Open Episodes Return!

Where's legendary players reward ? I've had a subscription since the game came out and there's really no appreciation for long time members.

Why are some of you so envious of a few freeloaders? Especially since they still have to deal with much more limitations than in any other comparable "F2P" game... Nothing is taken away from you so just let them enjoy their "free" month. Some might even stick around.

If a member pays 10, 12, 15 or whatever a month for Legendary (which the main deal with Legendary is for Full Content Access), and then they turn around and give that away for free for a month, why do we still have to pay??

I think they need to, in a way, discount the month for members. One simple way would be to give them half their money back for the month via Loyalty Points... But then again, the devs deleted my thread in regards to that, so it is what it is.

What is being taken away from members, is the value of the month they have paid for.

that would be true only if this game were truly free to play. however dlcs make sure that is not the case. if this game was optionally free to play and only to a degree pay to win it would make free players getting a basic paying player benefit a sl ap in the face of said members. but it's not. free players wouldn't even get past tier 5. but hey who cares as log as our greed is tended to right? who cares about everybody else i'm the only one who matters right? don't get me wrong i plan on buying the episodes now that my subs's over but there are many people who can't. they do well to keep a roof over their head for the holidays and food on their plates. for some this game is the only measely escape from dreaded reality they have.

I'm not being envious of the F2P players I just think maybe it's time for legendary players to maybe get a reward or at least a thank you for supporting this game for years .

honestly the best thing they could do would be raise the rare style rates in lock boxes for the monthes that they do open dlc.

Probably should give an announcement prior to releasing open house on the episodes. The people who subscribed beforehand may not appreciate that they wasted paying instead of holding off a few days.

also i've noticed so many thread bare places in dcuo. back styles are fairly limited as are face styles. what if in releasing new content they made it possible to earn such new things gradually through game play? more stuff like open world and solos/duos and maybe even a few bounties. a sin avatar open world/bounty where we get an actual sin avatar wing style would be greatly appreciated by a lot of players.

this would make the game far more vibrant by adding new things for the existing veteran players and some things to look forward to for new ones.

Nah freeloaders get so much less that its barely comparable to a membership. As someone who has always been a sub this promo wouldnt even get me to reinstall the game tbh although I didnt play the last EP. Just to many restrictions.
If you arent at endgame (latest EP isnt open) I can somewhat understand your POV but even then whatever you paid for isnt taken away from you just bc someone else gets it for free. You still get what you paid for its just a little less exclusive.
It would be nice if DBG would do sth for their loyal subs too ofc (other than a lousy Bat-Drone at Christmas ).

I stand by my point that paying members are getting the shaft here. Like I said earlier, if you are paying 15 a month to have the benefits of a member, which includes episode access, but then they give it for free, they need to give a portion of the money back to the members who paid for that access...

hardly a shaft. i can make entire lists of things members get that freeloaders don't. why even have dlcs then? if what members truly pay for is all the extra stuff then why not just rest financial responsibility on those customer's shoulders? because then they'd have to charge MORE for subscriptions. dlc purchases pay half of the development and server costs probably.

You're missing the point. We subscribe based on the idea that all the benefits advertised are exclusive to members. Imagine that one day Daybreak decided to just give 400 daybreak cash to everyone for free. They would say "but members get 500 dc." So basically, that month of my membership is worth considerably less. I would only be getting 100 dc more than free players. Am I supposed to be happy about wasting money like that? Especially if they reward everyone else but give me the same reward as always with nothing additional?

If this is something they're going to be doing regularly, they should advertise it with a small asterisk beside membership perks section next to unlimited DLC access. Something like (*several times a year free players also recieve unlimited access to episodes).

now we're getting xenophobic. it's not SEVERAL times a year. it's two. again as stated dlc purchases half pay the bills. this is most likely a so called "thank you" to the non subscribers forced to buy dlcs just to enjoy "2/3rds" (a majority) of the game. again all benefits ARE exclusive to the members. temporary access is not truly a benefit. would you call venom a benefit? certainly it makes you stronger but what do you do when it wears off and you're weaker and add insult to injury, sicklier than ever?

So for the next month and change Legendary players are going to be like

Carrying some wayward pugs
Legendaries all say "ugh!"
Levelin' up with no skill points
And they don't mod their gear

cool now Ican boost up my toons

gotta love the people that cries "what about the loyal players what we get" being legendary doesn't make you loyal just saying :/ there actually good players than these ppl already have access to the content and do a better job give them a shot
