Memory Space doesn't really matter, not really, But if you want the game to run MUCH SMOOTHER try UPGRADING to a SSD (Solid State Drive). Just make sure the memory space is equal to or greater than the HDD you are replacing obviously. this video help me in deciding to switch
I changed to an SSD this year. My sessions ran smoother for time but eventually the quality degraded. I wanted to know if I could manage the quality of my experience by deleting unused memory within my SSD. In other words: Is DCUO beyond SSD drives at this point?
If you go to ps site and search they will give you the required specs. If you get the wrong type it can cause your ps3 to overheat or run slowly
DCUO is beyond SSD drives for PS3. At this point its not a harddrive issue, even though its ability to access local memory off the drive is still there. Make sure the SSD can handle the specs for DCUO, as now DCUO seems to run hard on PS3 now compared to what it was last year. Even with the SSD there will still be some load time problems and lag, but it will be way better than the stock harddrive on the ps3 and should give you what you need until 2017.
