Ninja change to Legends - Kriptonian's Laser Beam

    The damage was severely nerfed and you are left open for a period of time and you take in more damage then you can put out in that span.
    Bizzaro Vs Superman.
    In the time span of the heat vision of Superman, Bizzaro took out 23% of Superman's health compared to Superman taking out 10% of Bizzaro's health.

    Thank goodness that they did, if they didn't it would have been an ability that could deal 700 damage without the dot included that also provided some mitigation. That's just too much.

    Does this essentially mean that Atrocitus has been effectively 'balanced' did they still keep the initial burst on his plasma wretch? Galling eruption lasts for a shorter time i'm assuming, and lastly, how is his SC effected?

    Atro is still one of the best legends. The initial burst stayed on plasma wretch. Plasma pool now has an initial burst.

    Not quite sure about galling eruption.

    Due to his DoTs being lowered it makes it harder to fully revive health under the effects of his sc. That's it though.

    Damn. Well i suppose the SC thing is a bit better. Probably will still be rather tough to take him down, but whatever. How's lex doing with these new dot changes?

    I must admit these hand blasters are outta control lol
    Im an advid fate user and I didnt believe the range was as crazy as it is until I tested just how far above a group I could get and I could barely see what I was targeting on a HD 1080P flat screen tv and was still hitting everything below. As a hand blaster user in both arenas and legends I support correcting them.

    It's still pretty tough to take him down. Though he actually needs to use weapon combos to win now.

    Lex is still really good. He still has both outstanding survivability and burst damage.

    Hand blaster range is exceeding what it should do...

    You can test this out too: fly directly above someones head so far that the reticle target turns white, spam solar flame and have them lunge to interrupt... You will see that you are still damaging them, yet their lunge will not register unless they jump or fly up higher. so annoying in 5s and up

    Its especially annoying with burst characters, where if you tried to lunge at the flying enemy the enemy on the grounds will likely knock you out faster then you can lunge. Make it behave like rifle's mortar where it has has a range limit.

    Question, where does this place atro on the exceptional in one area scale?

    His sc regen no doubt still there from what clutch said but his super is completely useless against anyone with a shield or decent dodge so with his damage decreased is atro really exceptional at anything now?

    Meaning where should someone now concentrate their efforts towards mastering with him now?

    Edit: I dont wany to sound like im upset or crying pver the adjustment just really asking where does his strong points fall now in your opinion.

    Before I start I do want to say I'm not an Atrocitus player so there are definitely people who can answer this more fully or with better detail.

    That being said, Atrocitus still is a heavy damage dealer while being pretty darn power efficient as well. People often forget that when his undodgeable plasma pool hits an opponent it will increase the damage of all his other attacks greatly.

    Also shields and reflects were an incredible counter to his SC before so that really hasn't changed much to be honest now.

    Ultimately these changes have seemingly forced Atrocitus into actually having to use weapon combos and power damage as opposed to mostly power damage to deal damage.

    Just my breakdown of watching a friend stream Atro for a bit last night.

    Yes, his SC is still incredibly useful and the damage from his powers is still enough to to provide you with a lot of healing. Don't forget that Atro's SC also gives you a burst heal when you use it, just like Bane. I played a scrim tonight with some of the best legends players from EUPC and managed to place top of damage by a sizable margin even with one of the best catwoman players in the game in the same match. On top of this, I had 4x the healing out of anyone else and I never died while using the supercharge.

    He's still very good, just not overpowered anymore (Infact his SC may still need a tone down).

    Atro is still very good due his SC and the dmg is still good( not as op as before with the dots but still)

    Tried running atro last night and came against a bane and the damage decrease was just enough to keep me from winning but I play rather aggressive with him which didnt work out to well. His super was not valid enough for me to be able to heal the 1v1. This all personal opinion but it was a good adjustment and not overboard, just takes some getting used to but I prolly wont be able to use him until the other heavy hitter legends also get their needes adjustments.

    Bane was hit by this update as well actually. This update has by far effected Atro and his entire play style the most though. Stay at it and I'm sure you'll find what works though :)

    Wow really? That's crazy, yesterday I was able to use it effectively with power girl though. I was in the Bat cave map, not the one with the turrets, but the other one (I think it's the inner sanctum?) I just stood at the edge of my node and spammed heat vision, ranged attacks and Freeze breath at the two enemies who were attacking my partner. My partner was really good with night wing, but I feel like I contributed greatly by just spamming my ranged Specials.
    Also, is heat vision best used after countering someone then?

    Honestly, heat vision is still a pretty darned crappy attack. You can deal far more damage with your burst based attacks.

    Freezing breath may have been of more help though as you were actively damaging both your opponents since it's a cone AoE power.

    Hey ive noticed that rifle has some pretty crazy range also. It seems like it does he same as HB. Try using rifles mortar attack at the same distance as HB. I was testing the staff inyo mortar wm combo and though the first range hold staff spin attack didnt hit, the second part mortar attack would hit all three mortars.
