilizer a day would speed up). I never once said I LIKE TCs dude, relax. If there’s nothing of value then don’t buy it bro, I didn’t start the thread to argue whether the benefits aren’t enough, I suggested a tiered system so people could afford it more easily and so those that have the funds could get a little more out the game. It’s not that serious. Also as far as your style ideas, meh. I personally don’t pay for a membership for cosmetic items but I can see why some people would like that I guess.
T Great points, I would be open to a complete overhaul to legendary as well tbh. I mostly have it for the cash cap and episodes but you make some valid points. It’s more of a QoL thing for me at this point.
I’ve said for a while they should add another tier on top that gives qwarks monthly in addition to the current replays and daybreak cash or loyalty points. It would be both additional revenue for them allowing either additional resources and/or more wiggle room for current and future prices and sales And also would make some of those 5K+ items on the qwark vendor actually attainable for those who don’t buy hundreds of time capsules. That’s what we in the biz call a win/win.
