Parademon inspired gear - HoP1 teaser!

I'm more partial to Sapphire Lanterns, I think Hybrid powersets in general would be a sweet idea.

I know next power is a troll, just saying WOTL part 3 would be a tank power if next 2 DLC's (HoP part 1 and WOTL part 2) have no powers and then AF2 and HoP 2 then WOTL 3 would have powers (WOTL being last would be tank again) unless they change the role patterns.

UNLESS DLC after HoP is not part of any trilogy etc

They probably aren't going to continue the triologies right away. They'll just do some other DLC plots instead of starting any of the part 2s, just to shake things up. Little too much Lanterns and a little too much Amazons and a little too much 4thWorld (maybe this one's not true) to go back to those stories so fast.

And plus, they can't do any more new powers at all until they officially discontinue them on the PS3.

Sadly, I believe they won't discontinue the PS3. Majority of customers are there.....they have to eventually though before PC and PS4 people decide to quit because of lack of powers

Tbh I get what your saying but despite "patterns" thats still just speculation rather than fact. There could be 10 powers in 2015 or there could be 1 power in 2015, my point is that theres a lot more in this game that either is or could be "varied" to keep you guys interested. Im not trying to be condescending with that comment btw, I say "you guys" because im a DC Comicbook megageek so things like seeing the Rings scanning ppl in open world or hearing Kyle and Atrocitus mention Ion and The Butcher keeps me entertained. These DLCs arent just rich with DC Lore, they drop subtle hints of where the stories going if you know the source material.

Back to the question though, have you tried all the powers so far? What is it about them that isnt good enough to necessitate a New Power?

They will. Because of that. If more than 25% of their PS players are on PS4s they can phase out the PS3. 30% of their players are on PC, plus 25% on PS4 means 55% of their players need next gen tech. Hitting 25% on PS4 will probably happen fast. Maybe already happened. Depends how many early adopters play here.

Ok, found it. That link leads you to a thread with players trying to guess the power that would come with Amazon Fury I. That was Spytle's answer by page 2...

I believe the DLC road was mapped already, Halls of Power I is next, then War of the Light II, Amazon Fury II and Halls of Power II, which will be followed by the third and last part of each one of them.

Like you guys have been saying, if the role order is to continue and a new lantern power is coming with War of the Light III (healer is the only role missing from the Corps), then Halls of Power II would likely have a controller power.

They never committed to continuing the Trilogies immediately after DLC11. They'll probably do other stories and then come back to WotLII when the next power rotation for healer comes up.

I know about Ion but no idea what Butcher is (equivalent of Predator/Parallax?)

I've been all powers and all roles but gameplay reasons (enemies do so much absurd damage that even the Tank needs to block? Blasphemy) and my friend's unnatural love for Sorcery healers (which I didn't enjoy) forced me to go back to Controller (Hardlight)

That's why I thought this DLC would have a power, a controller power. I miss days when controllers were more than batteries and HL was a good DPS (Oh yeah I suck DPS'ing because your Sticky Bomb does 5 500+ hits of damage after WM and doesn't split and that's all you spam....)

I know how to work with every power I'm just one of those types that if it was an RPG with classes, I'd make a character for every class

The last time I liked new gear styles was with War of Light. The lantern themes were impressive. The Amazon gear is misshapen, ugly and worst of all not functional. I made a better looking Amazon using previous styles namely, Viking chest or Noble warrior, Barbarian legs, no hands (Viking/Noble warrior chest both have a band around the upper arm and at the wrist) For the feet I've used several. Greco-Roman, Alan Scott, Amazonian (Gates). The only thing I like about the Amazon Fury gear are the head pieces which allow the hair to show and the sheathed swords are very nice. I think the legs should look more like the cape Amazon Strategos with separated pleates.

Of course all those amazon legs are metal no leather so they just look like iron lamp shades. Oh well. While I'm here I'm might as well ask for something else that will never happen. I would really like a version of say, Noble Warrior or even the Harpee helmet (sans the feathers) with wings on the sides. Again the NPCs have all the hot stuff. But this new stuff is just plain unimaginative.

Yeah basically despite everyone freaking out over Blackest Night connections, this WoTL trilogy is heavily hinting at what is known as the Emotional Spectrum Entities. Rings are powered by Batteries, Batteries are powered by The Central Battery, but the Central Battery draws power from each Emotional Spectrum Entity.
Green Is ION
Red is The Butcher
Blue Is Adara
Violet is The Predator
Yellow is Parallax
Indigo is Proselyte
Orange is Ophidian
These entities were created when the first being in the Universe felt each Emotion. They are the physical embodiment of each emotion and contain the raw power of each.

Ok so what would be new about this new power though? Isnt it reasonable to suggest that you'd become bored with the new power as easily as you have the others? If thats the case then whats the point in making others?

Comics is all about bringing back old characters again and again. Making them cool for now rather than dated and corny would be you guys' mission should you choose to accept it. The WB YoungJustice looked very cool I thought, and they were in a couple different episodes and had an impact on the ongoing story.

Still though, my issue with the HoP DLC isn't about the FOrevers per se, but about having a lot of lesser known supporting characters make any sort of small contributing appearances possible. I think that is the heart of The NewGods. Character depth and diversity. A big cast of characters.

I know that's hard to do for a video-game though because of how much work it takes to make characters.

What I really wonder is if the current three trilogies might be building toward yet another larger story. Seeing the Amazons with spacecrafts in the background makes me curious if WoTL, AF and HoP might not culminate in a large scale, somewhat cosmic story, perhaps a Crisis DLC or DLCs. Now wouldn't THAT be a treat

And the only new news here would be "new powers before retiring the PS3." I think I remember reading a post from you a few weeks ago where you said there are no immediate plans for any new powers because the PS3 is at cap. That's good news at least.

@Sdma I love Hardlight, DPS'ing just ain't what it used to, I remember you could have Fan's Prec DoT and normal Fan's Might DoT at the same time, each DoT overwrites the last now....
