Happy to commit to this. We're already working on quality of life issues in a planned, intentional way. This work is being split between new internal tools and tagging work through an internal prioritization from our entire team to call out long-time annoyances, bugs, tech debt, and other issues that we simply think would be great to get handled.
Just remove the penalty from feeding artifacts and increase the crit chance... How can we Wolfpack artifacts if it takes 6 months of saving XP to level. Ppl pay for convenience, the conversion rate of XP right now is hardly convenient. I spend money when 2x XP comes out every time it comes out. We are inclined to spend when it is convenient, not the opposite. I wolfpacked 4 artifacts because and ONLY because of the sale. If the price was normalized to this, everyone could get a crack at it, not just the people with discretionary benefits. Some folks got mouths to feed, on both sides of the table. Glad to see some real news and interaction from the team. Keep the transparency up. Some of us have more hours invested in this game playing than you do designing it, and that is not a knock, it's a fact!
I think that this is a good start. I'm not sure on the best way to accomplish this but I think it would be helpful to make a request for the community to start reporting bugs, even old ones. There are a lot of ancient bugs that are not reported due to their age. Due to staff changeover, I would not be surprised if they were not being tracked internally as well. The forum has always been kind of iffy for bug reports since they tend to get lost, I'm not really sure if some system exists that would be better though.
I'm not a fan of the weekly reset day change. I appreciated that the wisdom was found to move system update days away from reset days as they often interfered with each other because of the extended downtimes. It was my belief that by separating the two, it would make the reset day experience better and still lead into the weekend so that more people will be able to play uninterrupted. For that reason, I'm not a fan, and it doesn't seem as though we, as a community, were really considered with this change. As I've recalled and experienced, loot locks always lifted (for me in California) at 1AM PT on Thursday along with the weekly resets. Any and all spotlight or event changes took place on that same Thursday AFTER the system restart. I don't see why we can't keep it that way while moving the system updates to Tuesday. Alas, the die for July 16th has been cast already so we'll see how it goes. Still, I will emphasize that I'm not a fan of the move.
If anyone is interested in checking the new rewards coming with Brainiac Returns: After Shock update, and more
I’m worried the new reset day to Tuesday will kill the interest in running things on the weekend now. The server population will be busy middle of the week instead of the end of the week now. For those of us with jobs this kinda sucks no? Not sure if you took your overall playerbase into account on that? I hope you see numbers that we don’t that makes this time shift a better deal.
It will help the playerbase overall though. Think about it, if an episode/content drops on a Thursday, the team only has a day to tweak or fix things before the weekend. Meaning they don't start to work on it again until the following Monday. With this change, they will have more time to work on stuff throughout the week, Tues-Friday. Having the loot locks line up with that makes sense too, otherwise we only have two initial days before it resets. You'll still have a weekend of playtime inbetween.
Yeah, my bad was a crude message typed on the spot from the phone out of excitement. I meant the new Horns from the Year of the dragon picture teaser are more in the type of horns with back pointing angles than upwards (krampus) or spiral like abyssal horns. The anniversary event Cerberus has pretty much all 3 types with only the accurate abyssal horns being available to players. Hence, I’m happy with that type being added and I personally like the cool texture of the new horns, especially the root texture resembling scales of a dragon. Nice job and the event can’t come soon enough ^^
The way the change to Tuesdays was originally explained, any system or game updates would happen on Tuesday and that would give them extra days to sanity check any bugs or issues in real time. It wouldn't impact the weekly resets. This change reintroduces the issue we've had with extended downtimes on reset days.
Here's an idea: You're already working with Microsoft to bring the game to Xbox Series X/S consoles. Hows about you work with them to ENABLE High Texture Detail on the PC Edition of the game? It's utterly ridiculous, and has been for several years, that Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have higher texture detail than the PC edition of the game! And now you've got the PS5 client, and an upcoming Xbox Series X/S client, and meanwhile, PC players with hardware that's MORE powerful than the consoles are left with a game that looks WORSE than on the consoles! It's not right!
My exact worry too. My nights off align with the current reset so my main gets stuff quickly. Even then, queuing up on my alts 24hrs after the current reset gives me wait times of an hour or more for the latest raids. I get that they're hoping the population might even out but I don't think it will. Consider how they've been passively trying for years to get players to cut back on the henchmen/sidekicks/quiz/grims with content that prioritizes being able to move around and it hasn't worked.
I’m sure this was asked and I don’t really wanna read through all the messages but Tuesday is reset again then right ? So we gotts get everything we want done that’s a weekly this week .. by Monday ?
Hey! Yes, this is true, but if you can get online early enough Tuesday morning before reset you can do some last minute stuff. Such as, since we are getting 2x Bizarro Samples starting after reset Tuesday 16th, if you log on before reset on Tuesday 23rd you can take advantage of the 2x Bizarro Samples for example.
Would there be any chance some minor visual updates for some older powers? For example, as a Sorcery healer on Switch, my Circle of Protection ends up being completely invisible often and the only way to know where it is or if it is even working is by the ring of sparkles on players. With water and their aoe, it has always been very visible and easy to always see and when I'm in groups with a water healer, I don't even get the sparkles to see where my CoP ended up because water's effects override Sorcery's no matter what. I saw in some videos that CoP used to have green energy pillars similar to it's dps version and would love to have those back to make it easier to see where it's placed and active, even when a water healer is using their aoe.
