my apologies for having no cool video, but this is coming from a troll that stopped trolling since revamp hit (rare occassions i trolled). just hear me out and enjoy my experience as i hunted for ways to survive at a low cr in the hive raid elite. i managed to join a villain raid in progress...a late night one. they must've been shouting for a troll for an extremely long time. i sent a tell....telling the truth... "i never took my troll toon in there, sorry".. the reply "get him"...they wanted me in LOL.... my little guinea pigs will test my newfound troll abilities. i am a cr 235 troll with 318 sp supercharged spec with points into vit and might/power. power efficiency chest mod. bastion iii head mod, horrific visage cooldown back mod....courtesy of our base vendor capsules. so to the raid. i kept dying at the first boss room. my debuffs weren't doing cool things. apparently you need a lot of dominance to do cool things as a troll in the raid. 5700 dom and i was only 5200 dom with an omega. bulldozer later, i was able to do cool things until i died. we got to the boss duo, but one boss spawned right below me. i could not see the bosses spawn......well, because i was flying. who would've known flying can get you into trouble. next attempt....nailed it. i bump up to cr236 with a gear drop. still needing bulldozer to do cool things. here comes the second boss. people be saying many things about this boss fight.. they say do not drop supply drops. guess what? deathstroke will drop his own %$&#en supply drop and pulls out this megaman beam just beaming to crap through me like that laser room in resident evil....multiple times. someone suggested flying...flying helps. guess what? that resident evil supply drop lazer light show will find you if you're flying! the best thing i figured out to do? BLOCK! once i figured out how to block at the second boss... golden. we beat deathstroke. the strangest thing happened next. people were saying "ty" and "thank you"....and started leaving... apparently last boss isn't worth trying yet? all in all, i have to give the developer props in many regards. - artifacts that made my life easier as a troll: rao rank 82, parasite rank 47, kandor soder rank 5 - giving me the leisure of opening free capsules in my base vendor of what used to be time capsule tactical mods....bastion 3, horrific visage (i like ghosting...often, but need more dom), power efficiency - forcing me to get a higher dominance to do cool things in new elite raids - deathstroke megaman resident evil laser beam that one shots those invulnerable-thinking flyers - very fun dialogs with quotes in the new episode i can joke with people about - and all the rest of the troller freebies that i didn't have to farm.. . this troller is no longer retired.
After you get your parasite to lvl 80, think about getting the soul cloak artifact and leveling it up to 80 also. Those 3 artists are great for trolls. Just test between them to find what you like to run with, even switch them out from time to time. Glad you enjoy trolling again
I had almost the opposite experience to you. Few in the League at last boss & couldn't get a troll. I reluctantly agreed to try to help on alt who has under 9k vit & level 80 dps artifacts (granted 1 was soul cloak). Got it done after a while. 1 of the guys in League had decent strategy. Assuming people are running 2 tanks, 2 heals, 3 dps & 1 troll, you need 1 really good, geared tank (cos Terra hits hard) & a couple of good heals. As long as 1 tank can deal with Terra, the main pressure point seems to be gas stage. So anyone & everyone who has an SC shield should use it then. Beyond that, range dps & everyone bar 1 tank behind the rocks that come up...& when they go down all block until tank has aggro on Terra again. Conversley my main joined a group as a dps & the first boss was a s**tshow. I use the term boss loosely as I don't think the boss actually appeared, tanks going down & therefore wipes before he even came out.
there is an abundance of tanks it seems like...at least late at night. i gave things a whirl. giving power is starting to become easier. it was the parasite power harness that i got to rank 80. debuffs give power to yourself and up to 7 others. i opted in for the amulet of rao artifact so i might get the multi-debuff option when i get that into rank 80. soul cloak was tempting, but i took the xp and put it into the parasite power harness. and i like how that kandor soder gives power back to the group.
