Power Overwriting Update

So during SOE Live myself and Sore asked about power overwriting during the Combat Mechanics panel.

So the general info is that its getting changed soon. The tech to stop overwriting from happening is available as was shown at launch, but the main fix that needs to happen is having a single persons power from stacking.

This is prevelent in powers that have DoTs with short cooldowns which you could spam and clip as much as the effect lasts. So they either change all the powers cooldowns that could stack to prevent them to which they weren't optimistic about as a temp fix, or wait for this tech to happen.

NO WAIT I LOVED IT WHEN MY LEAGUE GET 3 NATURE DPS RAIDS XD! Although the dots disappear from each other we share the dots. We do better overall damage than any power dps combo. It's like having trolls..you throw outthe ccompetitive aspect and finish faster.

Well this is definitely a refreshing update on DoTs. Brings in more flexibility and less "We can't run another Nat DPS because their dots overwrite." And the same goes for any power.

It overwrite but poison spores PI stack. This let harvest and nature grenade do more damage. The dots also go of the strongest nat dps with dots. This why 3nat dot dps are OP. 4k crit with nat grenade using poison spore PI that is equal to using terror PI and wm crit.

But pugs and the average player aren't that smart ;)
So that'll hopefully remedy that ignorance. :)

    Wait till when???

It's been broke for 3 years now?

Just make all Dots do burst damage..it's that simple.

Just today someone didn't want two Fire DPSes in a raid. As far as I know, the main concern are the DOTs from Inferno. I couldn't help but say...

"Really? We're not going to beat this raid? All because of DOTs that'll add up to, at most, six Weapon Master hits. Really?"
