Omnibus - Often a Condescending Tone

It's not so much a 'set' target, as it is a direction....which is just NOT the direction he's facing when just doing his normal fighting. So, if everyone is in a corner by a chain, he'll run to one of the 3 people he's not directly fighting...break a chain, then you move 1 person to another chain...off the broken one...and leave the remaining 3 in place. Once the room is down to one, it's best if 1 person moves towards the middle...whoever he's most focused on, leaving the other 3 at the 1 remaining chain, guaranteeing he'd turn and charge it. This is also a good way to do it if you have a tank from the start. Just have the tank keep him in the center, and have the other 3 rotate around the room, knocking out 1 chain at a time. Easy peazie Minotaur squeezie.

My point was that if that guy was soooo good. And you all were sooo bad just standing there whomping on him, he could have easily cleared 3 chains just by NOT joining you all face smashing him. But hey, then you don't post up those big 'boss damage' numbers, which is really the root of many of our issues. Everyone just wants to smash the boss in the face...forget the rest. And that translates to endgame as much or more than old content.

He obviously was NOT all that good and therefore...no loss if he boogied out if the disband failed.

Gee... Thanks for the condescending explanation. I must be an idiot, who doesn't know why spam-bots and hackers are in the game.

Oh, wow... 3 people to moderate all conversations between hundreds/thousands of players speaking many different languages, and to make sure nobody seems like they're looking down their nose at anybody else? Yeah, that sounds like it would work... :D

That is kind of how I play the game now, once it goes into EEG category, it is dead to me. Wonderverse was my favorite DLC. It was so much fun and I loved the open world it offered too. But now, when I visit Patchword Themyscira, and I see that my CR goes from 443 to 320ish, it’s like a knife to my chest. All that progress and growth, gone just like that! Poof!

No thank you, I will choose to stay at End Game and play End Game content where I can be and feel strong like a super heroine.

Exactly. It's much easier to accept that something is looking down at all of us with harsh judgement. Nobody is likely to even be punished. There's just something out there watching to see what you do despite these circumstances and maybe it has the power to do something about it. If everyone thought this way... we all wouldn't be complete and total pieces of crap.

Keep in mind I forget players four seconds after an instance ends...but it was in a duo and a few times over the course of a few weeks i'd run her through some content. Wasn't so much me explaining anything rather than just providing enough firepower to get her to wrok through content. My favorite way to run the new alert is me and three noobs. its the best.

In fact now I wanna queue into an omni raid as the only dps. me a tank and six healers.

A tank, a troll, and 6 battle healers with stackable group shields
It's a wet dream. Zero damage taken.

Yes...If I see a person on repeat over a few runs, or even see them shouting for feat runs or whatever in LFG, i'm more prone to helping them out as they seem to be putting forth an effort to get 'better' that doesn't involve just dropping a CC on artis/allies and watching the latest 'OP build' video on YouTube.

But I salute your resolve in slumming running with the newbies. Rally on Don Quixote!

Yeah, that's why I refrained from calling it as such. My TL;DR still comes down to.. what did folks expect? Lol

Naw, don't you know the fault lies with whomever has the lowest gear/artis, missing mods, or using "wrong" augments? :p

The patchword is like entirely irrelevent, my dudette. That is swarmed with so many noobs pressing buttons that whatever power you think you're entitled to is completely inconsequential.

They get a few more hits in. You sit there on that throne. Everyone wins. None of it matters.
  12. the solowing Unwavering Player

That wasn't condescending it was a straightforward reply. No snide remarks, no being factious, But as you are seeing its kinda hard to convey tone in text. :p

Ill take the 3 (that I've seen, sure there was more) to whatever we have now. That have no in-game presence.

I recall watching GM Monk in Metropolis passing out the suspension/ban hammer to players who chose to test his resolve against ToS violations. I do miss seeing that happen from time to time. It'd be a lot more widespread now with what I see in some phases, LFG, Trade, etc.

It was cool running into GMs ingame. I used to run into GM Renlador a lot in Gotham.
Some GMs would even interact with the players a bit which was cool.

One of my mid alts got kicked from a tsce raid a week or so ago. First time in a while. I think it happens about once every 8 months or so. I knew it was coming. I was the troll in a mostly league run, i think it was 6/8th league to pug ratio and their tank didn't like me stunning and ghosting ads. The easiest way to get me to bounce from anything is to tell me how to troll and I am very much a go with the flow kind of guy. If I think what you're saying makes sense I have no reason not to go along with you but if you're an idiot I can get it better and faster elsewhere without you...anyway I just wanted to get it done so I tried sticking it out despite the belligerence of the tank and his supportive leaguemates. All I needed was the first boss prestige to put me over the hump to get to the third tier of elite gear on that toon and I wanted it now so I went with sticking it out. We did clear the first boss but by the time we wiped at the second I knew it was going to happen...

but mostly because i decided to have fun and I started tea bagging all of them every time they went down instead of picking them up.

I am proud to report that betty 52 successfully completely the tsce raid one hour after getting kicked from that mythic league run with a different pug group.

    the end.

I mostly play OMNI. I like the challenge of playing with random ppls whom have random skill levels. To me, LFG is often not enjoyable for numerous reasons. I try to help explain mechanics if the team doesn't know them. I don't chase the scoreboard, because I am always looking only to successfully complete the mission. If there is a toxic person on the team, I believe they should be kicked. If the team keeps failing, I will suggest disbanding, however if the team wants to continue, I will ask to be excused. If the team won't excuse me, then I will unfortunately leave and accept the penalty.

Don't get frustrated. Don't be intimidated by ppls and queue any OMNI you want to play. Asked to be excused (leave if not excused) from any instances if you are not having fun. Put ppls on your friends list after playing with ppls you had fun with and ask them to team up for other OMNIs. Use the ignore for ppls you feel are toxic. Research or ask on the forum for information about missions you are having problems with.

    Good luck and have fun.

On Xbox, it's actually seen as waaay more rude (and a big FU) to ask to be excused as opposed to just outright leaving. Been like that for as far back as I could remember. Crazy ***-backwards, but that's how it is.

Really, that is crazy! Being polite and asking to be excused, is considered rude. What is the world coming to. I am sorry that happened to you. I am just glad it has never happened to me.

Not I, I think I've only bothered with it once before learning that the hard way. But I've only ever seen it henceforth to everyone else that ever tried over the years. Plus, not only that, nowadays it also aggravates people because it prolongs replacing them and moving on.
