Really, 49 coins to gather for the daily mission now!?! This seasonal always had a messed up time to gather enough currency to vendor prices ratio, so alts were heavily recommened, but at least the daily mission was relatively short in the past to offset that, but what's the reason for pretty much doubling the mission requirement now (crossing fingers for just a simple mistake)?

Having looked at the vendor prices now, i also gotta roll my eyes at the first week discount, which just seems like a red herring to me to distract from the fact that even with that discount it's gonna take 165 Lucky Clovers/currency to get everything feat related (IF you buy everything in the first week, gonna be 220 currency after). Unless the exploration mission got changed to a daily (won't see till tomorrow i guess), we get 14x4+2x8 = 72 Lucky Clovers per character.

I echoed this sentiment in another thread but now an official one exists, I'm reposting with an edit given the ridiculous Daily coin yield that's required now:

Alright, whoever's making the call to divert resources away from Seasonals in general needs to reassess the situation.

This is inexcusable. You had a whole year to make new resources for this event. Instead you recycled the scrapped items from last year's test debacle and gave us NOTHING new. I don't even know if you fixed the prices either which was what we were all complaining about in the first place.

On top of that, zero base items again? Seriously? I mean, you couldn't have coded in some of the castle resources from Kaznia at the very least? You've been relying on that aspect for the past 3 seasonals now (or two, since Valentine's day also had NOTHING,) so why not just lean into it. One of the best aspects of the new DLC (and the only one for me personally) is how much the art team absolutely knocked it out of the park and yet we have barely any furniture to show for it to create things ourselves. You could have even finally put in the Stained Glass Window from 2021 you said you'd be 'adding later.' And yet, you couldn't even be bothered to do that.

It seems the new 'seasonal' is in the Campaign/event tab rather than the actual seasonal itself. Easier to keep up the timesink ratrace of daily logins for a lackadaisical style and a feat you can't get again than actually put in any effort whatsoever for the creatives in your community.

You wanna know what actually sinks time in this game? Building bases. Farming for furniture. You want to retain player's engagement? Create and utilize things in your game that'll make people want to create and utilize the game. But instead, all the resources you put into this seasonal went into changing the daily mission to be over twice as long- 49 Coins now btw if anyone hasn't seen, DAILY- for the same mark yield as before. This is unbelievable.

    Do better.

Edit: Wow... Hey, so, you guys remember that awesome half off sale? Turns out the devs ninja nerfed old St. Par's furniture too. It was 6 marks per piece, now they're 10. All cooblestones, glowing stones, pub furniture- it's all 10 marks apiece. Triskelion Mosaics and Castle Portals, they upped to 25.

So your discounted price for this week, for furniture that used to be 6 marks? Oh, they're 7 marks. Incredible. I am beyond disgusted at this development team.

I’m hoping someone has fluffed up something here and you’ll fix it with a hotfix because what is this- 49 coins to collect for 4 marks? Inflating the pricing of previous years rewards to make the vendor “discount” an *increase*?

    Mischief indeed.

It’s bad enough we’re not getting new base items, but now you’re slapping us in the face.

I'd like to echo my fellow base decorators on that. I hate to say it but this is not a discount, this even makes the prices worse than before. I need to catch up on last year's feats and this year's and right now I don't think I will play the event at all. Upping the coins to 49 should have the amount of clovers go up aswell. I'm just really disappointed.

This is super shady stuff. It honestly reminds me of that Fallout 76 Christmas Emote bundle scandal from a few years back that ended up being illegal in some parts of the world. While that was for Atoms that you could only get with money and that's why their fake sale got them in trouble so technically Daybreak isn't breaking the law to my knowledge, someone with more legal knowledge should take a peek

In addition to my original post, you can also get 8 Lucky Clovers from the ''The One Who Waits'' alert, though i'm not sure if you want to run that on all your alts every single time/day, even on casual taking me roughly 8 minutes per run.

I still say reduce those vendor prices, you want us to have fun with these seasonals or you want us to just grind our ***** off for currency?

Done the daily 49 coins mission and it feels like a 8-player mission. heavy time consuming grind

Posted this in another thread but thought it should also be echoed here. I wasn't positive at first so I didn't remark, but after watching other content creator's videos from last year, it seems the mark yield for the Open World mission was also nerfed.

In 2024 the daily used to grant 8 Clovers for 23 coins. Now you have to get 49 coins for 4 Clovers.

Double the work, half the reward.

Edit: The Tour also used to grant 14 Clovers, now it's only 8.

Apparently, going off what my leaguemate told me, queuing the Doom: The One Who Waits disconnected him and told him 'Down for Maintenance' and after he relogged it queued, they made it to the first boss and the boss never came out. They couldn't warp to rally because they were stuck in combat. Maybe this is why we still need public test server.... The pricing for these event items seems strategic to try and boost the sale of Lucky Clovers, speculation of course.

The event is so short, if you don't have a surplus of event marks from previous years, it's going to be more than difficult to complete the associated feats much less catch up on past seasonal purchases. I suppose they figured it out...

And that's not all, now you have go back to Mister Mxyzptlk's to finish the daily task...
everything is done as tediously as possible so that we open our wallets and buy currency... sorry "developers" but after such disrespect for loyal customers, I would rather not play this event at all than buy currency, and of course this is another drop... sooner or later the cup will overflow...

Should have looked here before creating a post saying this event is now a scam, which it still is.

More work for the same/less resources and increased prices.
Since when did inflation need to go into our vendor prices.

How do you get the Emerald sequins chroma? It says it's a reward for completion but I did the event and got nothing. It's not in the rewards vender either.

I'll wait to see what they do to the spring seasonal but if they pull more stuff like this I might pack it back in

You do what you gotta do. I used to look forward to seasonals and running many toons through the gauntlet, but as of recently, I find it hard to derive any joy from seasonals like I used to, due to it feeling more like an increased workload and less of a fun pastime, and besides that the seasonals for the most part have never evolved over the years.

For those who have already gotten all they can out of them (feats, base items, styles, et cetera) good on them for doing so, however, I imagine based on some of what I have read in this thread, more folks are feeling stressed and aggravated. I'm not going to let it affect me, but I don't think I will do more than the bare minimum for the 10 day reward.

You have to log in for 10 days and complete one of the dailies of the seasonal the open world mission or the "One Who Waits" on-duty alert.
