OmniBus Alert: The One Who Waits

So, anyone else sick of getting TOWW for their omnibus alert?

IIRC it's a farm instance for the Ha-Ha Accessory (and associated Feat), so you're going to get non-full groups blind queueing TOWW, and Omnibus will drop you right in there with them. This (and other similar selection biases, depending what's FotM) means I generally only run Omni Alerts and Raids with two or more partners in a group. It seems to cut down on the number of times these pop.

It has always been a farm instance.

I mention it because I recall when the same thing happened with PZ.

Before this most recent episode drop I would get into TOWW occasionally which was probably a farm group. After the episode dropped it is literally every single time, on every single character that has the CR for it.

I highly doubt it is all farming groups and more likely similar to when everyone was getting PZ their omni alert.

Before this most recent episode drop, Doom was end-game. You would never get into it in Omni.

It's hard to see if that's the case now. The old On-Duty menu allowed us to see what was wrong with PZ, it had a different queue type from all other alerts, more akin to seasonals where you couldn't put in your role. That is not possible to see in the new menu.

Hey that's cool, doesn't change that its literally every alert for me now.

Literally every alt that has the cr.....it is TOWW for omni. I have always known it was the alert to get the accessory mentioned earlier, but that doesn't explain every single time on every single character that has the cr for it.

*edit* actually finding out this has been happening since it has been dropped into the omni "rotation" just lends credence that something broke.

Well, another week of omni runs finished. I ran my regular toons and even some of my event farming toons through the omni alerts.

11/11 got The One Who Waits.

Fix it.

I've started running Omni again and I swear, this alert and Star Labs Research Facility.

Sorry, not sorry, but I'm ducking the queue every single time. The One Who Waits is such a lame alert. It's short, but I just can't.

Do you ever try running with a group 4? I run in groups of 4 often and haven't seen this alert pop up that much, which leads me to believe that in some (or many) of those 11 runs, someone was queuing the alert directly and you or maybe all 3 people, filled in the spots....which is how it's supposed to work.

If it populated 11/11 runs in FULL groups? Yeah, that seems very wrong.

Solo queues, 2's, 4's. US/ EU. Cancelled queues, requeue's, exited games, requeues.

This has literally only been happening since the last episode dropped.

Yeah....that seems off. I haven't run any this week, but last week I know I landed in other runs when queuing 4 up, so it's not 100% at least everywhere.

I have even asked people who queued in if they custom queued for TOWW. Didn't see any farmers at all this week.

Guess you need to play the anti-lotto....that's some bad luck.

Haven't had this one pop a lot personally.

I got a mash-up of mostly T1 alerts like area 51, then COP, DC, TSS and a couple others, but I did get the occasional TOWW. It sounds to me like yours may be broken. I am on the EU server.

Sorry for the minor Necro, but I figured I'd post here given it regards specifically this instance.

Somehow, this morning, when queuing for my omni RAID (yes, Raid) I was given a TOWW's queue. I had to double check I didn't queue in to the Omni Alert, which I hadn't- jt was still my long raid awaited queue. I also double checked if I had gotten invited to an instance in progress, which it also wasn't. I confirmed it out of curiosity, but it never went through.

So ya, regardless of whether or not your opinion of it's frequency is working as intended, I'd say something is definitely going on with this instance...

So since I have last posted in this thread...I have gotten in 3 omnibus alerts that weren't TOWW. All 3 of those, had people who custom queued for the alert we got.

Every other omnibus alert has been TOWW. I have asked every time if people queued for it specifically. 2 have.

So, of the 25 omnibus alerts I have run.....5 have been the result of custom queues. The rest have not.

This **** has been broken since it was dropped into omnibus.

No joke...I did not get TOWW once last week, and even did a few 'opt out' on bad runs like inner and outer or star labs, however 90% of the time I was going in with a full 4 group. Maybe 12 runs in total.

I have done a variety of group sizes with omnibus alerts.

Try a few solo queues for yourself this week to see what happens.

Solo queue, omnibus alert, 4 or 5 accepts but other players decline. I asked the others once getting into the instance if they anyone queued specifically for TOWW. No one did. I didn't include the conversation because it took until after the first boss for all three to even acknowledge that someone was chatting let alone asking a question. The last person answered while we were waiting for the mxy portion of the alert to start.

Ran 6 toons through Omni alert weeklies.
5 out of 6 got TOWW
