PS4 Freezing :(

At first I froze in the Hall of Doom. Then, I froze in a raid. I noticed both times I froze while trying to open something (inventory, etc.). I have never had my PS4 freeze before EVER so this is very strange. Problem with DC you think? Mass amount of people playing?

Usually a high population causes lag and delay. This will be a persistent issue until the PS3 is dropped from support.

I froze three times this week but never before this week. I'm not sure what's going on but I don't like it at all. One of those times I had to unplug my system. I was like this ain't PS3.

I wonder if the server merge will fix this or increase the magnitude of the problem? My guess is the later.

Have you tried heating it up or giving it a hug?

In all seriousness, see if it's other games as well. Is it making any weird sounds? Could be the fan not working properly.

I have noticed an increase in the times I have frozen over the past few weeks.

I've noticed this as well and I got my PS4 on release. Only recently have I been freezing and/or disconnecting but I've seen others reporting it now and then for quite some time. I think there's something to it though, because it's happened several times in the last few weeks and I can't remember it ever happening before that.

Like your whole PS4 froze and you had to unplug it or the application crashed? I know in the past few days the application crashed twice on me.

I've crashed once in the past few weeks, but freezing up hasn't been an issue.

Then explain why I only ever see PS4 players complaining about such issues? My laptop just froze, I guess that was PS3s fault too?

I remember not too long ago. PS4 could not play, yet PS3 players still could even with getting kicked out of PSN. Hmmmmm.

Saturday and friday. At least in Europe i were on dcuo eupc i have never seen so many ppl on that server since launch i checked their HomePage and Saw that every server was stated full or highly populated except eupc.

Yesterday a guy made a thread about chrashing from USpc which mighT be due to a lot of ppl logging on at the same time

I would say its due to ppl getting the feats from seasonal last minute lol

they already said PS3 will not be dropped so please stop with this half arsed assumptions

So they Will never drop the PS3?

That is NOT so good, goodbye new powers that isnt already in game and goodbye better graphics :-(

On my PS4 in the last few days I've seen

You are number 1 (or 2) in queue, queue time average is 0.02 and then it just sits there until I cancel out, requeue and go straight in.

If I log out and leave it at the character select screen then within a minute I start getting very regular disconnects then reconnects. Sometimes the disconnects happen less than 30 seconds after reconnecting.

Sometimes I still get loading screens of death which require quitting the game and restarting.

I'm legendary so was surprised to see the queues like that.

If you believe they will continue throw money into the PS3 pot even long after the shelf life is done, you are oblivious to how the business operates.

I had strange loading problems lately. It's almost like I'm on PS3 again...

Okay, so yesterday after I froze twice right after each other I stopped playing all day and turned off my PS4.

I log back in the game this morning, and freeze again. Thought the problem would be fixed for sure.

Guess I won't be able to complete my Saint Patrick's Day seasonal goals. I got all the feats, great. Wanted to get that new trinket though.

I doubt it's my PS4. Really, really doubt it. I'll try another game, even though DCUO is really the only game I play often lol. I mean my PS4 is quiet, and it only freezes when I get onto DCUO.
