New Loot System

Not buying it, I only have a problem if it drops traces in time dps I need for stats, it can go to someone else off role for style. That is whack!

You forgot the focusing elements!

You get a separate drop. The regular RNG drop that you get currently will go straight to your inventory and be different for every other player. You will have different items than them.

Given soe's track record on loot tables, this new system may end being the worse idea ever?

Everyone that asked for this terrible system will be getting exactly what you deserve. It's a pity you had to drag the rest of us down with you.

Ok so now instead of people complaining about ninja looters getting the drops, they will complain that their loot boxes never give them
Relevant gear. Soe, please just make all of the gear unnatuned now and save all the annoying threads.

if that system were in place 2 weeks ago i would have:
1 87cr dps hand.
2 86cr dps ring.
1 87 dps waist.
1 87cr dps feet.
1 85cr dps mask.

Prec & might exp,next soder cola plan,dom&might exp.

And then you will be complaining all you get is waist/hand/feet and never chest/legs/head.
People will complain no matter what they do.
They can't let you get everything in nexus or paradox or any other content with only 2-3 runs, or people
will stop playing it.

IF they do what deadmeat said they are doing, and dont mess with loot table and drops,
everyone will be happy.
I can't wait this to be in game.

I agree 100% I'm tired of all the base drops and I'm not looking forward to a system that works under the "well you get something that you might not need " if they made everything non roll till you equip it I wouldn't mind it but .

I keep seeing this response. Am I weird? I play the game because it is fun. I enjoy the content & teaming up with leaguemates. I run content because I enjoy it. Are there really players only playing top level content for styles? If so, why? If you are playing this game primarily for the styles, might I suggest you acquire a fashion designer game?

Let us have unnatuned gear. I promise most of us will not quit DCUO because we have all the time traveler set.

yes, it is fine, my issue is that I get the healer gear, I cant use, and a healer that CLEARLY needs it cant or wont get it.

if i'm correct this is how it works:

you get to the boss, finish him off and loot drops.

if that boss drops an 87cr piece, an 86 cr piece, an expert plan, an fe5 and a base item everyone in the group gets an 87cr piece, and 86 cr piece, an expert plan, an fe5 and a base item...just not the same item.

so the tank can get an 87 healer chest, the dps can get an 87 controller piece, the controller can get an 87 tank chest , the healer can get an 87 healer chest, the other healer gets an 87 controller face etc....

if it so happens the boss doesnt drop an 87 cr item no one will get an 87 cr item.

if no expert plan made it to the loot drop no one will get an expert plan etc...

Yes after i finish the TT and the traces in time gear i will still play nexus and paradox,
But there will be no reason for me to use reaply on it.
look how many people used replay on the Ops to get gear and marks in order to do the raids,
and now they barely even play it, im only playing it to build marks for the new 86cr gear on the new dlc
and after i hit the cap im done with again.

Most of the time that I run Nexus/Paradox I leave with NO loot anyway. So there isn't much of a difference with the new system except you will now at least get something to salvage if nothing that you want drops.

We run with 4 dps so one of them always needs that stuff. I'm a Troll so the Tank and Healer loot is useless to me. If at a rare chance some Troll loot drops it is either the same cr or lower than my current gear or the other troll gets it. We try to be fair about weapons and let lower cr people have them first before someone who already has an 86 rifle

The new system means I will get to keep any plans, base items, weapons and any 87/88 cr loot that drops. Much better!

Also to clarify about the Raven bounty. It is the same as Obot and Mbot. You get a mark or the rare chance at some gear. The difference with Raven is that the gear comes as a missive that allows you to chose which part you want. It will be rare but at least each time it drops you can get a new part.

There is NO box. just random loot goes straight to your inventory including the marks.

Yes! only raven bounty drops a box that will either contain new gear style or MOR. rest of T5 contents will drop random loot that goes straight to your inventory including the marks.
