wow nature and electric is actually listed in the powers! and actually that the first thing I do when checking out a new game, check out clases, power, races, etc. so i went to game -> power -> learn more and it only just give a paragraph. I do see a bit more decription in guides but it's not liinked from there and guide is at the bottom in the main page. also seem to keeps talking about suport role not dps like the game is all about suport? DCUO is a game that focuses on support roles? I think the power shoudl be defined in more detail plus maybe even a short video or animation showing it off. Like Blade and Soul show off a video each power so it easy to see what each power does. if I was new I would still have to go youtube to find out more [since not enough info on the page], it would be nice if the page showed more about the powers in more details. Also the same with movement mode, and all the others instead of tha short paragraph when clicking on "learn more" maybe it should link up the the guide? and for movement mode an animation or video would be really cool to be easly linked here since I feel DCUO does have the best movemnet modes so far and should show this off. That just my impression on visiting the page......
Typo. This should be "exobits," or "exobytes," not "exobite." BASICS: CHOOSE YOUR POWER Tue Apr 19 2016 What exobite data have you contracted, making you more than a regular human? "
Like the new site, though I haven't found any information abount free/premium/allaccess account levels differences, is it still missing on the site? I think the chart is missing ever since legendary was converted to allaccess.
Overall I like it. I love the random twitch stream support and a few other things like general guide list etc. One minor thing I found on my Notebook with a lower resolution (1200x800) was that the blue top bar is blocking 1/3 of the browser window which also blocks information at a lower scrolled point. It would be great to use a script that scales down the navigation box (I know it exist cause I have seen it on other sides, I can link if it helps to understand what I mean) when you start scrolling down the page so it doesnt hinders the sight much on lower resolution screens. I also dont know when the website detects mobile screen size e.g. on my Tablet it didnt worked out either and I had the top navigtion bar blocking the view when scrolling down. I hope that helps to improve the page browsing for those who arent blessed with 1080p+ screens
Speaking about website-updates: The link on the Forum-list named " Contact Support This link will take you DCUO's support Website."links to the old support-page https://help.soe.com/, which is not working anymore.
Very nice indeed, there are a few errors though. The value bundle 3 says you need a CR rating of 43 to access it (It's basically copied the text from value bundle 1) and the descriptive difference between all access membership and PS membership is misleading. The text says that ps membership grants you the same benefits except where the asterisk highlights but this only says the difference is loyalty points instead of daybreak cash, it doesn't highlight that only PC members will have free access to play all other daybreak games listed. It's basically the same as the old site, the text has been lifted rather than reviewed (See below). >> PlayStation Membership All Access Membership and benefits are exclusive to DGC PC games. If you play DCUO on the PlayStation, Membership grants you the same amazing benefits*! Head to the PlayStation Store and get your Membership today! *Note: Playstation Membership grants 500 Loyalty Points, exclusive to DCUO on the PlayStation Network, instead of Daybreak Cash, which is exclusive to the PC game. I'm in the UK and the pages flick from GBP to USD as well. Just want to help correct things, I think the new site is much much better and I love the feed.
I doubt it. They really aren't going to put huge in depth sections about how to allocate power points, rotations, etc. All these "guides" serve is to just give you the most basic information about what is in the game to get people interested in trying it out. They are just teasers, no more, no less.
I had trouble finding the link to the forums maybe move the forum and Support link down to the big blue bar with GAME FEED MEDIA and SHOP
Love the new look! I love that you put Supergirl (CBS style) on that page and right in time for season finale. I also noticed that Melissa Beonist posted there. Very nice.
They will be adding more to the Guides section, what those guides entail we wont know until they release them. Allocating points and rotations comes from the community, not from the Devs so expecting that is a wasted effort. Lets not be so Debbie Downer onsomething thats new and is still building.
I get a comic bookieyyy kind of vibe (not a typo). Cool. One suggestion, feature my main toon somewhere. Hmmm come to think of it, add a featurette on a random "loyal" hero or villain somewhere on the site and rotate it every so often with a few comments from the person or have them write a short origin story, etc.
I found a few more edits for the Mentor Page (website quotes in white, my comments/reasoning in light blue, errors in bright green): --- In DCUO, it’s up to you to decide whether or not you want to fight for justice as a Hero, or to create mayhem as a Villain. "or not" here implies that the player has a choice to pick something other than a Hero or Villain. Players do not have that option, so the "or not" should be removed. The sentence reads more clearly without it anyway. --- Selecting Morality: Deciding which side of the fight you want to be on also dictates your allies and enemies. This decision also affects who your mentor is later in the character making process. Gerunds (-ing words) look like verbs but they function more like nouns. In these two cases, these 2 gerunds imply passivity. Since this is a directive that implies action, using the verb form is preferable to the gerund. "Select" and "Decide" should be used. --- Selecting Your Mentor: The next step is selecting your mentor. Depending on which morality you chose, you will receive three different options for a mentor. Your choice of a mentor determines what location you’ll begin your adventure and what missions you will complete. Mentor missions begin on levels 3,15 and 30. Again, the passive gerund should be replaced by the active verb "Select". There is a colon after the first title bar, but not on this one. Either is fine, but consistency is preferable. "What" is a determiner to select between general groups. "Where" is a determiner to select being specific places. "Which" is a determiner to select between specific groups. In the first case, "what location" should be replaced by "where". In the second case, "what" should be replaced by "which". Comma and spacing errors. Should read: 3, 15, and 30. Final suggestion: It would look nicer on the Mentor Chart if the designer could put a title bar at the top, reading Hero for the first column, and Villain for the second column. A thicker center line separating the two columns would be nice too. ALL IN ALL THOUGH, this is a great new site. I *really* like what y'all have put into this. Thumbs up!
One thought on your "Guides" section. You might point people who want further detail or advice to the forums. I know that I was playing for at least a month before I discovered the forums and was finally able to make sense of the troll role etc. I know some people like the whole figguring out the game is part of the game but I work on a RTFM mindset. I was kinda put out that the manual part of the website was basically pointing out the hud features.
