Need Earth Tanking Advice

    I need some earth tanking advice such as general tanking loadout, nexus tanking loadouts, and paradox tanking loadouts. Currently building my alt tank and want to know what to do before i hit T5.

    For T5 raids i run jackhammer gemstone shield epicenter e grip damage shift brick. For the sentry fight in wave i sub brick for crystal and damage shift for totem. Every 25% the sentry spawns adds u drop totem right where they spawn so it knocks them down and gives u time to react and safely taunt/pull/cc them.

    Thanks for the advice. Quick question is there a difference between crystal and brick in regards to tanking i.e. taunting ability

    In tank stance Crystal rebuffs + does more damage and with totem she gets increased crits. The rebuffs are key though occasionally ill get block broken and she will pick me up. Brick is more tank and spank though.

    Brick has higher survivability and taunts enemies off you when you're low on health (which can prove very helpful at times, brick can be worth it even without damage shift).

    The loadout I've been using recently for almost all content:
    Tectonic Break, Jackhammer, Damage Shift, Brick, Gemstone Shield, Hardlight Shield.

    Depending on encounter I might swap damage shift for epicenter or earthern grip. I find pulls to be rather overrated, in 95%+ of content you won't really need them and they'll just take a space on your loadout that could be used for something else.

    Tectonic Break is nice for aggroing stuff, decent 360 degrees ranged attack with no cooldown. Will also give Jackhammer a CC effect.
    When Brick dies, when running damage shift, jackhammer first for a fast absorption bonus before resummoning him (if you have jack on your loadout).

    When summoning Brick in the heat of battle you can get knocked out of it. To avoid this, always clip the summon with another ability (or trinket or whatever).

    Shards is a great CC move.

    Epicenter has a longer range than Jackhammer and Tectonic Break (which have the exact same range).

    One last question is there any special way an earth tank should mod his gear or stat that i should look out for?

    Dom & Health absorbtion will always be a flat 50% that will not scale. Personally i stack health so dom/health health/pre & health/power for mods and all health innates for skill points and only the first tier dom/def.

    I mod Dom health expert for all. The affinities aren't worth it IMO. As for sp get Dom and health as well. The defense isn't going to be noticed if you have at least 7k effective defense and home turf neck mod.
