Originally this was not possible because of the power trees that existed in the past. However since they removed them I have hoped that they brought back some powers that were previously removed (HLs shielding I’m looking at you). And also hoped that it would give them reason to add new abilities to the game.
The devs are missing a very big opportunity here. A lot of games like this have “specialist trees”. As in when you reach a certain level you can specialize in something additional to your power. Same thing could be implemented in dcuo where once you hit lvl 10 you can choose between a support role in addition to your dps role. IE picking time be either a healer or tank. This could make current abilities act different depending on role or even introduce new abilities to existing powers tied to the specialization.
But doubt it would ever happen

Rather than just give us new abilities, what if they allowed all powers to be all roles. If I remember correctly, this was originally what was planned for DCUO.
So you could have a Fire Healer, Rage Controller, or even a Ice Controller.
1000% behind that idea. I've posted about that a time or . #1 thing I'd like to see DCUO do. Little late in the game, but it would be welcomed. New powersets...meh...maybe. New abilities for current powersets ...that would be awesome. The ability to choose any role for any powerset...yes please.
I would rather them just make use of the iconiic powers and add to that because a whole new power can get old quick while iconic powers can always be updated.
because that would call for a whole new revamp. One I wouldn't mind as long as artifacts were gone.
No matter how much you hate them, they will never go away. It’s such a large market for them that they have no reason other than the kindness of their hearts to get rid of them. And that means they won’t be going away. And artifacts themselves are not bad. It’s how much of a low drop rate they have and the internal timer they have. If the removed the timer completely and set them as a drop chance than it would fix so much. But let’s not turn this thread into another place to cry about artifacts
We need new habilities and iconics to play with.
The revamp was a huge fraud. I didnt settle the foundation for ANYTHING, nothing new came after that except artifacts. It was just another way to fill our inventories with crap and try to make us spend money, while the marketplace is dead and they never add new cosmetic stuff that its for straight purchase. You have to gamble with everything. The devs need to change a lot of stuff like that.
