Its beyond unbalanced How new players with T1 pvp gear and 30sp is supposed to take on higher players is beyond me. New players with limited knowledge on pvp and T1 gear at most times are up against T4+ gear T4+ sockets 80+ SP Home turf content (Sidekicks, etc) It just doesn't make sense and please do not tell me about "the matchmaking system will kick in after some loses" because it doesn't. Also resetting the tiers/ending the season wont help as it will only become unbalanced again within a week. The PVP on this game was epic but they have just done a madness and completely destroyed it. There needs to be a serious match making/ranked system implemented as soon as possible and im not talking about future DLC introducing ranks. Thats not helping the problem of random queuing. Players should only go up against people in their own Tier or 1 higher. Its as simple as that. Before anyone complains "Oh but queues will take so much longer to pop" There should be 2 queuing options , ranked and unranked. That way those that dont want to wait dont have to and thsoe that want to wait for a balanced match will do. PROBLEM SOLVED. Ill be over here waiting for someone to explain to me why this system cannot be implemented. Maybe it will help me stop putting my controller down every time a T5 player beats me or one of my team down. DISCLAIMER Im not some noob complaining just because i loose , i have T5 PVP gear and theres no challenge giving these T1 players 3 taps to go down. I WANT A PVP CHALLENGE! Im talking from both sides of the coin , where its too easy on my higher toons and too hard on my new ones.
Well, if no one but high level players are playing then I believe you may face them by default. That happens with matchmaking in any online environment.
I dunno how things are over on USPC, but in the USPS3 server competitive PvP is not in the arenas, its exclusively in scrimmages or at Fight Club. If you want competition, you wont find in the arenas.....
USPC is at a low currently for premading. Usually it is just 2-3 people queued up together and most players have already obtained their top tier gear. There has been a new group of PVPers coming in lately--which is great, but those players are winning some matches, increasing their ELO and then facing similar ELO players, but who have better gear. Regarding the OP idea--it won't work well because gearing is fairly quick and next season will be even faster because the devs have decided to just release one more set and not move the current stats down to match the lowest tier. My suggestion to the OP--gear up the first 1-2 tiers via Legends and/or group up with a few players. There is strength in numbers. Make friends and ask questions. It is how the rest of us got where we are currently.
Well SP are in the hands of the players and can be increased via PvE much more than in PvP, basically all the kids who think CR is everything will most likely suffer in PvP. Gear isn't that big an advantage and i have had no problems starting from scratch on my alt with 95SP. The same player with 30-60sp will probably get crushed in T1 & T4 gear, then I guess they will blame it on mods
Its people like the o.p. who ruin pvp and then players who actually put up with long grinds have to rekset every year just because you get a nerd rage everytine you loose. You think those people with top gear had it easy? I just started playing again and alrdy got t3 gear within a week, sure alot of dieing...some arenas id spend over 3hours to win one game....so now i have to loose those hours spent inmy life just because you want everything handed to you and cant even invest time in skillpoints?
I love when there are those who have mics and start badmouthing their own team members. I've gotten characters that are just able to play in some areas and enjoying what I can. The joy, though, goes when someone goes out of their way to belittle other players because their skill set might not be up to theirs or just because the team is losing. So we lose. You go back in and try again. And if you're frustrated by the mission then don't play it until you have what is needed to do it OR you calm down enough to realize that this is a game. As for who you gt for teammates, that's the luck of the draw when you queue up. On a side note, I do hate it when you've waited a hour to get queued into a mission then get kicked out of it because the others were waiting for a league member to appear instead of me. If anything there should be a queue set up for league raids/arenas and one for the non-league members so people who want in don't get kicked because of league elitism.
Do like the rest, rather than use cash pvp set, use your full t5 pve modded until you get atleast t3 pvp set, lower sets are not going to help you, if you don't have access to ht trinkets, is not the rest fault you are not supporting the game, support the game means get a single dlc every few months.
Nice to hear someone wanting a challenge in PVP, most people want to use their advantage and pretend they are elite. Sad fact is no matter how good you are at PVP in the situation like the OP described where you are a couple of tiers underneath your opponents you have very little chance of winning, particularly if you are a Controller.
