That picture is quite old, the emblem spot on the Starwart Defender was greatly increased, later on in turn increasing the scale of any emblem displayed on that one chest style. And if you didnt get it when it was up then you snooze you lose, hopefully for those who didnt get it last time they can finally get a legit Superman emblem.

Technically this is not the stalwart defender gear we have in game. The design looks similar to what we have but the exact version is not in game and I would love this style. Anybody agree or disagree?

Just a cursory glance reveals many differences between those two costumes, so while similar they are most definitely not the same style.

90% of styles in this game are "inspired" not direct copies

I am all for people wanting iconic styles but I miss the days when people were satisfied with inspirational iconic styles not needing exact copies

Superman's style has been adjusted so many times - there is no way the Devs could exactly emulate every single nuance. some literally have a few cm in symbol size as a difference... or a longer cape.. should the devs cater to every nuance ?

Just as in the comics themselves, it's artistic interpretation. Different artists draw the same exact costume in different ways. And the posted reference image was taken from a completely different video game which rendered it using a completely different graphics engine, different textures, different lighting effects, etc. And last, but by no means least, in that game's version of the DC Universe, pretty much ALL of the iconic heroes are wearing "Up-Armored" versions of their costumes, changing the looks of them.

My challenge to YOU is to find a way, with the existing styles in DC Universe Online, to make it look as much like the version in that other game as possible! Because THAT'S the mark of a truly creative player with good attention to detail. ;)

I'll even give you a couple ideas free of charge!

    1) Try using the Chrome Material on that Style Set's Waist Style to make it look more like the belt as seen in that other game.

    2) Try looking at ALL the Foot Styles in DC Universe Online to find a pair of Greaves/Shin Guards similar to what's seen on the Up Armored version of that costume as seen in the other game.

    Return of Superman
    Kingdom Come

Of course, there's all sorts of variant emblems that could be released as well.

Nothing like giving me 150 million dollar option to finish out the style. Look the point of this posting is what Superman style I would like to see. Other user might be happy getting something similar in the game but it is not the same. I am glad that people are willing to show me things that are close and make suggestions on how to get close to the styles posted. These suggestions cannot be achieved by the average player. The emblem is not available, the chrome material suggested is 100 to 150 million on usps server, and the stalwart defender chest style sells between 5 and 10 million dollars. The devs are asking the question on what people want to see. I think a new updated version of this style is something people would like.

Ppl want styles that are not already in the game. Its kinda pointless going for variants of styles we already have. Im sure the devs understand this and already have a good idea of what styles they wanna bring in. Their time/ resources to make the styles are limited since they are working with a small crew on many other projects, I think its better to give the players what they havent seen in game vs another variant.

    - Some of the pictures posted are from other DC video games... which is their interpretation of the style. DCUO has done the same thing, taken the costumes from the comics and interpreted it as their own. I think interpreting the same style 5x to suit differing tastes/opinions is a waste of time & resources. e.g. Give us 5x Superman styles is fine but not 5 variants of stalwart defender/new 52

    - To clarify - This thread was not started by a dev, so the devs are not asking us anything about what future Superman we want, this was posted by a player. Although the devs may look & take note this is not going to suddenly bring it 20x variations of the Superman stuff we have already.

    - You yourself have gone to the costume thread praising people's creativity with all the different styles they have created. They took what the game had and got inventive & the iconics created by some are just awesome. Except for some recent exceptions most of the styles in this game were "inspired by" - it is only recently we are seeing this new "exact" look thing happening.

    - 90% of newest styles in this game either take a lot of game play to get, money (real and/or in game) or require you to reach endgame, so your issue of money etc will always be an issue, no matter how many variances they make to suit players like you. I also am of the opinion that the "average" player is close or at end game - or will get there pretty quickly so will have access

Unless you have an alt with lots of tradeable/account bound spares or a lot of money.. noone is at level 10 sporting exactly the style released a week earlier by the devs. Most people have to work for the style they really want.

re: emblem.. that IS a sticky issue.. i hope ppl get that soon/one day

I still stand on rest :p

And I am hoping noone is hammering you :( - we are just expressing differing points of view :)

You didn't seem to be saying that about the exact style you just quoted there. The first pic you used was of the New 52 Superman, for which the Stalwart Defender was styled after. You kept saying that they can do an updated version of the new 52 suit, but what you want is actually is a specific comic book artist's style, which is not necessarily possible given how things change from sketch to actual implementation using this game's rendering style. What i'm saying is that the Stalwart Defender is the New 52 style, it just doesn't look exactly like it because this game doesn't look like comic book art style. About the only "update" they can really do is giving it a texture bump so that it better matches with some of the more current style (which personally I wouldn't mind).

I like what most people have suggested....Superman styles that we haven't seen in the game in any form, or had available for player use. That would also include a separate Emblem for all.

I get that now....but we all mentioned the first one which you appeared to be talking about, had you responded to those posts with the pic above, that would have all ended on the same page. For the record, I like the above suggestion as well...would definitely dig it.
