New Loot System

The new loot system is currently in place on the test server. As the devs have said, it is only in place to T5 content for this game update. They will update the older content at a later time. You will still roll on items the drop from random mobs.

For those that don't know. The new system allows everyone in a group or raid to receive their own loot from boss fights.

So dummies are still gonna get all angry over being "ninjad" on the trash drops! Yay! We have not seen the end of those threads afterall!

does everybody get the same drop in their box or everybody gets different drops?

From what ive seen in the bounties (if that counts) everyones stuff seem to be random and its only one thing. Although i'm not to sure because one time someone got to pick a piece of unholy gear and then another time just got MOR. One person got MOR from the box 5 times in a row.

Its all random. Each player gets a randomly generated stab at the loot table. Each players loot is 100% independent. Its basically the solo system.

That's too bad. I liked the old system.

Hopefully we can get some info from the test but this was added to the patch notes.

Loot System Changes
·We have changed the way loot is dropped for players in Origin Crisis and Sons of Trigon content. This affects multiplayer PVE content only, i.e. Duos, Alerts and Raids (and their Operation counterparts).
·Players that defeat a boss or sub-boss will get their own loot that is separate from other players' loot, meaning players will instantly receive their loot and will no longer roll against other players. This includes items that are not guaranteed to always drop such as Research and Development plans or Utility Belts. Some players may receive these items from a boss, while others might not.
·It is important to note that items dropped from regular non-boss NPCs are not included in these changes, and will be rolled on by the group as they do currently.

Was this just added in ? I was watching some duos and alerts earlier and people still had to roll on bosses.

I think it is just added in. There is no box. You just receive the item like you would in a solo. Ran Trigon's prison and every boss dropped an Item with Trigon Dropping a weapon. I didn't even notice i was getting drops until I fought two of his sons lol.

So reward boxes are only from bounties ?

I think so.

Any word on whether the loot will be usable by the character that got it? Last thing I want or need is independent loot that's as crappy as what we have now in t2-t3 areas: getting role specific items that your current character can't use and you can't trade.

Wait you can receive just an MOR?

That doesn't sound good.

If thats the case they may want to make the box in addition to stuff.

like if the boss had 2 drops and an iconic piece

the boss now drops 1 & box + everyone receives marks & the iconic piece can still drop independently.
