Open Episodes Return!

You're close...he is in association with DCUO and I could care less but you're close.
He will defend every action DCUO does whether it be right or wrong. He might even help players vanish from the forums if you disagree with or call him out for his association.

I will add that there are a few things that DCUO could do to boost subscription perks and boost sales across the boards.


The open episodes is a start for sales.

I have a list but I have to wait. Chores around the house are calling.

You wanna boost subscriptions? Quit adding things to the game that cost over and above the membership fee to acquire.

While legendary members do have it better, when you look from the outside in you can see that replay badges limit all players.

If you play other MMOs you can see sometimes their devs do ingame events for their members, giveaways etc. However for us we only get a anniversary gift and in the past it seems to have been given away to all levels which leaves legendary with nothing really.

I Quit playing about 5 months ago because I honestly was fed up with the games direction , endless glitches and bugs , dedication towards the one week max cr noob players over the day 1 core players and everything being pay to win.

Glad to see the open episodes returning because i can check the game out again , see what the content is like that i missed and possibly see if its going to be worth re subbing and with the stat revamp I've heard about I may brush off the tights and start suiting up again.

I'm starting to think that Jackster is Barney Rubble of the video game world, with his wacky get rich quick schemes, I wonder if Since we have had two open episodes and five months of nothing do we have more subscribers now or before all the pandering to the bottom feeders

The game probably has more subs because of it but i would bet my life that around 75% are not active anymore

Open Episodes remain a double edged sword and imo the negative edge cuts more deeply into the future than the positive one can ever aid the present.

While DCUO remains CRIPPLED due to the inept spectre of 'Content relevancy' all that happens is that people get projected to parts of the game that cease to exist when the offer ends.....does this encourage a few more subs...maybe but many many more will simply stop playing the overall sense of life/activity and community decreases and the opportunity for further earnings from these lost players will be all but gone forever. It is a classic case of sacrificing the future longevity of the game for a quick buck - a sad and stupid place to be.

All content should offer some kind of reward toward progression at all times - selected content in all tiers should be free at all times to permit the f2p a route (albeit a long and tortuous one) to keep players here at all times in all seasons and all weather....when someone is playing the likelihood of them spending money on the game or subscribing remains once you drive them away those chances diminish exponentially.

Content relevancy is the single most stupid idea in the history of DCUO maybe even all MMOdom, it is the product of a narrow minded philosophy mutually exclusive to the terms entertainment, choice, variety and freedom...it is a mechanism that shrinks the game and removes incentive and scope, it segregates players, isolates sections of the community, cossets elitism it is everything an mmo should strive to avoid and it has to go!

Offer the player all the game can offer, reward time and progression with the freedom and variety to enjoy all the game in the way they individually find most fun. This is the way to make people commit and subscribe, not short term tricks that back the player into a dead end!

Open episodes DO decrease waiting times on LFG & on duty queues.

Speculating on theoretical residual benefits that are only perception based opinions does NOT disprove the fact that the purported customer appreciation event does not include anything for the loyal paying subscribers. They should just call this event a free preview for those they want to become subscribers.

sorry but most of that list isnt even worth to be a perk anymore.

150 replays = 1 raid reset which is useless due to crap drops you'll see in dcuo
MC = should be based on if you got the 1, 3, 6, 12 plans
powers/skins/vault/prom boxes = worthless
TC and TC keys = legendary dont get higher drop rates then anyone else its the exact same for everyone, as for the keys legendary got screwed with only getting 2 extra keys then premium and 3 more then f2p. Hell f2p should only get 2, premiums 3, and legendary 10 + 1 stab per month for free.

I may complain as you call it, but at least it comes from experience and not just pulling it from thin air like most on this forum.

So wait, let me get this straight. If people dont agree with your opinion they are criers and greedy? Sure sounds reasonable And ill bite on the hbo example because u are comparing apples to oranges. The correct example would be u as the customer paying for hbo and then your cable provider giving away hbo for free to other customers. Actually every single example u listed is comparing apples to oranges and isnt the same thing at all.

And if im really honest its really getting old seeing non objective opinions on these forums where no matter the decision people defend it. Everything has pros and cons, nothing is perfect I take no issue with people having a different opinion on something and disagreeing. But refusing to see other peoples opinions and agreeing with everything isnt objective at all and shows 0 perspective. The tv example too for black friday. The right comparison would be buying the tv at say walmart and then walmart giving away tvs for free to people. On dcuo people are paying to play content by either subbing or buying the content as premium. And twice in 6 months now they are letting people who pay nothing play that content. And like someone already said, a lot of what u listed as perks are not really perks anymore.

Lmao, can you guys imagine how the new players will feel once they find out that they have to purchase dlc after open episodes end?

At least make elite raid loot reward separate from regular like alert for members

Because DCUO isn't a Free to Play All the Way Through Game. It's a Free to Play to the Point Where You Either Pony Up or Get the Hell Out Game.

I have no problem with folks getting a "free" month other than the impact it is having on my game play by causing increased server loads which are apparently causing game instabilities and crashes.

So, as someone that actually forks out moolah for the privilege of playing and then ends up with the server crashing on the last boss of GOM, I don't like it. Or, just being randomly disconnected or bounced out of my base with an instance doesn't exist error.

Other than that, no problem at all.

I open Time Capsules and Amazon capsules for free. Just run the practice daily. And, as a subscriber, I can get a free stabilizer faster than the F2P folks.

How do I access Episodes? I don't see them in either my Journal or On Duty. Am I looking in the wrong place? Thanks!

guys, new guy here. I wanted to ask that since the episodes are open, do we also get the same loot from them as we would if we would have bought them? for eg I want the jay Garrick helmet that u can get from ep 17. will the fermium player get it too? thanks
