  1. Multiverse Creator League

They do have a black Superman.

    Actually they have a couple.

They have Val Zod from Earth 2.... and Calvis Ellis from Earth 23 who also happens to be the president of the US.

Yes, several WWE dudes have it that way on tights, though it's usually matching in color and patterns and it works fine.

i love the new 52 superman look personally. I always hated the outaide underwear thing, cus like, why?
  5. Solarverse2 New Player

You think that works fine? All a matter of opinion I guess...
  6. Solarverse2 New Player

I think I can answer that...

Because back when these characters were created, wearing tights was considered strange, and not modest. The underwear on the outside was needed for modesty. They hide the package of the human sexual organs.

These days, it is no longer needed, and it looks plain silly.

Well you can also say that about wearing spandex, fruity pebbles colors and basically if they don't look anything close to the outfit of the first x men movie or close to a SWAT gear it would look silly. Not even to mention combat stilletos for women or stripperific outfit offering no protection for non super physically resistant women.
  8. RealGODofWar New Player

Wonder woman is aloud to loo like a stripper because shes invulnerable? Doesn't she use bracers to block bullets anyhow? Mighty useful if those bracers covered more of her body...
  9. Multiverse Creator League

    Sure..... it looks silly.

Who would ever wear such a costume.

Who would wear underwear....... or as other mentioned...... look like a stripper???

    Who indeed.

Yeah I guess no one would wear bright spandex costumes these days.

Who would think that it looks fine..... right?? ;)

Yeah.... who would wear fruity pebbles spandex.

    That is crazy talk. :p

Because when most of these characters were created, back in the 1930s and '40s, the artists based their colorful costumes on the garb worn by athletic performers such as boxers, wrestlers, circus strongmen, and acrobats:

And it could ALWAYS be worse... some of those guys looked downright... um, CONFUSED, I'll say:

Thank God.... no one would ever wear anything like that today, ;)

Superman NEEDS sponsors on his outfit NOW like Nike or something!
  15. Multiverse Creator League

    Nike???

    you are so 1990.

Now it is Red Bull baby!!! ;) ;)

Funny how you focused on the helmet as opposed to the spandex. ;(
  16. WildPegasusrs Dedicated Player

I didn't even pay attention to the helmet, just uniform they are required to wear and not their personal choice usually come with sponsors.
  17. Multiverse Creator League

The only sponsor we see is on the helmet.

    Is USA a sponsor now???

I thought it standed for team USA???

For example in the DCU... if Superman was wearing this.... USA would be replaced by JLA for team JLA.

SO not sure where you see a sponsor on the spandex.

Or do you mean other spandex??? if yes do you have an example??

I believe it is called the "Spider-Verse".

Didn't know Mother America sewn on its own the spandex, I would have thought it was more something like... Under Armour.
Just like every other spandex wearers in International competitions, each have their brand. It may be small, on the sleeves or between shoulder blades but they all do: http://mentalfloss.com/article/54704/what-us-olympic-teams-will-be-wearing-sochi

On Skeleton team, it's a bit more apparent, granted:
