To me, the developers should find a way to only allow marks to be given to players that "complete" a match. Those that don't have a "Link Dead" should not be awarded any marks if they leave the instance. I understand players want their rewards. However, what is the point for the developers to assign them to PVP if players can succeed at acquiring them without complete participation. The player that want to compete should always be within the right over the person that does not. So the idea that a players wrong for attacking a passive (includes running away while refusing to fight) player should be debunked. The passive player after-all is undermining the "point" of the match. This problem is not going to be solved through the player base. Many of them (maybe most) flat out, "don't care" ("to me, your only just "cause and effect" or sometimes "white noise" when you don't care)". The system is going to need to prevent players from not participating in matches. This also would allow for those that want to participation to stop wasting time exiting and re-entering matches to find someone that actually wants to compete. Bottom Line: As always, having a system that stores data on player habits would be helpful. Those that are leaving before a match ends too consistently should be matched with those that do the same. However and for now, the player that is trying to compete within the match should "never" be at risk for getting into trouble with the Devs. Notes: - To me, this problem is way too common to quit the match and re-queue (let alone hypocritical). - The add Ignore function is nothing to me anymore. It's much too overused to be much of an aid. - The "point" of the rules of a match should always take precedence over player desire. Scrimmage if you want to make your own rules.
It doesn't matter if you're using op characters or not. People are gonna quit if they're outmatched. I've had catwomen leave matches when I was friggin wondergirl...... Also, what is your plan for people that just fake play. They can keep going up to the node, attacking and using powers but not actually trying. The system is fine as it is.
- They can just be ignored. I don't believe that behavior is as severe as not participating at all. - If they quit, then no rewards.
Perhaps the developers should have restricted the feats points to only be used in PVP. Frankly, that is one way to resolve this issue. Perhaps they could make a series of feats that are used to replace what players would lose. Bottom Line: "PVE" should not be affecting "PVP", at all. Note: I'm assuming that most are collecting PVP feats for PVE.
i like how the system is, besides not everyone likes to do pvp but they are forced to because the need the feats, besides fighting makes earning marks take longer and i would rather put that time into other things in the game.
