I respect you and appreciate you helping the HL community. But I've noticed you have a hard time understanding what people are saying when they post. I did not see any hypocrisy in anything Schimaera said. If you did, please specify what it was. All that happened was he asked how scorecards are helpful in any way in a HL DPS guide. You responded with a sarcastic remark ignoring his question, then you called him an elitist. He tried to explain himself and you called him a hypocrite. So instead of having a mature conversation with this guy, you immediately went on to make assumptions and ignore the legitimate questions he asked. You did the same thing when we first started discussing. You did not address any of the valid points I was making and you continually responded sarcastically saying, "Why don't you post your beast rotations, huh?" or something along those lines. Now, please don't take any of this the wrong way. I'm not arguing with you; I'm simply pointing out facts to try and help you. When you read a post try and understand what they are saying/asking. Then try and provide a mature or helpful response, rather than a sarcastic remark based on your assumption of their tone. I know you're big on posting scoreboard pics and maybe you got annoyed when he disagreed and asked how they were helpful? IMO, what you should have done is explain why you think they are helpful and why you post them. Don't you think the conversation would've turned out better?
Everybody is beatable including Kaiser and has been beaten so on test and live. I don't think any power whether it be rage, gadgets, sorcery, ice is OP over light or vice-verse. It's always the player and not so much the power set. I don't think it's the case of the power per-se but only the player skill. If you call other powers to be better than light, then perhaps you are not doing it right.
Which one/ones do you think are better or OP or more effective than the others ? Personally, I have not experienced an imbalance between any.
lol i know there are other powersets better then light... i wouldnt say its the best ! also if you are trying to say im a crappy dps and i dont know how to dps or use HL maybe we can meet in real life and i can maybe change your mind?
Some of what your talking about should include maps. Certain Instance's lend themselves better to other powers, popular rotations, DoT vs Burst, etc. Light's AM currently is falling behind and that's why we're going to see more future tweaks(Along with giving users the option to play utilizing combo's like some want to). Light has many narrow cone type AoE's. It excels in small, narrow type maps and in single boss fight type area's.
Why would I say that you are crappy DPS when I know that you are a good player? I do not think that I would be rude or disrespectful to fellow seasoned players. All I am saying is that in my perspective, I do not see any better power sets but all seem to be equally good when a large part of our damage comes from WM.
Has this not been the case from the very beginning? Some instances and situations are better suited to one power than another; difference in DOT Vs Burst and single target Vs AOE are nothing new. HL has no AM in my opinion and the currently proposed power return AM is no good. My only objection is that despite all the limitations, I cannot say that light is not competitive and some power is OP than light. It can match any powerset in damage and excel in the right hands. That being said, all powers in the right hands are equally good and no better.
I agree with Mad. Because of Weapon Mastery, all powers are more or less equal. There's no power that can beat another by a huge gap if they're both being used right.

You sir have a very keen sight in seeing beyond what is in a simple scoreboard screenshot. I hope that many are just like you here with broad comprehension.
Actually no. It's not about who's on top, that's irrelevant. If you have the numbers of the whole group you can see who did what. I hate math, and even I could easily calculate that. One screenshot from one person would be relatively pointless, but when you get a few from different people, you can see how damage should be distributed. If someone in the group didn't pull their weight, it's obvious. Not saying that screenshots are the ultimate proof of beastiness or anything. But they certainly are helpful if you read them right.
Lockdown fast run with eboy (gadgets), Neos (rage), and warpax (mental) dps'ing. Using the loadout I posted on p. 327 (substituted recharge for NVB). Been trying out recharge instead of NVB. If I used a faster weapon (ie staff>mortar mastery) I think NVB would be better, but recharge feels a little better for HB. After 1st boss: Before 2nd boss: Final Score: eboy would have beat me by much more than 120k if he hadn't died 3x and shot rifle a couple times. Warpax DC'd after Kalibek KO'd and Mantis had 1/2 hp.
To me, scoreboard is just information, not proof. I like to check my Damage/Power use ratio... And, when someone is beating me, to see what the player is doing, what powerset he is, etc... It is easy to top the scoreboard, as mostly DPS players in this game are bad. You need to know the really good ones and play against them, IF your game is to try to be the best DPS possible. To me, to be the best DPS possible is my duty as a league member, cause I am playing as a DPS full time now. I will never put my scoreboard numbers first, it is my league´s run that must suceed, not me...
I hear this argument many times. Damage to Power use ratio has no bearing on being Top DPS and taking pride in using less power does not translate into making you better DPS. Pre GU 36, HL was a total power drain and even now if you want, you can drop the power bar in seconds. This argument is extremely flawed. When I troll, I don't mind if you use a hell lot of power to top the scorecard. Advancing the argument that I used much less power than the other DPS and we are merely 200k apart in terms of damage and so I'm a better DPS makes no sense to me. Don't worry about power use, I'll throw as much power as you need and want, just try and maximize your damage without worrying about Damage/Power use ratio.

sorry just that you said (perhaps you are not doing it right) kinda felt like i have no idea what im talking about! or maybe im not performing as good as i can! HL is a working powerset! many HL players are on a mission to find the best possible loadout... im also working on different loadouts just seems like there is something missing i will continue to work on test and with other players such as kaiser to see what would be the best possible solution for HL dps .. i know other players besides kaiser that are really good with numbers and damage and i look at all possibility's for damage! Nemesir seems to be on something i will test his loadout soon agree that WM is a reliable source to HL right now! hopefully this will change after a proper revamp.. Mad9 didnt mean to lash out at you but i have respect for everyone and will listen to everyones point of view!
I started using kaisers optimized slap007 combo..which is .. Wm >choppers/inspiration, wm >grasping hand combo into Light blast / handslap combo into grasping hand / choppers/inspiration...etc.. What my question is, is this load out a might or precision or mix for best damage. Atm I'm full might and I did amazing numbers in necro last night..just shy of 10 mil in damage, 2 mil above 2nd dps..this was honestly one of the highest damage out I've ever done..and curious if I could so better...thx Also using duel wield as weapon Ps. Hands are really sore now..lol
ive used that rotation above somewhere on this thread posted a scoreboard... im all pre! maybe your damage is slightly better ... i think kaiser is might/pre!
