Lead Producer Kendricke, Lead Designer Red Five and Character Artist Glitter joined me for a fun Interview! This also marks the start of my "Lasso of Truth" DCUO Podcast! Hopefully I will be able to do more Dev Interviews in the future, but I also plan to bring some players into the podcast aswell! Stay tuned for more, but for now - Dive into this one >>
First congratulations on this. It's nice to have a content creator sit down with the devs. Thing is though people are voicing some very valid concerns here on the forums and there's literally no response. I think it's incredibly disrespectful to ignore the community as a whole and also so is playing favorites. This is not directed at you I'm talking to the devs who have kept everyone in the dark for quite some time. Let's see if my comment remains or if it will be removed in the name of"trolling".
Im glad this interview happened but i can understand almost nothing due to the sound of the mics being so bad the only mic i could understand was from Glitter.
Congratulations Eve! I think this went well for a nice casual interview! At least Kendricke acknowledged the community when he was discussing how much we care. If we didn't care, we wouldn't be making these posts. They may seem heated, but they do see them. I've been here a long time, seen very much a pendulum of communication with the community. I do agree, we've been in the farthest away as it can go, but at least we know they are trying to fix the problems.
Yeah, it's low, but I turned up the volume and used the auto-generated subtitles. I use subtitles with most videos anyways, when it can. I'm getting older and harder to hear. lol
So that absolve everything and we should give them a well deserved pat on the back? I watched the video which is why I commented in the first place. Let's see if there's a change or not.
Trying isn't good enough. We're not talking about Uncle Joe with issues trying. we're not talking about little Timmy trying to make the basketball team. Heck we're not even talking about spice ice trying to make good music... We're talking about people taking money for service and not only not providing the service but not even a mumbling word. I'll sing my praises and put down the shotgun when action has been taken. This be should be a joyful moment where we celebrate a great thing but it's tainted because they let frustration build up.
I'm not a fan of them going on a podcast to communicate instead of coming on the forums and doing it. There's a ton of issues in this game that need to be addressed. If they have time to go on a podcast they have time to communicate with the community and address our concerns.
I think you did a fantastic job with it. Not even halfway through with it and I am now more thann ever certain I want a Doom Patrol dlc and I want Glitter in charge of Danny the Street. Somebody get her these comics stat.
“…If they have time to go on a podcast they have time to communicate with the community…” Going on a podcast is communicating with the community…did you turn your sound off? …not watch the screen? Damn bro, lol
For those using Microsoft Windows 11 (and probably Windows 10), you can go into Control Panel -> Hardware & Sound -> Select your playback device and double click -> Enhancements -> Loudness Equalization It's still a little distorted at times, but it is a lot better with that setting enabled.
I think Danny the Street would make a very interesting piece of content. Maybe make it an operation, where you go through different buildings that they create for you to help fend off whatever we have to battle in them. They help us throughout the way. Maybe a duo or solo. Would be really nice. Could make it a pride event content or something. I liked the Doom Patrol series and the ending with Robotman got me pretty hard.
Like getting the government to admit they are corrupt and dishonest for power. Sorry to say, we neglect and ignore our own lives as it is. To worry about devs of a game. I'm saying, It's their game, just as your life is yours. You don't have to answer to people involved in your life. Devs don't have to respond to Negative Feedback/Arguments. As from time to time, they have told us that they are aware and noted our feedback. That is an answer and we don't seem to pay attention to it due to we are busy arguing with other's posts. And threads gets flooded. Staff/Dev Tracker can help us with their posts. They have made it clear that do ignore thread and pages and pages of arguments.
I realized something true today as I used all my villains accumulated marks to buy bottled hypertime for my main characters op head.
