Ok I'll go ahead & say it........ (Rant)

When did DCUO turn in to Dear Diary. I mean I see more threads about. ppl talking about they are sad because they got kicked from a raid, or I'll see a Someone tell them want power they should be Thread, AND MY ALL TIME FAVORITE. The let me tell you MY OPINION of what the next Update is going to be ( even though it's NOT even on test severs yet) Thread,...... Etc,.etc. I mean should we express our love for the game SURE THING..... BUT I'm tired of seeing how ppl got their feelings hurt by this guy or some group for being kicked. Let return this forum back to its former glory. Enough with this Crap

It's because outside of loot there isn't much to complain about lately and most of the threads you mentioned are stealth complaints about qunatum being 'overpowered' in pve content, aka I can't top scoreboard threads.

People like complaining and this forum has never been full of anything near 'glory' lol

This is a pretty 'eh' community at best.

It's either
-contents not hard enough
-contents too hard
-Anecdote with sweeping statement from 1 singular experience
-A generally well thought out plan to make something more user friendly commented on by the older players with 'No i used to do it this way, your lazy'
-Complaining about damage of another power in PVE
-Complaining about other people complaining
-Begging for developers to comment on rambling threads that could have expressed there point in the like 8 threads about said topic.
-bickering among players for nonsensical non consequential stuff

the majority of players dont use the forums or even comment on them

the ones that do use the forums spend more time here than in game but still throw out all sorts of opinions of how it should be even tho they havent experienced the full range of the game

im not saying every one on the forums spends more time here than in gazme but the number is still high for it

YES YES the Irony was not lost on me BUT darn it. This had to to be addressed This is my 1st and ONLY rant thread. I USUALLY post about glitches affecting the game at present or I might throw a idea about improving gameplay that i'd like to see put in game

Well your thread is a legitimate concern because it's something new and not dealt with before the gms before did a lot, including restoring my t3 back i deleted on accident, not all follow that but the overwhelming majority do.

I'm more annoyed be repeated threads. New members can't know, but I can't help myself of being sick and tired of the same (baseless/not thought through) QQs every week.

every game forum no matter what game it is has the same stuff

the new players ask what they should use ,the vet players complain about the new players,people complain about this part of the game or that part of the game and people post guesses about whats coming out next etc.

none of this is new thats just the way the internet is

So what DO you think the forums are here for ? People come to the forums for 2 main reasons... 1) to look for information on a particular subject or 2) to complain about a particular situation or state their opinion on a situation.

We have a section devoted to reporting bugs and glitches .. another devoted to guides and tactics on how to play the game .. another just for humor and fun ........................... So exactly what else is there besides the area to gripe moan and complain?

I have been coming here and posting since I joined and spent 7 years contributing to the forums when I was playing City of Heroes and I am pretty sure you will find the same sort of whining and moaning no matter where you go. At the same time how many ideas that eventually wound up in game are a direct result of players coming here to voice their opinion, ideas or concerns? I know the same thing happened a lot on COH .. The devs saw what WE wanted based on what we said and IF it was possible it eventually happened.


and last but not least...............

BumblingB got it 100% right. You are here on the forums starting a thread to MOAN and COMPLAIN about people moaning and complaining. Aside from what the topic is.... just how is your thread any different that any of the others? And "The GOOD OLD DAYS of the forums? Been here over three years and see the exact same sort of threads now as I did when I joined. when were these GOOD OLE DAYS? LOL

If you want ME to make omelets. Then don't worry about how I break eggs to get it going....I will take all the heat cus of the Irony of this thread as long as this becomes addressed.......
