Obtaining marks of victory

I never had this issue I go on and off legendary and when I'm premium I always been able to get marks when doing duos, challenges, alerts and raids but now I'm not is there something I missed

That would be my best guess, you have gone beyond the relevancy of whatever you are trying to do.

Marks are rewarded only if content is relevant to your current Combat Rating:

• Tier 1: CR 53 or lower
• Tier 2: CR 64 or lower
• Tier 3: CR 79 or lower
• Tier 4: CR 90 or lower
• Tier 5: CR 104 or lower
• Tier 6: CR 116 or lower

So if your Combat Rating is greater than 53, Tier 1 content will not reward Marks.
Most content specifies the range that rewards Marks in the On-Duty description.

I'm cr 119 I check the rewards and not one says I'll receive marks unless my cr is below the instance. So because I'm cr 119 and premium which I don't have access to higher instances I can't receive marks from lower tiers. I never had this issue -_____-

You'll have to be more specific. You're still being vague. Which instances are you trying to run that aren't giving you marks?

Marks of Triumph don't exist anymore. Only Marks of Victory, which are obtained in every tier by every player and used to buy every tier's vendor gear. As your CR goes up, you can only earn Marks of Victory from instances within your content relevancy window, which at 119, is T7 content or a few instances from Amazon Fury Part 2.

It's to prevent people from going back into easy content, like Oan Sciencells or FOS3 and earning full marks to buy complete sets of the newest gear.

So let me get this straight. Because I'm premium and don't have access to the rest of the episodes for my cr119 I can't get any marks?? Then literally I would have to buy legendary..?

Yes. Or buy more Episodes. Not much really changed though. Without access to newer content, you couldn't progress any more than you can now. The difference is, now you can't maintain your base/UT belt rent or earn Marks for styles.

It's an unfortunate side effect of the single Mark system because the Devs didn't really think about what they were doing. Legendary is the only viable option now (not that Premium was ever a good investment).

Edit: that last bit is just my opinion. Maybe there is a grander scheme beyond REALLY pushing people to spend more money. Though if there is, I have yet to see it.

Individual episodes can be purchased by non-subscribers.

I still need to finish getting gear from T4 but can't even aquire marks because none of the tiers from 4 and below give me marks. The only way I can receive marks from instances are if I either buy that episode that's relevant to my cr or become legendary. The only thing I get out of the instance is loot reward. I remember now, before there was two different marks to obtain now there's just one, victory. Disappointed here...

Absolutely understood. It was not a good idea.

Many said to "give it time" or "just wait, it'll makes sense soon".

Nope. Still doesn't work well. At least not for the players.

If you got marks from low tiered content then people would just plow through that all day and be maxed at marks. Of course you need to play content meant for 119 players if you want rewards. I suggest just picking up the Zamaron Duo episode for $4 and then maybe the new one.

Or the episodes you previously had access to, yes.

If you rent a house and stop paying the rent, you can't expect to live there. Always best to buy DLCs if your schedule/allowance doesn't allow for you to remain subscribed at all times.

You can choose from several different episodes.

• Amazon Fury 2
• Halls of Power 2
• Episode 15
• Episode 16
• Episode 17

So it's not that episode you have to buy. Just one or more out of five. If you buy 15,16 or 17, you will be able to access the vendor with the latest gear.

If you want to complete the T4 style sets, then don't forget to check out Vendor 00 in the HQ.

The thing is I can't complete the T4 sets because I can't get any marks lol because my cr too high. I only have dlcs up to lightning strikes back. I understand that they don't want people to go through easy content to obtain marks used for new tier gear. The thing that I have a problem is, I'm not talking about current tier gear. I want to complete my sets of gear from different cr requirement but I can't get marks. I believe when I was legendary I was able to get marks from any content. Also, New Genesis gear such as miraculous style is only available if you have the dlc associated with it. Farming marks at different instances would suffice until I get legendary again but that isn't the case. I literally can't get any marks because of what I just said. Without being forced to buy different episodes I'm at a loss.

You can still get marks from all content as a rare drop, as well as one mark everytime in the vault.

Lightning Strikes is Episode 2. I think you are more than just a little bit behind. Your character is T7 and you have only bought some T2/T3 content...

Rare drop is entirely different than what I'm getting at. If I complete an instance I should get marks in that instance. Obviously that isn't the case anymore maybe because of having only one mark system. I'm not sure what you're trying to imply here. Buying episodes is a choice and not a requirement. Legendary can replace all that. What I'm getting at is because of my high cr I usually do all my challenges, duos and alerts from lowest tier to the highest, working my way up getting marks from completing them.

Just to asking so you won't spend more than you need, are you buying the T4 styles from the vendor in the agriculture area or the vendor in the Magic Wing? Since you don't actually need the gear, the one in the agriculture area is only 10 marks per piece for the style.

I'm buying it from the magic wing gear, like the t3 in the meta wing. There's also aquaman I believe t5 gear you're able to buy from the magic or meta wing can't remember for sure. I can't even get marks to buy those styles. It's an issue because I can't obtain marks unless I either become legendary or buy episodes related to my cr.

I might not have noticed it since I keep making alts like crazy and take my time leveling it up. Though when there was two different mark systems for pve such as marks of triumph even as premium and a high cr, I could go to any instance no matter the tier level and finish the instance and would receive marks for completion.

So basically it has been a long time since you have played the game, sense GU47 was released in April.

What you are complaining about has all been said before, you might be taking it in a wrong direction though.

GU47 set up a concept of content relevancy (like others have said), what this did was cut the amount of content you can get Marks from.

This has nothing to do with what type of account you have. Everybody gets cut from lower tiered content when they hit a certain CR. You just have the added burden of not having bought any more DLC/Episodes other than the first two.

Umm no I haven't been away. What I been doing was I keep making alts and never noticed the issue I encountered. I shouldn't be forced to buy a dlc or episodes just so my high cr can get mere 2 marks from a duo or even 1 mark from a challenge. How am I expected to complete a feat such as T4 or T3 style if I can't get any marks? What's the point of even playing if I can't get any marks? Some would say I can still farm for styles in content I'm able to run. I really don't see a point in running any content if i won't get any marks. I already completed the 500 duo feat I just need like 250 more to complete the alert feat. While that gives me a reason I also believe I should get marks as it should have been since the start.

The only way I figured out without being forced to buy dlcs or episodes is to farm for low tier equipment. What do you suggest Xenia? And don't say buy dlcs or episodes. I'm not going to spend a full year of membership to avoid this. This shouldn't even be about paying real money. As such this is my opinion and view on this setup and don't fully agree.
