Then your Base precision should sit at roughly 150k.

If you use 6 maxed Prec Augments, 3x 200 Artifacts (yours), 4 Prec Generator mods and CR430, you could reach approximately 160k Prec.

    My base precision is 163919

    Ok so here it is:
You are either single target for the whole raid and only using dual wield tap and hold. Meaning you are hitting 1 enemy at a time
Rage is not as good a prec power. Your aoes are terrible for adding to damage to the amount
You are not using your precision weapon buff which is another 33% prec loss compared to others
The other players were gadgets/elec and using their supercharges effectively and/or aoe skills on their power (arc lightning splits damage really well)
Your clipping is not as good as you think with dual wield. you cant just clip as soon as you hold range to combo and instead need to cancel roughly 3/4s or 4/5ths through the combo to get all your damage off unlike brawling which can be cancelled instantly.
You just dont put yourself in the correct positions to hit multiple enemies at once with your combos (if using brawling or explosive shot)
    Your artifacts are not leveled

I would like to see a picture of your gear for reference to try and find out why you are lacking damage. along with your sp and loadouts

Can I add videos without using a link?

I've been here since the original Battle For Earth and that is never how the game has worked.

    Not ever.

    Not for one minute.

You say that as if it were a bug, but it's a feature. It's absolutely correct. What's wrong is your expectation that the game should change after 13 years to make stats the be-all-and-end-all over skill.

Running up scores has always been a matter of skill and practice, timing and rotations, clipping, and in every way a matter of player choices.

Having top CRs and SPs and articles and augments are only a starting place for starting on an equal basis at the top. What determines scores is entirely up to player choices, and practice, and reflexes, and knowledge.

(Which is why people kept asking you your rotation and your answer "I use the same as everyone" literally makes no sense.)

Personally, I don't see much point to caring about the scoreboard so long as the instance is finished well and quickly, with zero need to restart, but that's a personal choice.

That’s not how it works, it’s never been how it works and it shouldn’t ever be how it works. I mean, if that was the case then damn near every DPS comp would be a 5-way tie. Skill matters most. Always has.

That being said, if you’re not interested in improving your DPS skills and want your stats to carry your damage, you may want to consider going munitions might.

So you're saying if I have a lot weaker gear than someone else and have better skills then that person, I can out DPS them.

Doesn't the type of power you choose matter as well? I play atomic and it is my experience that atomic is on the weaker side as far as effectiveness, but I still like it.

I think what the OP is curious about, and I maybe wrong here, but, given the assumption one has the superior gear, the maxed artifacts, and the maxed augments, one would expect to have an advantage over someone with lower CR, no maxed artifacts, and no maxed augments.

I have not found this to be the case. I have played with similarly spec'd league mates, only they were not atomic, and they always manage to out damage me as a DPS even though I right there beside them hitting the same adds and of course fighting the same boss. Even so, I am prob 1/4 to 1/3 less damage consistently than are they. I can only conclude it is my choice of using atomic.

Upload them to your Youtube account (they are free), then link the video here and make sure you have your Combat Log tab open in the chat.

You might need to use a lower resolution be able to upload a long video, so keeping it short is probably best.

The number one factor has always been and will always be skill. I have an atomic toon and have no issues out dpsing players. Even as a battle tank I out dps many bad dps. If someone is relying almost entirely on stats to put perform others than it can only go so far. Practicing rotations and even experimenting with different rotations is the key. If you someone feels they are maxing out their damage than try something else to confirm that’s the case.

On top of that. What works on sparring targets doesn’t always work in combat if one can not maintain these rotations through muscle memory. If you can do your rotation without thinking about it any never looking to see “what off cooldown” or “what goes next” then they can focus on where to stand to max damage. If you know a specific portion does less damage than another portion of your rotation than you know what to “replace” in your rotation to use your orbitals, utility trinkets, SC, etc. Then there is also knowing the content mechanics. The difference between knowing when to use your orbital and SC and when not to use them is also important. For example, the amount of times I’ve seen players drop orbitals and SCs as soon as ORCL anf calc come out of untargetable phase. Even thou for a few seconds they take reduced damage.

So yes, players with less gear/equipment can put perform someone more geared. Even with evenly skilled players, in terms of their powerset knowledge, one could do better if they are more aware of their surroundings in actual combat.

Now, yes. There are still imbalances within power sets. But the difference are not to the degree that some claim. If someone is getting doubled than it has to do with their own performance.

I wish we could get even 1% of the effort that the players here put into explaining something to someone who simply doesn't want to understand, from the developers for communicating with us. Then we would all be much smarter and happier.

Yeah, like I predicted in an earlier post - you're not doing much damage, because you're terribly slow and sloppy. Your loadout also seems bad, but I don't play Fire Prec, so maybe someone else can tell you a better one, or you should watch some youtube fire guides.

You don't seem to understand the idea of clipping. There's no point letting your melee SS abilities run for several ticks, when you're a Prec DPS and you're nowhere near enemies. Why are you not clipping your powers together, like Meteor Strike/Fiery Weapon/Phase Dodge? Why are you using Meteor Strike as your only damaging power in the first place? Why aren't you using Robot Sidekick - at least it would do some damage while you're doing nothing?

The whole point of Prec DPS is to rattle off as many weapon attacks as possible in the shortest time. Your powers should be constantly on cooldown. If you're running around doing a single flurry once in a while, clipping with Vortex Trap which you jump-cancel way too late, it's no wonder that more skilled players DPS circles around you.

Perhaps you should just play Might. All you have to do as Fire Might ST is press a single button every 2-3 seconds, no need to even clip anything. But either way - you need to learn DPSing, from other players, youtube, or whatever, and practice your rotations and clips. Or just accept that you will be behind many players.

I have read briefly some of the comments, just to preface: I had always been a tank primarily because I want to be in the midst of the battle, not having to stand far off. It was only a bit over two years ago that I started to seek out how to do damage effectively. Fortunately, I met some players I now call brothers that have guided me through the process to be more effective. Our goal should be to do things as best we can, with patience and understanding, we are all unique as individuals, and we can learn from one another. It is not required that we all are the best at everything, just that we do our best as we can. I would not be consumed with trying to be the top DPS. Be humble, knowing someone out here is going to be able to exceed our expectations for ourselves. With all that being said, there are certainly powers and playstyles that outperform others, some by way of might and some by way of precision. Whichever you choose, be happy and take criticism with a grain of salt. Many of us have over a decade of experience in the game with our chosen roles. Seek out diligently veteran players who show you they are not above leadership to teach and share their vast knowledge and understanding of game mechanics. You will save time yet you still have to put forth the effort to apply all that you learn. No one suddenly becomes the best at anything over night. If you look through these forum posts, there is a wealth of knowledge and wisdom that one may apply to reach for their goals. If you see someone in game far outperforming you, feel free to ask them for advice. If they do not share, seek out someone else. Many of us make time to provide answers as best we can. Anytime someone stops me to ask what the best course of action is, I make time for them. I once was in a position that I would ask for someone to teach me a better way. The student eventually becomes the teacher. Have fun and be well!
