far i have only received dps and healer gear, after running the alert and duos.

It's gonna be SOOOO funny to see the price of Expert Plans drop to 10 mil a piece because now there are 8 chances for them to drop in each raid instead of 1 chance. There will be 8 times as many in the broker. If drop rates translate correctly at least 2 should drop out of every raid end boss now. Who gets them almost won't even matter. Everyone will have them all soon and people will stop gettin ripped off having others craft them.

Just to make sure there are no misunderstanding here. Under the new system each player will be getting the equivalent loot drop as the old system divided between the group. I do not want to exhaust you with the math but if you typically do content with a league/team that is in complete agreement about who should get what from a drop then the new system will give exactly the same odds of getting what you wanted as the old.

Plain and simple, there is nothing but surplus in this new loot model for bosses. If you are complaining about being screwed here then you do not understand how this works. I am sure folks will keep on complaining that somehow we took something away but in this case they are wrong.

When you say divided do you mean that we will get random loot as if in the old system all the loot was evenly divided amongst everyone? Or do you mean we all get a random entire loot table to ourselves? The latter would be like we each were soloing the raid(in terms of loot) but really we're not.

You get the entire loot table to yourself. And yes, it will be like you are soloing the raid bosses and sub bosses.

hmm maybe you were just luck.. it sounds too good to be true

out of curiousity -- and incase no one else has asked yet, why not just change all of the gear and weapons drops into unattuned versions at this point? i ask because the only people i can imagine complaining at this point are the people who are X role and get a drop for Y role and think they should only get drops they can equip.

So I know you said you don't want to bore us with the numbers, though it'd probably help a few of us understand better, let me see if I have this straight. Let's take Nexus for example. On the Live server right now, there's usually an expert plan that drops, an FE V, and about 2 pieces of gear. At first it seemed like those 4 items would be distributed among all 8 group members. In other words, I have a 1/8 shot at getting any of those 4 items. I could get all 4, I could get squat. But among the group in the raid, only those 4 items would be received.

Under the new system, you're saying it could go either way? So there's a loot table, again with expert plans, FE Vs, and gear. Each of the 8 people in the raid have a chance to get any of the items. So, on the downside, someone could just get marks as happens now? Everyone gets unlucky and gets FE Vs? A healer gets an 87 controller chest while one of their league's trolls, who was running with them, is sporting one lower? And on the other end of things, the team could get super lucky and multiple expert plans are dished out? I guess I'm not currently seeing how this is better mathematically for most teams, especially since higher level raids are being run as leagues or groups with set loot rules.

No everyone would get at least 2 pieces of gear from the final boss, while others may get an expert plan, time traveler, or have some of their 86cr pieces upgraded to traces. Also so far from testing i have not got anything outside of healer or dps role while doing the T5 content as a celestial dps.

It's the exact same chance you had before this new system actually. Think about it for a sec, does that lovely piece of gear you covet drop every single time you run the content? No, right?

Lets say it dropped 1 out of 10 runs. If you run with your homies that will pass on it for you, you will still have a 10% chance of getting it every time you run, in other words 9 out of 10 runs you won't get what you want even with your friends helping you out. With the new system, if they keep the same drop rate for that item, you will get 1 out 10 chances of it dropping, exactly the same as before.

In both systems It's a 100% chance IF it drops, but it won't always drop. The only difference between one system and the other is that with the old system you have to rely on your friends to get it, if you pug, your chances drop significantly because there's no guarantee you won't get ninja'd. With the new system, if you pug, your chances are the exact same as if you run with your friends.


And can someone please explain to me why it's a good idea that you only get drops for your role? This would mean you could potentially get the same piece of tank gear (if you're tank) over and over and over. Then people would cry "why do i always get these useless shoulders??" and demand the system gives them role apropriate AND not-collected drop.
Would this make people happy? a system where in 8 runs you complete the set and never want to run that instance again? Maybe, maybe not, cuz then people would complain they have nothing left to play for. So where's the satisfaction?

People will just complain no matter what. This new system removes one of those points of contention, not all of course, but you can't please everyone.

not trying to be rude, but every time they've talked about the new system they've said it will "multiply" the amount of loot. What i understand from that is that if a Nexus run used to drop 1 plan, 1 FEv and gear to be distributed amongst the 8 players, now it will drop 1 plan, 1 FE V and 2 pieces of gear for EACH player.

Why is that a bad thing, people? 8 times more loot is only good in my view. If we're doing league runs, that means there's 8 times more chances of the league getting an expert plan to share with everyone.

I don't get all he complaints, this system is 8x better than the old, why is it hard to see?

It pretty straightforward. Under the new system everything that would have dropped for the group drops for you exclusively. Just think of any boss drop you have seen in T5 content and simply give it all to yourself. No math required. You personally have a 100% chance of getting everything in the boss drop.

Do you have control over what drops in nexus now? can you make nexus give you 87 gear and expert plans now? right now you only get to control how it's being distributed, not what drops.

Actually it seems like great times for them for deadmeats last post. Seems like they will have won the roll for everything. Also gerat times for the complainers too. As they will win everything as well. Of course the complainers will still complain, because its about complaining and not ninja looting.

Thanks for clearing that up! One final question though, someone posting something that seemed to suggest that the MOR was now part of the loot table and not gauranteed, any truth to that? I dont really believe it but i think it was posted from someone on test.

thats only for the raven bounty for the bounty ONLY you can MoR or a box giving you the choice of gear from opposite faction
