New Time Capsule

So they announced the new time capsule just now...

Overall, not impressed with the ability being locked behind a pay wall. On top of that, the "open 25 capsule" reward is something players may not even have access to use depending on their playstyle as it seemingly looks like a weapon style for 1 handed, 2 handed and dual wield...

On top of that, releasing the capsule when knowingly 1 of the emotes is bugged with "visual and animation issues" is kinda crazy i wont lie...

I agree. This should have remained cosmetics only.

Putting the iconic ability in with this is a huge step backwards.

Yay the 25th batman style that has nothing to do with the new dlc. I mean most of the people I know are talking about absolute wonderwoman new look but they have given use another batman style. Will I collect them yes because I have been grinding money for the past 3 weeks knowing a new tc was coming but really another batman.

Finally! A Batman style! I was starting to worry the Batman cosplayers might never be able to truly express themselves.

you know... I genuinely wouldn't mind seeing a time capsule that has 0 collections, 0 artifact stuff, 0 ally stuff etc... But this capsule would just be a bundle of new and random styles the community have asked for. Like 30-40 styles ranging from iconic chests to formal attire or even hair styles etc.

New hairstyles, formal attire, Joker waistcoat, Wonder Woman accessories, Superman Accessories, Hero/villain themed auras/materials, Different DCUO iconic styles like Voivode apparel etc. Or hell... A time capsule full of old (pre 2020) survival mode items ranging from base items to styles. Make them sellable on the broker

My issue with all the OP iconic abilities we’re getting is that my Celestial DPS now shoots omega beams and throws seed pods just to remain competitive…

Meanwhile my angelic celestial healer now calls in… biohazard scientists with shovels for backup?

I don’t want to criticise too heavily because at least we’re getting some cool stuff, but does it always have to be super OP meta-must-have? Hopefully this iconic is just a cool power rather than the next slice of DPS cheese.

Was only a matter of time before they added abilities into TCs… Man the devs really are trying to see how much whales are willing to spend huh?

And for those wondering, it will be from one of the collections. I don’t like feats in TCs, it whatever. A few SP here and there is a drop in the bucket. But an ability that I can only assume will be yet another OP ability that doesn’t split.

Releasing a TC with an bugged item, and announcing it will be fixed in a month, is damn crazy. But not surprising with the current direction the devs go.

I would much rather take power reworks/buffs/balancing than new powers.

Completely agree. Coins on marketplace, events and buyout, now this... They'll put iconic abilities into Booster Bundle too with feats. This way is just disgusting. But they don't listen...

Wow... so if i want the new iconic for all of my characters... i have to get the collection over and over again? This game is getting redicilous.... at least add a way to get it for all chars, once the collection is completed.

You know...I've never thought of using...or advocated for...gold/item sellers....but I'm starting to think I see why people do those things vs getting things the 'normal' way. A set price for an iconic ability that will likely be OP AND 50 point feat vs endless RNG gamble caps?
