Sounds like Arc Lightning. Did you have an Electricity healer (or, lord forbid, DPS) in your group? The user casts it on an enemy and a yellow blast goes from the user to the enemy, and then that chains from the enemy to nearby allies with a blue chain of electricity and heals any allies that it touches.
