    Available now, Game Update 31 is now ready for testing on the PC Test Server! All PC players with a Legendary Membership are invited. We’re looking forward to hearing your feedback!

    To get started, you can download the client here (SOE) or here (ProSiebenSat.1).

    Please note the following:
    • No characters will be copied to the PC Test Server.
    • For this round of testing, players will not be able to play previously-created characters on PC Test, and all characters will start naturally at level 1.
    • PC Test's special vendors have also been disabled for this round of testing.
    • The PC Test server will restart every morning at 4 AM Pacific
    • Please make sure to post your feedback and any bugs you find in the forum below!

    PC Test Server Only:
    ·Test Server players will be prompted to start a new character and will not be able to access previously made characters on the PC Test Server for the next few weeks.
    ·The Test Server PvE & PvP ‘special’ vendors are disabled temporarily.
    ·We thank everyone in advance for playtesting the leveling content! Please post feedback and any issues encountered to the Testing Feedback forum and please stay on topic so we can better serve everyone.

    Known Issues:

    ·The below are known issues. These are being investigated or a fix is in progress.
    oPC Only: The opening game cinematic can be skipped on accident by tapping a mouse button instead of holding the escape key.
    oAll health bars on objects (i.e. the Couplings in the Awakening tutorial, Fear Gas Foggers) appear empty. We have a fix for this which should be in the next build on Test Server.
    oMusic is dropping off sometimes when travelling from one area to another in Gotham City and Metropolis. We have a fix for this which should be in the next build on Test Server.
    oMissions
    §Fear Burns (Villain): Science Police on roofs do not display the correct icon.
    §Side Mission: Paranormal Activity (Hero): Astral Analyzers do not display the correct icon.
    §Spectrum Change (Hero): The Power Battery does not display the correct icon after being secured.
    §Robinson Park, Gotham City: We still need to update some of the icons in this area.
    §No Meta Human Left Behind (Hero): Doctor Psycho has a combat issue that we are investigating.
    §Falling STARs (Villain): There is an issue affecting player combat after the Gorilla form change. Re-equipping your weapon resolves the issue.

    Art Update!

    ·In preparation for DC Universe Online’s release on PS4, we did a considerable amount of work polishing and adding additional detail to all environments raising the visual fidelity for PC and PS3.
    ·Pillars of Hades in the Robinson Park area of Gotham City have been altered to better fit the landscape and fiction of the area.
    ·Centennial Park has been updated to show the destruction caused by S.T.A.R. Labs ships crashing into the park. This change was made to better reflect the fiction of the area.
    ·Little Bohemia Queensland Boardwalk floating platforms in Metropolis have been lowered to make them more accessible to Superspeed and Acrobat characters.
    ·Added additional environment effects in Gotham City and Metropolis.
    ·Fixed environment art bugs throughout the game.

    Leveling Content Update!

    ·Players should no longer find themselves without a mission when completing leveling content.
    ·We now guide players to level 30 better, by giving them the most important missions first and then granting missions that are relevant to their Combat Rating.
    ·Missions granted at level 30 are now chained to prevent players from receiving an unreasonable amount of missions at once when they reach level 30.
    ·Reduced the amount of experience required to reach levels 8 through 29. Players within this range may log in and find their level increased. The experience required to reach level 30 remains unchanged.
    ·We did a pass on leveling content NPCs, removing abilities that seemed unfair and updating abilities and visual effects where needed. Weaker enemies in leveling content may now use attacks that are vulnerable to block or interrupt and can be countered. However, weak enemies still cannot inflict counters on you and only have vulnerability to counter mechanics.
    ·The level of enemies in the three final episodes has been reduced.
    ·Updated leveling content with new icons and made an icon consistency pass to improve messaging.
    ·Fixed leveling content bugs.

    Mainframe Update!

    ·Henchmen/Back-Up and Sidekicks/Accomplices are now available as soon as you gain access to your Base and Mainframe.
    ·Cost Reduction
    oThe cost of gaining access to a Sidekick/Accomplice has been reduced to 5 Marks of Triumph for the initial rank and 20 Marks of Triumph for the final rank. The cost of boosting remains unchanged.
    oThe cost of gaining access to Henchman/Back-Up has been reduced to 10 Marks of Triumph for the initial rank and 40 Marks of Triumph for the final rank. The cost of boosting remains unchanged.

    Player Rewards Update!

    ·Players that defeat a boss or sub-boss will get their own loot that is separate from other players’ loot, meaning players will instantly receive their loot and will no longer roll against other players. This includes items that are not guaranteed to always drop such as Research and Development plans or Utility Belts. Some players may receive these items from a boss, while others might not. It is important to note that items dropped from regular non-boss NPCs are not included in these changes, and will be rolled on by the group as they did previously.
    ·Races now only award experience for Platinum awards.
    ·Research and Development introduction plan items are now level 8.
    ·Marks of Triumph are now awarded for completing the following content:
    oAlert completion missions for:
    oALERT: Area 51
    oALERT: Bludhaven
    oALERT: Gorilla Island
    oALERT: HIVE
    oALERT: Oolong Island
    oNo Laughing Matter
    oThings That Go BOOM (Villain Only)
    oCompleting Level 30 Bounties in Gotham City and Metropolis now award 1 Mark of Triumph and Cash.
    oCompleting Level 3 -30 leveling content Side Missions, including single and multi-stage versions, in Gotham City and Metropolis now award 1 Mark of Triumph.
    oMain Story leveling content Missions
    oCompleting the last mission of an episode now awards a Mark of Triumph and a sample marketplace consumable item in addition to its regular rewards. Exceptions to this are:
    §Watchtower and Hall of Doom Tours now award a case of 5 Marks of Triumph.
    §Completing the first mentor mission featuring Superman vs. Lex Luthor, Wonder Woman vs. Circe or Batman vs. the Joker, now awards a case of 5 Marks of Triumph and a sample marketplace consumable item in addition to its regular rewards.
    §"Religion of Crime" mission line now awards a case of 5 Marks of Triumph and a sample marketplace consumable item in addition to any other rewards.
    §Completing the final mentor mission finale awards a case of 10 Mark of Triumph and a sample marketplace consumable item.

    Audio
    ·Added more audio variety and sounds to Bestiamorph NPCs.
    ·Fixed various audio bugs including but not limited to: fixing NPC attacks that were missing sounds, fixing missing voice-overs, and fixing communicator audio messages in leveling content.
    ·Completed a music pass on leveling content.

    Feats
    ·The feat A Family Affair no longer requires the mission “Take Heart” to complete.

    General
    ·Updated trait descriptions to better describe abilities for the following power types: Iconic, Gadgets, Light, Mental, Sorcery, Nature, Electricity, Earth. Please note powers did not change.
    ·Dominance now increases the maximum possible duration of stuns, roots, levitations and encasements deployed from super powers at a rate of +1 second for every 500 Dominance (2 milliseconds per 1 point of Dominance).
    ·We removed one level 25 Flight, Acrobat and Speedster Race in Robinson Park due to the changes in that area. Feats that referenced these races have been changed to no longer include these races as requirements.
    ·Fixed an issue causing NPCs to not use the correct animation when in flight during cinematics.
    ·Players should no longer get stuck in a casting animation during a level up animation.
    ·Fixed a minor animation issue when jumping during combat.
    ·Slightly reduced the delay caused when activating a form change ability.
    ·Comical Personality: Performing a rude emote while in flight or hovering in flight should no longer cause the player’s character to distort.
    ·General improvements to how the follow camera behaves at different distances to the player's character. It is faster and easier to adjust the camera distance, and the character is framed better when the camera is closer.
    ·Added some mayhem to the Vault.
    ·We are updating screens with the new DC Universe Online logo so some screens may have the new logo while others may not.
    ·General optimizations for PC & PS3.

    Missions
    ·Low level Bounty and Wanted Missions in Gotham City and Metropolis are now level 30 and can be repeated daily. Players who currently have low level Bounty Missions in their Journal will see that these low level Bounty Missions have completed and their original rewards can be claimed.
    ·Leveling content Side missions in Gotham City and Metropolis are now re-playable with the exception of: “Rollercoaster of Doom”, “Two Bad”, “Hot Dog Zombie” “Rats, a Zombie” and “Sci-Phobia”.
    ·Leveling content Side missions are no longer shareable.

    · “Poseidon's Trident” side mission was removed as a result of the leveling content pass. Players who currently have this side mission in their Journal will see that this mission has been automatically completed and its reward can be claimed.
    · “Take Heart” side mission is no longer available due to updates in Robinson Park. Players who currently have this side mission in their Journal will see that this mission has been automatically completed and its reward can be claimed.
    ·Watchtower and Hall of Doom tour missions, Intro the Watchtower and Intro the Hall of Doom now requires completion of one of the following:
    oThe Hive (Hero)
    oBane Brought Down (Hero)
    oTrigon Loosed (Hero)
    oSweeter than Honey (Villain)
    oBane, Banished! (Villain)
    oHail Trigon! (Villain)
    ·“Research & Development” intro mission now requires completion of the Watchtower or Hall of Doom tours, “Intro the Watchtower” (Hero) or “Intro the Hall of Doom” (Villains)
    ·The Vault intro mission, “Vault Ambush!”, now requires completion of the Research & Development intro missions.
    ·Base intro mission, “Home is Where your Base Is” now requires completion of the Vault intro mission, “Vault Ambush!”, and level 8 in addition to its previous requirements so players should receive access to their Lair around level 9.
    ·The following missions are no longer auto-granted, reducing Journal clutter.
    o“Attack Brainiac” level 5 mission
    oLegends missions at levels 6,8,12
    oArena missions at levels 15, 20


    Powers (Tank Role-Taunt)
    ·The following abilities are now a single target taunt and no longer taunts enemies in an area. The effect is more powerful and will not be broken by a standard Tank Role taunt. This will allow multiple tanks working together to strategically split targets.

    Open Testing Feedback/Issues (does not include all):
    ·If a player character moves quickly to an entrance of an instance or Safehouse it can take some time for it to become available to the player.
    ·Sometimes players are being placed under the world in Metropolis upon login. We believe this is because the Test Server has not been restarted since Monday. If you are still experiencing this issue please let us know.
    ·Various art issues, including LoD, floating objects, and building reflection issues are being investigated and fixed.
    ·Several mission NPCs are using incorrect icons.
    ·No Meta Human Left Behind (Hero): Doctor Psycho has an issue that we are investigating.
    ·NPC handholds on objects are broken.
    ·UI: Mission Journal: When completing a mission, the subsequent mission does not automatically get tracked.
    ·PC Only: Inventory UI: Stack splitting does not function.
    ·PC Only: Icons sometimes appear to be “floating”.
    ·PC Only: Some gamepads no longer work in-game however most major brands still work.
    ·Game Credits are missing.

    General:
    ·Health bars on objects (e.g. the Couplings in the Awakening tutorial, Fear Gas Foggers) should no longer appear empty when they have health.
    ·A number of issues that would cause location-based background music to cut out have been fixed.
    ·Flight based NPCs will now properly move about when on the ground.
    ·Fixed issues causing NPCs and their associated content to float in the air in some areas of Metropolis. Pedestrians in these areas should also be back to their regular routine.
    ·The opening game cinematic should no longer be able to be skipped on accident by tapping the mouse button instead of holding the escape key.
    ·Players should no longer be disconnected from the server when switching characters.

    Missions:
    ·One Fish…Two Fish…: This mission is no longer gated. Fixed the issue with crystals not counting towards this mission.
    ·Falling STARS (Villain): Corrected an issue that could cause weapon attacks to fire incorrectly after recovering from the de-evolution Gorilla form.
    ·Looping back to complete the lower level origin missions should no longer grant you a second off-origin Watchtower or Hall of Doom tour mission.

    Races:

    ·Gotham Burnley Docks Adept Flight Challenge: Players are now able to pass through the train tracks as intended.

    oSometimes environment textures are taking too long to load in the open world. We believe this may be fixed. Please let us know if this continues to occur and we’ll investigate further.


    Alerts
    ·GU31: Coast City: All Heal barrels should now be targetable.

    Bounties
    ·Fixed not getting the first-time bounty mission which rewards you with an item, rather than Marks of Triumph. You must pick this one-time bounty mission up at the bounty posters. If you engage the encounter, you will be granted the Marks of Triumph daily mission.

    General
    ·Fixed a bug causing a crash during cinematic tours of areas (e.g. HQ Tours, Gotham Wastelands Tour).
    ·Fixed a crash in the Ferris Aircraft Duo.
    ·Fixed a bug that was causing a black ring/curved line in the reflection of city buildings.
    ·Capes should no longer pop significantly during Supersonic flight.
    ·Fixed NPC handholds on objects.
    ·Added more support for gamepads. We are still investigating which gamepad models need additional support so the support added thus far may not fix all gamepads. (PC only)
    ·GU31: Fixed an issue where you would not be placed back in the Hall of Doom after exiting the Armory. This only happened if you entered the Armory from the teleporter in the Hall of Doom.

    Gameplay
    ·Player Pets now once again match their owner’s speed and should no longer have de-spawn issues.

    Missions
    ·GU31: All main leveling content storyline missions can now be shared with your friends, with the exception of the following:

    ·Fear Burns: Corrected the icon on Science Police.

    Powers
    ·Nature: Swarm Shield will now always apply a shield to the character using it and up to three group members. Metabolism's icon has been updated.
    ·Sorcery: Boon of Souls will now always apply a shield to the character using it and up to three group members.

    Races
    ·Players should once again be able to complete the Suicide Slums Master Flight Challenge.

    Raids
    ·GU31: Paradox Wave: Fixed an issue with Jail domes not opening when the Tyrant is defeated, but the other sub-bosses haven’t been yet. They should now open when the Tyrant is defeated.

    Tooltip Descriptions
    ·Updated the following ability and stat descriptions to better represent what they do: Cryo-foam, Thermite Mine, Briar, Vine Lash, Metabolism, Swarm Shield and Restoration.

    User Interface
    ·Fixed an issue causing off-role loadout changes to not save if the player logs out before switching roles.

    oCrit bubbles are not appearing correctly – only the number and text show.

    Collections
    ·Lowered a collection in Robinson Park so it is accessible to non-flying characters

    General
    ·Fixed an issue causing icons to appear like they are drifting.
    ·Game Credits are no longer missing.

    Missions
    ·GU31: Panic Attack: Fear Gas Foggers in construction site are no longer targetable.
    ·GU31: Vengeful Spirits: Fixed issue where civilians would not time out and have their spirits torn. This will help reduce the time it takes to have a spirit to restore.
    ·GU31: School of Scandal: The Vanguard's will now properly animate after being cursed.
    ·Trigon's Blood: Fixed Vanguards not having KO icons when they are your mission objective.
    ·Blood Runs Cold: Updated icons to the updated style.
    ·Out in the Streets: Fixed heroes sometimes getting the villain icon on the venom crates.
    ·Greed: Fixed issue with Money bags losing their icons, when all the other tasks on the mission are completed.
    ·Fear Burns: Fixed door icons showing on science police.

    UI
    ·Fixed an issue in which pressing any PDA hotkey while the PDA was open would close the PDA rather than the menu you chose.
    ·Inventory stack splitting should now function again properly. (PC only)

    Visual
    ·Fixed an issue sometimes causing a local player’s Ability FX to drop out after zoning
