Opposing Faction Lock Box Styles?

Is this really working right?

Only twice have I gotten the option to choose a style from the opposing faction. Every time its junk I can get anywhere on my side.

I have enough Omegas to make them an obvious fail. They are not in the least special or worth anything.

It's been long enough to show me that, as usual, this was a crap addition to the game. Why is everything crappy?

What would help is if they were tradable on the broker. I imagine there are a few villains who feel the same way.

I've only had a couple of opposite faction styles. I think the main styles I get are Kryptonian something.

I don't think that is necessary.. there are no feats involved. I like that they are rare.

I think the rare styles would still be rare, plus it would invigorate the broker.

Fun > necessity.

They are always the low tier items for me!

I've gotten several villain styles. Not all on my main, sometimes I get different stuff on my alts. My alts that have not ran as much content as my main often get styles they need.
It may be crappy for your specific situation, but I think the crap doesn't cover everybody. Sometimes I take the vault ticket or the repair bots as well, or the aura. I have them all, but those sell well in the broker.

What wouldn't be crap coming out of the Promethium boxes?

They wouldn't be nearly as rare as they are now... that is fun.

Necessity? The broker is doing very well...

And, hey, they are account bound.

I'd prefer to see them drop more frequently, or in a different fashion. Personally, I always wanted them as the loot drops in alerts and duos to keep them relevant for players who beat the raid on day 1 and don't need gear. I don't think that styles should be rare at all or if they are, attainable in some different way.

...if you want an aura or base item. Styles? Not so much.

Head also had only 2 styles available. Legs, waist, etc, had zero.

I, a bonified villain, have only gotten Batman and Superman styles, and a Doctor Fate leg.

800 styles says Mepps. So, 1/4 of those would be the beginner styles, another 1/4 would be the styles obtained through investigations, collections and briefings, and the 2/4 would be the opposing faction styles, sound about right? Then I just realized that the investigation/collections/briefings probably don't count.

Where I am going with this? I honestly don't know lol so maybe someone can pick this up and finish it.

Your villain (or hero) is able to get Hero (or Villain)-only Styles outside of the Prom Boxes?

There are not 800 styles in there. Lol. If there is? Joke. System is once again set up to not work in anyone's favor.

Even before this, I hadn't seen an aura more than once in the past year. The Dinosaur things I'm convinced were taken out well over a year ago.

This stuff sooo should have been tradeable. Yet again a huge mistake opportunity to have some sort of broker system. I'm sory, but the 5 things we have that are sellable doesn't cut it.

If 99 out of 100 boxes are garbage, then it's a crap system. It's going to piss off more people than please. It's supposed to be a reward for play time. Not a huge disappointment nearly every time. That just bad for the game.

You are the one who said it was junk you could get anywhere on your side, so unless your villains (or heroes) are regularly able to get hero (or villain) styles that getting them in the Prom Box is considered 'junk' you are farting out your cake hole

I have a TON of villain styles, I love the new lockbox system.

I got a weapon style over the weekend - Shaman Staff.

There are also styles that come from collections, briefings and investigations. I got the original Aeronaut head last week, too. I totally believe there are 800 pieces in the loot list.

I have only gotten a few villain styles and none of them very noticable, belts and stuff like that. Still, I do like the prom box loot. Always interested to see what's in it when they drop.

Lockboxes are filled with a lot of unwanted styles to make getting the opposite faction style harder and to make lockboxes valuable and worth subbing for.

Its definitely sucks not getting any cool styles for several days straight.
